@LuxLunae play what faction you want and enjoy the game with your family and friends. Guilds are a dime a dozen or just make your own.

Alliance lock is a cancer and this is one of the symptoms.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

same with me, but trading guild. I forgot to pay 5k and they kicked me. More than year being in that guild and such attitude just for some days of expired donat.

Rules is rules though. PvP and trade guilds are very rude. Try social guilds with PvP orient. Social guilds have way more polite specs.

Thing about some trade guilds is some have an add on handling the kicking for people that miss dues.

In OP case an officer or guild leader probably saw and kicked them, there are a lot of guilds that don't allow players of other factions to join its usually crystal clear in the guilds rules in most cases.

As for OP about spies I completely agree, you get a lot of players scattered around the map, even the ones doing PVE content there at least on the EP the only faction I visit Cyrodiil on, they call out sightings of AD and DC more often than not that will be their sole contribution to helping their faction, while they carry on questing.

Its a guild you had been with for years I would have expected some sort of warning or at least an explanation as to why you have been kicked, feels kinda pathetic to kick someone who has been there for a long time with no notice.

I am in a few trade guilds that also PVP, none of them are bothered if I play on another faction, I don't do enough to make a dent in the scoreboards one way or the other I usually only do enough PVP to get to tier 1 rewards and get a reward for the worthy to open each day if I need the transmute stones.

All I can say is that it was your guilds loss, plenty of other guilds out their that would be willing to take an experienced PVP player.

console player...been faction jumping on the same map since before it became a thing in 2017 or so...

i can't even begin to guess just how many pvp guilds i've been kicked from over the years...for a while it really bothered me a bunch...in my mind i have always been most loyal to the characters i built and played...

after getting kicked - i would go hard against that faction (usually AD) for a few weeks...

whether the character is DC, EP or AD - cyrodiil is probably the only place in the game where i go all in on role playing (well, there and maybe that one little spot in riften...you know what i mean :o)...

for myself it was simply about fighting with whatever character (and their alliance) i was playing at the time...

finally got smart around 2019 or so and simply stopped joining PVP guilds...

i mean, we're all supposed to be adults right?

who cares what color you wanna be at the moment as long as you help your allies and destroy your enemies...

i really hate the fact that our toons are forever locked to a single alliance...i get it from a coding standpoint, but, still it's more hindrance to free play than anything...

started seven new characters over on my sister server...kept the first five in the same faction (DC)...for some crazy reason i thought it might be fun to put a nercomancer in each of the other alliances (EP and AD)...really wish i hadn't done that now...because of faction lock they can't play on the main map, and, because pops are forever diminishing - i can only pvp in cyro with them during midyear mayhem...

I used to be in a guild that was like that. They allowed you to play other factions but if you were in the same campaign as the guild in another faction you were kicked. I respected that. Each guild have their own rules that need to be respected.

My main pvp guild will kick players who play other factions in our main campaign, people are free to play their other alliance characters in the other campaigns. This is made clear to all players and is on the guild message of the day. So long as a guild is clear about the rules, that's fine and people are free to leave or stay as suits them. Perhaps your guild has the same rule and they didn't appreciate seeing you on a red?

    That makes zero sense.
    A. Faction Loyal guilds with rules about cross-faction play far predate the return of alliance-locked campaigns.
    B. Alliance-locked campaigns mean that players won't play opposite their guild's faction. This problem can really only arise on a faction-unlocked campaign where players can fight on multiple sides of the conflict if they choose.
    C. The locked or unlocked status of the campaign has little to do with whether or not a player chooses to follow the rules of their PVP guild.

If you meant to say "Alliance loyalty is a cancer", that might actually make sense. I'd disagree, given that was the original intent for Cyrodiil and that guilds are free to set their own rules for participation, but it would make more sense.

Some advice.. get on your knees crouch and stealth walk to the location...Let's face it YOU DONT HAVE THAT MUCH DETERMINATION TO KEEP YOUR PLANS SECRET..SO STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DO....

Sry, call outs aren't a thing on any faction but mine, so when we're greeted at a keep, it's spies.

I had a guild I was in for the trader. They had invited me because I bought a lot of motifs from them. They didn't bother telling me they were PvP guild. I found that out later. I went in to do the quests for Midyear Mayhem and apparently was the wrong color. I got kicked. Took me about 5 minutes to find another trade guild in zone chat so the hell with them.

Sorry to hear you got booted from your guild. I know some do have strict rules about faction hopping - and most of the times I get their reasoning. But it still suck to be booted from a long time guild.

That aside, I recently decided to leave AD due to overall toxicity in the guild and - per my sister's constant teasing and nudging over the past 4 years - finally decided to go EP. Now I can pvp with her and TBH, EP humans are just way nicer.

Don't want your npcs slaughtered and keep taken at night time? Best stay up and defend it.

Also, InB4 someone comes in to demand that Cyrodiil closes after 9pm EST cause they went to bed and cares less about our Aussie and Kiwi cousins on PC-NA servers whose prime time is your bed time.

Also, all three factions have plenty of PvP guilds who PvDoor during "late hours," not just one faction. Saturday DC flipped the map at 2am pst, Sunday was EP at 1:45am pst and Monday was AD at 1213am pst.

It seems kinda silly to me because one its a game, two there are may players that play multi faction. Not everyone is a Faction Loyalist. I've got many different faction characters. I got multiple dc and ad characters and I do have ep characters as well. However, if I do go into Cyrodiil its because I want to pvp/pve when I do pvp these days it seems to be Battlegrounds. Its actually been a while since I've actually pvped in Cyrodiil.

I do understand players have their faction pride. Like Fengrush I do sometimes watch his patch note videos. However that does not mean players should be barred for playing other sides once in a while. As for Spies not everyone that faction hops is a spy. I think many spies wouldn't be so obvious. Even if a spy goes to join a pvp guild of a rival faction they can go offline mode and likely not be detected.

So anyone with ambitions for doing so could spy and also go undetected for the most part if they played it smart. However sometimes those players could be spotted if they are killing their fellow players with their handle that is one way can't really hide that. So there is limitations to what they could do. A more dedicated spy would likely remain out of sight join the rival teams discords and then relay that information back to their handlers so they can intercept whatever is coming.

Warfare isn't pretty and like real life warfare Eso has its spies. Eso Cyodiil pvp will have that dynamic and for the most part likely get undetected. There will be times where Players will faction hoping to take a scroll so their main faction can get the scroll. There will be players that do this. But does not mean all players are willing to stoop that low just some of them. Its unfair game play sure and its more annoying and its also bad sportsmanship. But there will be times that will happen. Faction locks hinder it but it will not stop dedicated spies. Some might even two accounts for that purpose.

Don't worry, their guild was likely fail anyway. I honestly can't recall any of the guild names on PC NA because they usually are blobed up with most of faction attacking either an empty keep or "dominating" keeps with 3-4x the numbers.

I have rarely seen any of these organized groups do anything besides farm either noobs or players they know they can beat and then run when a real challenge appears. Oh, what's that, you want me to call it strategic retreat instead?

    No :D

There's little difference between any of the guilds on PC NA, regardless of faction, and that's why I don't bother remembering their names. Hm, now that I think about it, its quite the same on PC EU. What a coincidence...
