Game redownload - for those of us with multiple machines

So I get and accept we have to download the game all over again. But it looks like it's through the patcher. I play on multiple machines (a Windows desktop, a Windows Laptop, and an iMac). Clearly the Windows and Mac clients both have to be downloaded separately, but is there a way I don't have to download the game for Windows multiple times? Is there a standalone installer I could get instead that I could download once and use to upgrade both Windows machines? I'm sure there are others who have even more machines than I do. Families who play together and so on. Can't even imagine having to do it at an Internet Cafe...

In any case, with everybody downloading the game and unable to play until they get in, I figure the servers will be hammered and I'd rather not have to download 3 times, making it that much worse. Is there any way to install on multiple machines with a single download?

Can you download onto one machine, then copy the game folder to a USB stick and copy it from there onto any other compatible machines?

I certainly hope so but that's what I am trying to find out. For instance if there are environment variables or registry variables set up, that might not be sufficient. I'm hoping to find a good recommendation for how to do this.

Download to one machine, then copy that to others using a USB.

Follow the same techniques as moving the game to a new machine. For ones with existing installs, you may just have to repair after replacing. If not, then uninstalling from other machine and following the technique for moving the game will work.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I didn't know there was a procedure for copying from one machine to another. Can you point me to that? Thank you in advance!

You may need to run the ESO Launcher as Admin and run a repair, after using any of the methods mention, but for the most part that will be a very very small download.

    Download the launcher.

Start the install (to create the folders)

    Stop the install

Copy the files over from your USB stick to the appropriate folders.

Run the repair on the launcher.

    Play the game.

    That's the procedure I use.

I've never had to do anything weird like starting the install when using a stick from my friend. Just rename the current install folder, then copy the one from the USB stick, start the game to make sure it's working, then delete the old game folder.

I always copy the files to the usb stick and copy it to other PC or laptops. I also never run any install. Run the launcher. Close the launcher. Copy your addons to the live folder, Run the eso64.exe. Done.
I had never any problem with that. ;)
