And if my husband pulled that while we were grouped, I’d dutch oven him daily for like a week. Maybe flush the toilet while he showered too, for good measure. ;)

Lmao XD I get treated like a monster for bringing it up....apparently I'm crazy and got my tickets....although I had 8 tickets prior to the event and still have 8 tickets. A sorry would even be nice, but I don't expect a sincere apology from "S". Doesn't like to be wrong and has a difficult time comprehending the group loot thing; always has and I don't expect it will change. I've put in a support ticket but haven't received a reply. I don't expect to see those tickets, I just know know to do them alone for the remainder of the event. "S" wouldn't get me tickets to make up for this, bc "S" has concluded that I got my tickets and am too stupid to have noticed...

You're, clearly, a very patient person.

"S" would be enjoying my full and (somewhat) unending wrath, if I were you, until he manned(?) up, admitted what he did and apologised.

I don't understand why anyone is grouping up to farm event tickets, is there something I am missing?

I simply went to Murkmire, used a wayshrine in a city close to a delve. Ran to the delve, only too maybe a min, ran through the delve ignoring everything until I got to the boss. There were about 5 people waiting for the boss to spawn, when it did we killed the boss and I got my three tickets plus the strongbox. Took all of about 5 min maybe. Of course I was fortunate that the boss spawned soon after I arrived, I have killed this boss before so it wouldn't spawn on my arrival. But even if I had to wait it would only be a few min.

I always farm the event tickets in this way, I have never had any issue or problem, not ever. I don't understand why anyone would do it any other way.

Honestly, I feel like I am missing something important doing it in the way I am, can anyone explain what I'm missing?

Not victim blaming, you have all the rights to be pissed, BUT (nothing after these kinds of "but" is good) they did warn you to be mindful of grouping. Not the first event this happens either. Not the second. Prooooobably not the last. There's a reason that warning is there, there's a reason you read it. Following that advice would be the best thing to do. As of tomorrow, go solo for tickets, group after, is the best advice I can give. I had NO trouble in any events so far but simply reading the rules for the event and following the tips. Should be that simple, but it's ZOS so it isn't, therefore follow their guidelines.

And it's just 3 tickets... Much worse is that you wasted 9h on something you probably lost on the first 5 minutes and we have no way of knowing. That's the stupidest design flaw.

ZOS was warned well in advance grouping would short people of tickets with the way they set it up. They chose to do it that way intentionally knowing people would lose tickets. It doesn’t matter how much ZOS “warns” people when they’re the ones making the hazards when there is zero reason to besides attempting to boost their own profits.

If they wanted to short us, they would give us two tickets, not three. That's the end of this conspiracy.

    Give me something reasonable, please.

Nah, they would make a major update launch in the middle of an event if they wanted to short us.

    .... oh wait....

No, a major update wouldnt be good enough. They would make us download and reinstall the entire game and you know they probably would throttle the download speed to 2 Mbps or something so they didnt have to buy more bandwidth temporarily

I had an issue with getting tickets from a dragon kill during the Dragonhold event - and after responding to the initial automated response email with a further detailed explanation, I was credited with the missing tickets.

Very happy to report it was quick & easy! Phew!

So, you are just getting your tickets and nothing much else.

I know people wont do this. But if ZOS insists on creating frustrating mechanics to their events hoping to push people to the Crown Store. The best thing we as players can do is avoid the events. Don't participate. Don't log in and don't go anywhere near the areas that are set up for the event if you do log.

The things they are looking at and gauging their success with these events is player activity, player participation and player purchases. So if players are frustrated with the events, the best way to force them to change it for the better is to not participate. They want you involved because theres likely a conversion rate they are aiming for. And if you're not involved they can't hope to convert your participation into a purchase. So no activity means no participation which means no purchase.

He was ahead of me and got his tickets on the first thing he killed but I was nowhere near. After running around Murkmire and killing bosses and anything I could find...no luck whatsoever.

I had no issue getting tickets, I ported into Murkmire and was running through the swamp and after killing a random gator, 3 tickets dropped. It was difficult getting items to drop with the two world bosses because there were so many players, bosses were only lasting 30 seconds before dropping, so I ran off and completed the delves and farmed resource nodes.

I personally believe the tickets are over hyped anyway and I'm not that interested in them. Only 3 drop at a time and they (ZOS) time the events in such a fashion that you can't get all the items that are for sale anyway, they're pushing the crown store (to buy tickets)

And I hate the fact that we cannot trade memento and pet parts. Feels like they just want us to buy tickets, very manipulative.

The parts aren't tradable? I know the ones purchased from the Impresario aren't, but I would have assumed that the ones that drop from the strongboxes would be.

They changed some memento's frags to "save" us inventory. Feathers I agree with change because they are bound but everything else should have stayed as it was. I got a bunch of spares I can't trade or give away to whom needs them...

People generally aren't grouping up to farm their tickets specifically.

They are grouping up to share daily quests and to kill world bosses (intended to be done with a group anyways). That's very common behavior in other zone events like Orsinium, Morrowind, Clockwork City, etc. During those events, players did group up to farm tickets because the tickets were tied to the completion of the dailies or specific boss kills.

Problem with Murkmire is, if they group up to do dailies and kill bosses before they got their tickets, they now risk losing their tickets to a group member kill.

ZOS' current design incentivizes players to NOT group until they've gotten their tickets...and after that point then players can safely do the other content with a group.

Just do a delve boss before you do anything else...

I did a delve boss, got the tickets first day, after server reset I did the same delve boss got my tickets again. If you are having an issue getting tickets, then just simply do a delve boss before you do anything else. Then do your daily quests or whatever else, but if you want a guarantee drop...

I understand what it seems is happening, if you miss looting the tickets on the enemy they drop on you are out of luck. What I don't understand is why anyone would want to do it in a way that risks their not getting tickets.

I hope all that have missed the tickets have better luck, just reading how many people missed them, makes me angry that ZoS would create this type of a situation in the first place.

Very few good MMOs launch in a year, well in fact few launch at all. But there are some that look pretty amazing that are coming up on launch dates. I have a feeling if ZoS doesn't get their you know what together, and start doing things in a way that doesn't cause so much animosity towards them that they are going to lose a lot of their player base. I think the new Amazon MMO is going to put a sizeable dent in the player population alone.

ZoS: When you monetize too much of the game, when the game mechanics are negatively affected because of the intent to monetize, when you code things that are upsetting or frustrating on purpose in order to monetize, people get angry. Even when it's a game mechanic that might not be because of over monetization people will feel and think it is. That means you have to do an extra good job, and excellent job, a job that up and until now you have utterly failed at to make sure the game mechanics operate in such a way that they are not upsetting, or frustrating. Who wants to feel all these bad things in the free time they spend on entertainment like games, nobody does. You have to step up to the plate, treat your customers like customers and not cash cows. And if the event ticket mechanics are this way because you are trying to push people into buying more tickets, then you need to change it. It's obviously setting the player base against ZoS and the developers, the next step would be to abandon ESO, flee the issues and problems associated with over monetization, and start a new MMO.

People are going to eventually leave for whatever reasons, if you want to keep them around longer rather than shorter time, then get your act together and straighten out the blatant attempts to reach into our pockets. We will leave, in numbers you cannot imagine unless you stop behaving like greedy children seeking candy in parents pockets.

Hello, (S) here. Yes, I'm Krayphysh's spouse, and yes, I did run ahead of the group to complete the delve quest. However, I did not kill the delve boss nor got my tickets from any boss that day. Our friend that was in the group ran even further ahead of the group than I did, so much so he completed the quest just as Krayphysh and I entered the delve. Each time I grabbed an item for the quest, it gave credit to Kray, except that last arrow. Krayphysh was nowhere around me the whole entire time, instead, following our friend around (who was already done with the quest and leaving the delve.) So I thought I'd be nice and do all the hard work and complete the quest for us. When I realized I bugged the quest and krayphysh could not finish it, i apologized several times, obviously that wasn't good enough. Krayphysh literally reminded me ever 5-10 minutes that I'm the reason he didn't get his tickets, I apologized each time he brought it up. After about the 50th time (no lie) of him constantly reminding me, I did get a little fed up, but never "monsterized" him as he said. I simply told him I said I was sorry hundreds of time and went to bed.

I honestly did not know that it would bug the quest for Krayphysh, I was just trying to catch up with our friend in the group. If I had known it would bug out, I obviously would not have done it. My feelings are little hurt for him to call me out like this on the ESO forums and make everyone think I'm a bad spouse, especially after all my 10,000 apologies. Obviously I'm doing enough and I'm not sure at this point what I can do to fix it. Krayphysh doesn't have a job, never has since we've been together 8 years now, but I do have a job. We share the same bank account. If it's that important to you, please buy yourself as many tickets as you'd like. But don't come on here and tell everyone how bad of a spouse I am when I'd do anything in the world for you. I'm disappointed seeing comments of strangers saying "maybe you need a new husband", "he should man up" and "Dutch oven him for a week" and you not saying anything against any of that. I'd never let anyone say something like that about you.

And for everyone else on this forum who thinks I'm a bad spouse, I'm using this time now to publicly apologize once again for bugging out the delve quest. I did not know that would happen. I didn't know how the ticket drops even worked - I thought you got them when you turned in the quest. We each killed mobs while making out way to the delve, I just happened to loot the mob with the tickets and overlooked that I received them or else I would have told krayphysh immediately to loot the mobs. I'm still trying to figure out how our friend managed to finish the delve quest first and it not bug out on me as it did Kray. Krayphysh is more than welcomed to use money in the bank to buy as many tickets as he wants.

My procedure is to take a Daily quest for world boss kill, kill the boss and it always dropped the Box and tickets on the first kill.
I'm not grouping. I don't see any purpose of grouping for this event.
And yes, even if not in group, and boss did not drop tickets, just be careful not to miss looting on anything you killed.
I really cannot say that I had any issues with tickets from the start of the event.

I was in a group with my spouse (S) and friend (F) the moment the event started. We were doing the delve quest called "The Weight of Words." "S" has a bad habbit of running ahead as if the rest of the group doesn't exist. S got 3 tickets and a stronghold box after killing the delve boss (way ahead of the rest of the group). This also caused my quest to bug out and I couldn't get the tablet of the destroyer. "F" and I got no tickets at all, and the only way I'd be able to complete that quest was by abandoning it and picking it up again. I eventually repeated that quest successfully, starting over alone, and got no tickets. I looted everything! I spent 9 hours killing everything in Murkmire that I could find. Just a moment ago I read this comment:

"Be careful of grouping, though, because if you miss looting even one mob that someone in your group has killed, that might have been your tickets for the day."

Can anyone officially verify this? Is it now impossible for me to get my tickets today? I knew better than to group up with "S", as "S" frequently causes questing issues because of running ahead...However, I didn't expect it would cause me to loose my tickets for the day. I wouldn't have spent 9 hours trying to get them had I known this. Hoping I still have a chance of acquiring them. I invested too much time not to have received my tickets.

How can I put this delicately?

It sounds like it's time to find a new spouse.

Or at least stop grouping with them.

Okay, sentence 2 was tongue-in-cheek, although their behavior does seem inconsiderate.

But sentence 3 was more or less sincere.

Yes. Basically. I put in a ticket but support said "it's random". Meanwhile EVERY OTHER PERSOn I've talked to that has done anything in Murkmire today got their tickets within a few mobs, EXCEPT for the people who were grouped, who have gotten zero. If this is working as intended than this was not intended to be an enjoyable event.

I'm always getting drops on first try, by killing a world boss(not even daily quest, just show up and kill) Never grouped. Doesn't even feel RNG to me. Just don't group until you get tickets. That's almost literally asking for trouble.
