If you like the new content, you are still experiencing the old content for the first time, or you are having fun with your friends, yes.

If the new and old content no longer appeals, your friends have moved on, amd the only thing pulling you back in game is the loot you get from event rewards...probably not.

I played in both betas, PC launch and then for 3 years straight on XBox. It’s in fine shape and still better than pretty much every console game. I just came back yesterday and it was in fine shape population wise with a few handy tools added since I last played over the summer.

There will always be some issues but that’s every game. Overall it’s in pretty good shape ... assuming you’re on XBox NA. I cannot speak of any other server. If you want a console MMO its by far the best choice.

    Nope, as a main game.
Yes, as an alt game without subs.

    Yes it does.
Compared what's on the market today and what is announced for 2020, (although they have some issues with Finder and loading stuff, but that will eventually subside), that stuff compared to ESO is mostly crap. WoW classic? No thank you.
I do believe that this is the top tier what industry can offer in MMORPG right now.

I'm not even looking in a direction of those Korean under aged looking girls with bunny ears hopping around pedobear generic grind fest stuff.

In my noob humble opinion, ESO is a great game at least from PVE perspective. I do believe that the current issues will be solved in near future.
Quests are good, fully voiced, in most cases well written, with good variety from funny to dark themed. Game is graphically good looking. Overall, I would say it is. I'm not seeing any issues why the game should not be worth playing in 2020.

It's a great game and the new stories are good.

My big issues I am finding at the moment is nothing is "new" sure there is new stories, dungeons and trials which are fun, but they're just more of the same old.

I recently picked up an mobile version of what was my first entry into MMO gaming as something to play when I get free time at work and there are so many things I can do in it which ESO doesn't have.

Absolutely. I'm really curious to see how they plan on changing our champion system in 2020.

It used to be. For me, it will be 3 option no subs. Bad performance and ZOS's endless class changes killed my interest. Coming from the perspective of a PCNA pvp player.

NO, cause right now its 8 day in a row with techical server EU problems and Zos didn`t solve it yet. That means that they don`t give a f about players at all

People are more concerned with the popularity and politic of a game more than the game itself these days....which is a whole new level of idiocy.

Frankly, you need to be a fan of the ES franchise. A graphics overhaul, particularly to the older content, would help a great deal but it's unlikely.

Yeah I dream of Zenimax throwing in the towel of the problematic home brewed engine and switching over to Unreal 4, so we can have actual cloth effects and a network code that isn't so bloated and intermittent.

But it's like dreaming of winning powerball, nice dream but not realistic.

Im taking a break but most likely done. Not bcz of combat choices but bcz

    Theres never enough new content
    The old content is buggy
The pvp is bland and gets small changes every couple of years
The new content that the developers spend the most time on (a new zone) is the stuff the players care the least about
Grouping up and playing has become more and more daunting
I end up spending more time picking flowers than i do actually playing the game bcz activity finder is not soo hot these days
The game no longer draws interest from the gaming community as a whole
fundamental design issues that ive hated from day 1 (class system, pvp, fighting mechanics, zones, reason for housing, etc..) will never get adjusted

It had a good run but im soo ready skyrim 2

I mean, show me an MMO that has AS MUCH, if not more, build diversity as ESO and has action based combat.

Yes. It has its flaws but still good. Though the lag and inability to do what I want because certain broken systems have pushed me to spend time with other games a bit more in the last week.

    This.

After this past year+ my game allowance has been going towards RDO.

Killing mmo time w/eso til the new LOTRO mmorpg, hopefully will be great.

Funny thing, I would probably need 3 lifetimes to actually see and enjoy EVERYTHING ESO has to offer. I'm so slow on questing, Cyrodiil/IC/BGs are taking too much of my game time. I have so much to see yet, from EP line to finish the Chapters and dlcs... slacking so much. :(

This game offers so much content that I'm not moving from ESO anytime soon, if ever. ;)

content yes, art work, stories, writing, characters, areas - all amazing

performance, mechanics, balances, skill changes...not so much

so i'd say if you are someone who is mostly a story oriented casual player its definitely worth it

if you are a hardcore pvp player or progression raider or the such...not sure

Only if you are like me and must play MMOs. ESO like or not is the shiniest of turds at the moment. The MMO genre is facing a Dark Age atm. Maybe one it may never recover from.

Out of all the current mmos o2p, b2p and f2p eso has the most charm for me followed by gw2. I play both games daily but eso takes up most my time. It's not perfect, but no mmo is.

    No.
Performance they offer do not worth any sub or chapter price especialy when you consider from how long it is and how many bug are here from years.

I love this game, but as soon as I find an other game I'll go away.
    They ruin their one game.
