ESO Needs Better Motif.

I join those who, as a mage, hate crotch flaps, butt flaps, hip flaps and shoulder flappers. Despite all the new motifs, there is almost no relief for mages.

More flapperless chests for mages and the ability to hide any armor pieces would help a lot. Absent the ability to hide armor slots, at least make some designs that are extremely unobtrusive. Like shoulders that are simple, slender armbands. And bracelet hands pieces that don't clip with long sleeves like the ones we have now do.

While I am not against flaps. Long as they work with the design(s). Too many flaps for just having flaps is bad design, but as well there are some awesome flaps, but one would have to work with it with similar styles to get what they want. But yes, no more flaps for the sake of flaps.

Like this for example, my Argonian Stamcro - works well with in the theme I am going for.
Note: @madeeh91rwb17_ESO be warned. It has a skirt in it, might want to avert your eyes.

    look at this, <3

    ⬆️Thats pretty awesome.

Skyrim had a lot of really cool gear,
The general tullius armor was the best ive ever seen in the TES universe, dawn gaurd armor was dope, and so was the leather armors they had in game. ESO has some great ones to in my opinion. The best would have been the order of the hour motif but they kinda ruined that with the legs for medium and heavy. looks a skirt because its to long, and for light its pants instead of a proper tunic. and the heavy helm plume isnt very aesthetic. Also dont know why almost every light armor head piece is a hood of some sort.

AN ACTUAL STALHRIM MOTIF WOULD SURE BE NICE SINCE WE'RE GETTING SKYRIM!

The one we have now has nice weapons but the armor is like WHAT 🤮

If you look at any armor from any specific time period in any specific region of the world, for that region it more or less is the same and there is not that much difference between regions.

What it seems you are asking here is for ZoS to step out of that mentality to provide a wide range of different armor sets, and while that might sound appealing it also would affect the overall feel of the game.

I see people who take different armor pieces to create all kinds of different things, I just saw a character that looks like she walked right out of a marching band. I saw another male character not long ago that I swear looked like he had a Michael J outfit on. It's obvious to me with a little bit of creativity, you can create all kinds of different looks.

Personally, I think the issue isn't with ESO but with the OP. A suggestion, next time you run across someone with a unique look, tell them you like it (everyone likes compliments) and ask them how they did it. Or follow the forum posts on fashion. But personally, in my humble opinion, I like that ZoS is keeping to a specific theme. It just feels right to me.
