Divine gold is the only gold colour that I stumbled across which has a gold colour.

Also, it pairs very nice with Legate black when you dye only the edges with the golden colour.

You forgot to mention Akatosh Scales Gold, a rare color which you get by doing speed runs. It has a greenish tint on some materials.

My favourite depends on the material. Antique Silver works best with most materials, while Divine Gold is great on shiny/bright materials.

However I am quite fond of Transliminal Violet, because I got it early when I had litte CP, before all the other cool gold dyes, and I had to sneak all the way to the center of the Imperial Sewers.

Akatosh's Scales Gold looks pretty cool on certain pieces, sometimes it can look a bit greenish though.

I have couple of gold dyes and it depends on what I am trying to paint / dye. It differs, depending on motif / material. So I don't have any "favorite" one. The final effect is what matters.

So I finally got back in. The character that wears gold is in divine gold except one channel on the legs. Divine gold was far too orange and I ended up going with mammoth fur brown for that channel.

Dominion Yellow (AD Quest Achievements)

The only thing the Dominion did right.

I see it's not too popular and I can understand why, but sometimes that's the colour you need. I can't see another shade of yellow on Heal Khogan's attire.

Blood Gold paired with Julianos White is my go to gold dye. I love the pale pink shimmer:

Both of these armor skins I used gold in. The one pic I have two my two favorite golds. The brightest golds I have are Divine Gold and Blood Gold. Divine is from becoming Legendary Jewel-Crafter and Blood Gold is from Queen-maker achievement. I have a few other golds. Six more for various achievements.

That depends on what I'm dyeing and what look I'm going for. Always using the same one sounds a bit boring.

Also, I think it's weird Transliminal Violet and Antique Silver is on this poll. They are not gold. One is a type of silver and the other is more of a purple with golden shine. Could have added one or more of the missing dyes that are actually gold, like Ayleid Gold.

For an antique gold look that is not too shiny I like using Hundings Gold.

Divine Gold is often too bright to my taste, but sometimes it works well.

Ayleid Gold is nice if you want a nice rich and shiny antique gold.

Dominion Yellow gives a nice classic gold albeit not as shiny as some. Still nice to me though.

For a lighter gold I often end up using Starlight Gold or Master Gold.

Starlight gold. Though this outfit doesn't show it that great.

And the new Blood Gold was surprisingly a rather lovely rose gold.

That is completely wrong, brittle comes from a material being very hard, gold is the polar opposite, it's a quite soft metal, so it's very malleable the most malleable actually, it's really difficult to break it like a brittle material.

Transliminal violet can be a very good gold color but you have to be careful where you use it, it goes especially well on metals.

I think this is about as good as it gets for translimilal, also for some reason i cannot directly post the image so.

yeah, transliminal, when it comes out with its gold tone, is a perfect gold to me. But when any of its violet tones come out with the gold, it looks too MUCH. The blood gold's gold tone is also quite a perfect gold to me, but when its pinkness comes out on some materials, it's a lot less jarring than the violet of transliminal.

Using transliminal on all the same pieces, the violet comes out like crazy. I used transliminal on this costume for years until bloodgold came out with Elsweyr


Unrelated, this character's outfit uses a bunch of different golds (bloodgold, colossus brass, and divine), really varies by material. I use the colossus brass on the Order chestpiece, since I feel like none of the other golds come out well on it
