Once Again; BRP Resto and DW both need to be nerfed.

Like title says. They both make it possible for players of severely inferior skill level to survive MUCH longer then they are supposed to. Major Vitality uptime cannot be that consistent from any other source in the game, and the same goes with Major Protection especially with the (rightful) Pirate and Steadfast nerfs.

It honestly baffles me how these two obviously over-performing weapons have still been untouched. Every good player understands they are over-performing and you can do perfectly fine without them, but with them you become virtually unkillable. Furthermore, with the buffs to healing, Lokestiiz HM has become much easier to heal, to the point where BRP resto is absolutely not needed anymore to successfully heal cages. There is no legitimate reason for these to not get nerfed ZOS.

    We are talking about 3 seconds of buffs, which comes at a 5 set cost on the respective bar and ut costs over 3k resources to cast. Better just get good instead of complaining on forums.

    Meh, I think the Brp resto is fine individually but it works like a very strong healing buff when used in groups. Then again, group healing in general is a bit too much imo so I don't know how much of that is a problem with the brp resto itself.

    As for brp dw, idk I've heard it's pretty strong but I haven't had trouble killing anyone in particular who was spamming quick cloak but maybe I'm just lucky.

    brp DW is already bad enough with a 5k blade cloak cost

    but im not going to say anything about a certain class that can stack major + minor protection with major resolve and ward and minor beserk all in the same bar with ease

    What? I thought DW had been nerfed to near uselessness already. I don’t even have any DW abilities currently slotted on my Bow/DW stamblade. I’ve not measured the damage myself, but Alcast’s stamblade build no longer includes any DW abilities either. :/

    What? Major vitality from pots is a lot more powerful and lasts longer.

    If they hadn’t nerfed healing ward on PTS you would have had a good point.

    Nerf anything that's in any way useful because that's smarter than rethinking completely useless things and making them also good! Anything that's not terrible is imbalanced and needs to go! Make all gear worthless!

    BRP Restro requires a skill slot, a 2 handed weapon slot, & 12 skill points for 3 seconds of a buff. That's the nerf. Not to mention the nerf that recently happened to the actual skill that procs it.

    Sorcs have 1 skill that gives 6 seconds. Potions give it for 14 seconds.

    If you're complaining about a 3 second Major Vitality buff, you need to go back to the drawing board and come up with a way to counter it, outside of asking devs to change game mechanics for you.

    Please elaborate more on how long are those "severely inferior" players allowed to survive? Is there an exact second amount when a ballgroup runs over cute puglings, are they allowed to live 2 seconds, maybe 5?

    Was doing No-CP pvp just now, people are imploding in seconds left and right - yes also with the special weapons you mentioned. The special effect when they trigger is easy to see/hear always.

    Or are you trying to balance the game based on 1vs1 duel vacuum where special weapon back bar can make fights last long? If so.. you should know, nerfing those makes people just go to other ways of being tanky. No one likes to die in 1 second because of bad performance and delay on skills working.

    And i`d say they will adjust (nerf) BRP weapons when the next Arena/Trial special weapons come, so there are new slot candy for people to make nerf posts about. :joy:

    The people defending these 2 weapons saying they're a "sacrifice" and aren't overperforming have never been in a high mmr bg where these two weapons carries players and sometimes entire teams.

    These two weapons need to be yeeted to oblivion. They should offer something unique like the vMA restoration staff does, not giving access to two of the most powerful defensive buffs in the game on demand.

    This complaint regarding combat and character mechanics would be well placed in the Combat & Character Mechanics forum. That way we can cut down on the constant griping about various skills and gear and just leave the constant griping about the rest of the game for the General ESO forum.

    So a game mode, within a game where a player’s “power” revolves around equipped gear items, is won by a team of players with the best equipped gear items.

    Expected responses.

    The fact of the matter is both weapons are carries. Taking up a set piece matters not when you build correctly around the weapons. Both weapons consistently allow bad players to have extended survivability beyond what they themselves are actually capable of.

    Obviously these weapons bring survivability, especially on premades with coordination. I´ve healed with BRP resto a lot so i know.

    But, i also know one thing, when things like these all get erased into oblivion - people will be asking more damage skills nerfed because "we die in a second!" or they start to use 2 tanking sets.. then we soon have damage skills nerfed, people running in even more tanky gear..

    It would take too much time to explain it all in any other way than this: The situation we are in now is the exact result of following the nerf requests from all the wrong people. And this would just continue that tradition.

    And as said, they will nerf these when new shiny things come. Meh, i`ll go back to playing - too many nerf threads today - it gets tiresome. :D
