Take the latest addition to my stable of alts, a Breton Necromancer.
The Golden Saint outfit with a Dremora motif staff, dyed in Doomcrag Verdigris, Vine Green and Blood Gold. The bright gold here draws attention and highlights both the green of the outfit and the red of her hair. And it's shiny. Which it is meant to be.2 -

It showed up on Gold rarity drops in Craglorn back before the dye system was implemented. Bloodroot wine is similar, but it was a clean gold a reddish orange iridescence. I think about it occasionally, it was a really nice shade, and it's a shame it never made it over into the dye system.0 -

First and only time I've used any golden dye in armors, and it simply just is Deconstruction rank 4 achievement dye. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's darker and more "golden yellow" than others that I have unlocked atm because I'm a very casual pleb who doesn't have any of those cool achievement dyes listed here.1 -

Most of the time the above works nicely other times I use a mixture of Colossus Brass, Dominion Yellow, Antique Brass and on a very rare use Hlaalu Gold/Starlight Gold.

You can get Hundings pretty easily, and it's a good deep one.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis1 -

Matt is nice, in general, but matt yellow looks wrong on metal parts.

Blood Gold goes a great matt light pink on Fang Lair, which is especially useful if you don't have access to Slaughterfish Flesh Pink.
It goes plain matt pink on leather, and shimmery matt pink/gold on fabric:
Blood Gold and Ayleid Gold on Fang Lair (medium) chest and Pyandonean (light) shoulders, Blood Gold on Fang Lair (light) legs, Novice Tan on Redguard (light) Gloves 1, Bandit Brown, Starlight gold and Blood Gold on Glenmoril Wyrd Shoes (bow, as before).
