If they nerf shimmering there’ll be an explosion of bowtards. Does anyone want that?

I think tweaks to the game would be better. Make melee magblades decent and give them decent non-projectile attacks. Should be good enough.

I love it when one of those pesky NB archers shoots at me, I fill Northern Storm really fast and kick their ass :)

the strong group classes are warden, necro, templar

the strong solo classes are nightblade, sorc, dk

    this is the reality.

sorcs are brought into groups for 1 ability - negate
    nightblades for 1 skillset - bombing (stamina nb's sorry - you're sol)
dk's can bring minor brutality and magdk's offer some good synergy cc control with talons but warden/necro/templar reign supreme

Stam Wardens are in a good place tbh, magdens however are a pain to deal with in both cp and non-cp. Stam wardens excel in groups with their aoe’s but have the most telling burst combo in the game, chances are if your eating his full burst rotation you either were gong to die anyway or l2p.
Stam dks and stam sorcs are by far stronger in non cp, hell I can run my open world cp build and still wreck on non cp with the dk. For the record I don’t play stamden only fight them so I don’t mind them being nerfed, just don’t see a point in it.

    Seriously guys.
You can't step into a BG, let alone a high MMR BG without running into 6 of them in a single 4v4v4...

Shimmering is the most OP skill in the game & has been for some time. My particular gripe is with Stamina Wardens, but mostly with shimmering. It takes almost 50% of the class archetypes out of the game; with regards to winning against them. The minor heroism allows them to slot bloodspawn & throw dawnbreakers about as often as my spammable connects, all the while taking little if any damage & having good heals & sustain to boot.

Classes need to be either difficult or easy. Builds should be one if not the primary method for determining if a class is easy or difficult to play. Warden is one of those classes that stand out with no matter how bad the player is, put them on a Warden & they will shine. Sure I can re-roll & ride the meta wave, but I would rather stop playing altogether. Please fix this game. Either make everyone a face roll class, or none. We want things to be "skill based", but as long as Warden has shimmering it's not going to be.

Oh & also add the ability to see what class someone is in the BG rankings just like how you can in the Cyrodiil rankings.

I haven't had any issues with Wardens. They are good. But I wouldn't describe them as OP currently.

With the recent balance changes I believe most classes are in reasonable spots right now. The only unreasonable imbalance I've detected so far is Dragon Knights vs Vampires. There, the damage bursts is a little ridiculous. But that's just with me. It's possible your class is especially weak to wardens.

This game seems to favor a paper/rock/scissors approach to PvP where certain classes or builds are just dominated by others. I don't care for it either - as I believe all classes should have a fighting chance against the other.

Shimmering is the "Most OP Thing in the Game"? Wait, I though matriarch heal is the "Most OP Thing in the Game"? Or was it Onlsaught, or maybe DK Leap, or Boneyard Synergy, or Sorcs, or Templars, or tanks, or heals.

Sheesh. There are so many conflicting threads, what it really means is that players are gaming the forums to get unfair advantage through nerfs.

Maybe we finally have a state of balance? I noticed the same thing, every class is being complained about so maybe, just maybe it now comes down to L2P?

Dragonknights kill vampires... and that's a mantra in every TES games since Morrowind: fire kill Vampires.

So do you want to break lore?

Now, let's analyze 5 years of history in which mDKs have ALWAYS killed vampires. Even more, when stamDKs skills were fire based, there were even Vampire Hunter builds combined with old Fighter's Guild skills (Do you remember old silver shards? What about old Camo Hunter?)

Do you really think being a vampire, which not only gives you extra protection against the majority of specs, extra resource recovery and some cool skills shouldn't have any drawback? In fact, don't you said you didn't have a problem with warden's? You know why?

What's even more amazing, Nord Vampire is the bane of any ice magden in this game. There's no way the magden will ever win that fight. Should then nerf Vampire and Nord? I don't think so...
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

I better not engage on this topic as I don't want to derail this person's thread. I was just using that as an example of where I have actually seen OPness happening - because Dragon Knights are currently way overpowered against Vampires. But that is the only case of just rank OPness I've encountered since the recent balance changes. Other classes are still capable of some impressive burst damage. But I haven't seen any that's just impossible to defend against yet, which is the level it would have to rise to before I would consider it "OP"

Whether or not it aligns with ESO lore is beside the point.

IMO it's all about shimmering shield morph. Projectile absorption itself you can soft counter with ranged heavy attack, which means you'll restore more resources then warden used for shield. But fact that you will grant bloodspawn proc level of ultimate in process is simply stupid.
We have only few sources of major heroism in the game and other 2 are much harder to proc, basically in no-CP there is no other way to proc it. Attach Major heroism to Wings and BoL and Eclipse and Cloak and Blastbones then lol :D

warden without shimmering shield against magnb or magsorc it's 100% dead warden.
also it helps with snipe spammers.
in any other situations shimmering shield is ABSOLUTELY useless.

btw. magnb and magsorc also have great skills that not leave chances for stam warden to kill them - shadow image and shadowy disguise, and streak-streak-streak.

yes, i understand, TS want to be able kill everyone, and in if something going wrong just tp to shadow image and try again.
