Snipe needs to be reworked or removed.

They are everywhere, yes. But do they actually do anything but kill those already in combat, having like 10% health left? No. If they actually manage to 100-0% someone, it's because of the health desync bug, or because the target is a really bad player.

I used to have a bow/bow NB "snipe build", and killing good players with it was kind of difficult already quite a while ago. It was FUN, yes. To go real "sniper style". Go outside Sejanus or whatever, and attack a small scale siege. Do the classic "kill one, then wait for someone to try and resurrect and kill them too" style of sniping, but it's hardly possible anymore, and I retired that NB. Only thing you can kill now, are bad players or people already more dead than alive.

And yes/no, it may have always been a "n00b" playstyle, but I enjoyed tuning everything to perfection, stacking as many buffs/debuffs as possible to get clean kills. But as with so many other type of builds/playstyles, they are but memories now...

It's a good story, but I did not say anything specific about Snipe. I don't care that archers are everywhere in No-CP. They perhaps justify this those that account for constantly to see about 6-7 sorcs in combat from 12 people. It's becoming more predictable.

No-CP is the least played in PvP, it makes zero sense to tune for no CP until the CP rehaul.

It's just not statistically significant.

I would just say that the skills that cause De Sync, should be fixed, or of course the server fixed. I generally don't die much in CP PvP when on my mains, but when I die in one second, I always know that there will be 1 of 3 skills on my death recap.

Now, if you are out there in CP PVP land, you might notice that there are a lot of odd classes using bow this past month or two, some of them well known players. Maybe it is just the time slot that I play on PC/NA.

this pvp in this game is fun when i already have 4 enemy in my face and i died because of 2 ppl with nerd full damage snipe spam that i dont even know their existance and posisition even after im dead

Snipe is literally the dumbest "skill" of any game anywhere on the planet. It's a curse for people trying to enjoy this game and a tool for trolls and cowards to take that enjoyment from others.

Or maybe the skill gap is so ridiculously high that it's the only way some can participate in PvP.

Edit to add: this isn't some justification of snipe. It's just a fact. If players only want "skillful" opponents, you need to realize how empty Cyrodiil would be, and how that above anything else would kill solo play. Cyrodiil would just become a zone of duels...1vX would be dead. No ones X'ing a group of skillful players.
Y'all who complain about a lack of skillful play really need to think things over before you post complaining about other players lack of skill.

I mean, we can say the same about how buggy and broken Invigorating Drain is right now, yet people seem to want to defend that "skill" for some reason.

And both snipe and drain have the same issue. You fix the wonkiness of them (desync from snipe and unable to break free from drain) we can all say if you are dying to these skills, it's in fact you that are the scrub. What makes these skills so abused are the broken mechanics in them, not the skills themselves.

I like killing snipers. The panic as you suppress thier cloke and they run away not knowing what to do....delicious.
Why take that away from me?

no, that is false.
you could say that same thing about ALL the skills in the whole game.
snipe belongs to archers and bow skill line just exactly like it does in all the mmo's on internet.

you also could say that same thing about seige and also about ANY long range damage thats from a distance.
the same thing goes for ALL ranged weapon types and ranged gameplay and ranged players.
they kill from a distance.

"All's fair in love and war." Skills and the tactics employed are merely a weapon system. Used well as part of a coordinated machine they are effective and serve a purpose. It saddens me when anyone calls for the Nerf and removal of anyone's play style. I applaud anyone who bests another in battle. Like any military the right weapon system at the right place with the right support can turn the tide of battle. Artillery will decimate the best infantry unit but without support and left unprotected it can be overwhelmed. A holistic combat force involves a synergistic approach of using the strengths of the various classes and their skills. Be it the hated sniper or the mighty battle tank.

It is a game, not war. And bugs - as well as exploiting those - are not ok in a game.

Instead of nerfing it they should have just added a touch more cast time so it that it couldn't be spammed one after another. Instead they made it more spammable which did nothing except maybe exacerbate the issue . It used to hit hard not so much anymore had zos made it a good niche skill as an opener from stealth or for keep defense on walls by making the cast time longer it would've been perfect. As it is it's to spammable leading to the dreaded desync but what do I know I only spammed it for 3 years on my stamblade
