Which game-time increase you hate the most?

1. Self explanatory. For example a boss, that has a LOT of health, and takes damn long to kill.
2. Same, but instead of one big many small.
3. Dialogues, books, letters. Everything related to story telling.
4. Time taking with nothing, but moving to a direction to reach your goal.
5. Easiest example is grinding jewelcrafting in ESO with dark anchors. You just go through Alik'r, and do the same, and see as your bag fills up, then deconstruct everything, and watch as your jewelcrafting increase. Inventory management also part of this. A repetitive process for a certain goal, but no RNG involved.
6. When you do the same dungeon for that one item over, and over again. You don't know which one is gona be your lucky one. It could be 2 tries, but it could be 2000.
7. Research in any crafting skills in ESO. You just have to wait to stuff get done. Loading screens also fell into this category.

I don't hate any of those things.

I don't grind though. I level my characters crafting skills by deconstructing stuff I find through normal gameplay.

Since you don't grind i assume that is the part you hate the most. Even though it is not required for most of the content.

But would you hate it, if you couldn't play any part of the game without a lot of grinding? Like if world content of next DLC would be that insanely hard, that without a perfect gear you would die against the first enemy you encounter. Even worse, that they would block behind a "solo phase" part where no other player can help you through, and that would be hard as hell too.

The load screens are in the passive waiting category. The type of time-increase when you literary don't have to do anything, but wait for stuff to get done.

      RNG
RNG. All the rest are, largely, known before you start. You might not know exactly how long it will take to beat a boss or get to your destination, but you can get some idea when you start doing it.

Whereas when you start trying for an RNG drop you might be able to find estimates of the odds from other players but that doesn't really tell you how long it will take to get it. That uncertainty makes it especially disheartening to even try. Every time you go through the dungeon or whatever and don't get the drop you were hoping for your only options are to start over from scratch with the same odds as before and hope you happen to get lucky, or give up on getting it.

Now that is a strange one, because i think, that you can do it by questing. Which involves story, passive waiting, traveling, and combat. Or you can simply grind it which is in the grinding category. Getting the exp for stuff is not up to RNG. (yet)

I guess that's in the non-rng grinding category. I mean it does not dependent on RNG, but you do the same stuff over, and over again.

      RNG
I am annoyed by grinding Psijic, Mages Guild is even okay compared to that.

But the biggest bummer is RNG.
I had to farm for so many Sets as PvE Healer plus I help my friends farm, sadly, as they do the same for me.

At the moment we've been trying to get Legs and Chest Pieces from a Dungeon Set. And - legit - we got 2 Flame & Healing Staves of another good Set from the same Dungeon before dropping anything of the searched Items in any other Trait than Invigorating/Training in 100+ Runs.

      RNG
I can tolerate some degrees of RNG, but ESO is in a whole other level of hell with its layers, upon layers, upon layers, upon layers, upon layers, upon layers, upon layers of RNG and wasted time between RNG attempts.

Loot cool-downs, weighted trait and weapon drops, magicka set pieces dropping on stamina weapons and stamina sets dropping on magicka weapons just bloating the tables for no reason... terrible 'rewards' for dailies and other activities with large cool-downs. Gamble crates...

      RNG
I chose rng, but I honestly don't mind to much. Maybe it's because I'm bro with rngjeezuz himself, but I still remember the first time I was going to farm the infamous inferno staff of bsw. It took me around 200 runs to get it, but at the same time I got in on my first run after starting up a new char on a new server.

I don't have a problem with those listed, if it's grinding or something else time consuming I just put on a movie or TV show on my laptop next to me.

Getting CP is not the problem. Getting cap is. Gets to a point I just want to be on even footing for PvP and that just takes too long.

      other. I hate most:
-remaining in combat at Cyro long after combat really ends. even death respawn in a keep at other side of map/base often not resetting it. sometimes happens i am teleported to this keep as dead on the ground and can't resp nowhere. must reset game by alt-F4, normal quitting does not work
-8-10 sec release time at IC after being killed by player. sometimes 2-3 sec only. or 4-6. why it is not constant? should be stable 3 sec

It's a wave re-spawn system. Reinforcement released at every X second. Depending on which part of the period you die you get different release time.

Passive waiting, but of a different sort -- Basically waiting to get what you want done.
Includes waiting for a group to form in Group Finder, or trying to form a group for a dungeon or boss in guild or zone chat, or trying to form a Story Run for a dungeon.
Would rather just go ahead and get it done SOLO.

The reason I don't grind isn't because I hate it, it's because I have no need to do so. The rest of your comment is irrelevant both to my playstyle and to ESO.

Other: the thing I hate most is leveling skills. I like trying different abilities and once I’ve unlocked the line it still takes just as long to level up skills.

If you leveled say 2H and want to try DW, it’s like grinding to 50 all over again just to get everything leveled.
