Death Hound Mount shouldn't be a thing

But did you see them standing around Whiterun with people on their backs?
Nope, but due to their size, and also since this is a fantasy game, I see no issues in one taming them and using as a mount.
As long as they are lore friendly, and lets be honest, those are more lore friendly mounts in comparison what we could see in Casino Crates so far.
Also they are vampire creatures, and since, I don't know, 70% of players are vamps already, they are even less of an issue.
Sorcerers Daedric spawns are not attack by guards, why should be tamed decaying vampire puppy mount

lol exactly. IMO it's ridiculous, but it's what brings money: cosmetics. I truly wished that this game was more immersive, more mature or "realistic", but I conformed myself long ago. LotRO was the only MMO I played that had all of that.a.k.a. Leo

If summoning a skeleton makes a guard go all poo-faced, they should just as poo-faced at the sight of someone sitting on an undead horse or hound.7 -

I think its because your not doing it in the privacy of your own home. Obviously using people for your necromantic arts might actually be far worse to many of the citizens then having a mount that looks like it came from an exotic merchant. But if npcs were like players and had actual intelligence and life to them. I think they might look down on a lot of the mounts. I do wish they could make the bounty system on a zone by zone basis or based on the alliance that controls the area instead of every Guard in Tamriel knowing about it.Edited by Thevampirenight on January 23, 2020 4:54AMPC NA

I agree that many of ESO's mounts of gaudy and totally outside of the Elder Scroll's aesthetic.
I do my best to tune them out when I see them. Especially the tragically obvious "players" sitting on mounts which are currently on sale in the crown store or crate for a limited time only, in crowded spots. They don't look at all like viral advertising!
But my point stands.
Like the necromancer player abilities which are obviously necromantic, this mount and the zombie horse are obviously necromantic.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭my whole issue with all of this is...i know they need to make money and i guess flashy (or fleshy - pun intended) sells... but the more of these non lore friendly crazy mmo types of mounts and outfits and the such are added the more and more the game becomes less and less an elder scrolls game...and thats just sad3 -

What about the zombie horse, the plague horse or the skeleton mounts? All of them would have the entire town losing its mind and guards chasing you down.

I'm so tired of people with weak stomachs trying to sanitize this game. I honestly think a big reason why Necromancer is so "BOO HALLOWEEEN" instead of what it should have been is because of people like this. There are TONS of MMOs out there which don't have things like this. I want MORE decay, rot, and gore.
It would be like going playing FFXIV and saying you don't like some of the Asian style mounts. Just stop.3 -

Also, as much as I don't like the concept of Casino Crates, fortunately they are too expensive for most of the people to waste money on, so fortunately those ridiculous stuff is not so often to be seen around.
If I'm not mistaken, around $900 with the blessing of RNG God is needed to collect all from active crate edition.2 -
