Nah, just let what will be happen
So what would happen to the installed addons, reshade presets etc? I hope I can keep them as it is without interfering with the udpate

If it goes like PTS one, no actions needed other than leave loader running. Settings, addons &cet should not be affected any different from previous updates.

(Myself felt having it on SSD for stable duty only was waste so took this as an opportunity to uninstall and explore other games for a while. I intend to reinstall and continue playing when performance fixes are successfully done.)

Tbh if it corrupts my save data then it will do me a favor so i have more motivation the break the eso addiction and stop playing.

imo the best way is to uninstall client, wait few days so everything settles down, then run fresh/clean install. Though i don't care about such perfectionism.

Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking. See how it goes.

Uninstall completely prior to the new download
I am probably going to uninstall and do a fresh install, hopefully that will fix my extremely small cursor that makes targeting very difficult in some fights. I will save the document files to keep my current settings.

Completely uninstalling the game might actually be a bad move to be honest since uninstalling doesn't truly remove everything. You might end up creating a situation where you end up with little bits of code here and there that have a chance of not getting caught in the new installation.

    This is so wrong 😔
And people actually agreeing to it🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

How many times have you "Uninstalled" something and then found things from that program still lying around on your computer? I've had it happen so many times the first thing I do after uninstalling a program is finding it in the file explorer and cleaning up the trash that was left behind. Uninstalling a program never truly removes everything and the last thing you want is wasted space on your hard drive.

I still remember uninstalling one game and it never uninstalled the anti-cheat that came with it. That was a pain in the butt to remove I might add. Of course the ESO patcher might not get everything, but I trust it more than uninstalling the game completely and then reinstalling it. I know for a fact the ESO uninstaller leaves things like the ESO folder in Documents and Steam has a habit of never getting rid of the old folder the game was stored on. This is just my experience though and might not be true for everyone.

Unless my uninstall failed it's more of a 'hide' option. It removed the launcher, desktop shortcut and start menu icon, and maybe a few other files but left over 80GB of stuff still in Program Files. I've manually deleted that and I'm running searches for anything else which mentions Zenimax or Elder Scrolls Online before I start reinstalling.

Although I was happy to see it had left the folder in Documents, because that has all my screenshots in and I'd be disappointed if I'd forgotten to back them up and they'd disappeared. Plus that's an easy thing to find and delete later if you don't want it.

It can't affect your save data because that's not on your PC, it's on Zenimax's servers. The only thing saved on your end is any addons you're using and your settings.
