I with you on NB being able to play the way you intent.

NB has fantastic synergy with a Heavy Armor brawler (high sustain if continuing to attack rather than touch n go, major evasion, other mitigation, free resists). Problem is that's not really what most players that select "nightblade" sign up for, and yep it doesn't make sense. But I can't fathom NB as the squishiest class; a good argument could be made for the opposite. That's where I get lost post 2019 changes (2018 sure).

I posted bc I saw this:
"Other classes have defensive & healing capabilities NBs can only dream of......[NB] for the squishiest class"
What I was saying there is that other classes can have their cake and eat it too by being tanky AF w/ great heals and doing insane damage, while magblades have to choose one or the other — and even if they spec into an all damage glass-cannon build, it often isn't enough to out-damage everyone else's healing.

NBs have to make real compromises, which is the way it should be in my opinion. A glass cannon should be super fragile, a tank should hit like a wet noodle, and a healer should have to actually spec into healing to be effective. The problem is that NBs are the only class that has to make those compromises, while you have Wardens, DKs, Templars, & Sorcs running around doing all 3 extremely well. So either NBs are severely underpowered, or everything else is overpowered — either way, NBs are vastly underperforming relative to other classes.

Thank you Zos for toning down the nerfs. After a year of waffling, ignoring the player base and knee jerk reactions, it's refreshing to finally see a patch that doesn't cause everyone to relearn their classes. Thank you again, and keep it up! You just might get back a few of those players that mass exited last year.
