this afternoon i was trying to up a vSS farm, looked at my pve guilds for members to form a group and found that there is only 10-15 online.
this is on my 4 pve guilds, no joking ...12 -

1 year=1, 11 months=1,10 months=1, 9 months=2, 8 months=1, 7 months=2, 6 months=3, 5 months=4, 4 months=14, 3 months=24, 2 months=28, 1 month=21
Id have to say in the last 4 months of this game plays have been leaving more then an year ago by an lot
I don't do days 1-29 because its to much but this itself shows pattern for the issue your asking

You 're seeing more people in cities, more problems to find a dungeon with dungeon finder, but your buddy list and your old guildies are less and less numerous ? That's normal.
-New "old players" are here since morrowind and summerset now, they cp810+ and AvA50...
-About players since the first hour ? they already did their job, they left and their guild are mostly closed
That's maybe what Zenimax wants.
New blood, new generation, new fresh money to be spent.

well if i log in on a sunday afternoon / evening and it takes me an hour to find a pug group for one of the main trials thats not too good...and that wasnt one time but frequently in recent weeks why i stopped logging in more and more...
I dont think dragon hold will hold players interest for long... i think it will cause a burst for a month together with witches festival, than players will leave and come back for a week around the new life festival...
I really hope ZOS plan for next year can create some serious buzz1 -

That really pisses me off because I put so much work into these characters and practice on dummies then, BAM all that work for 15k. JUST PISSES ME OFF! REALLY THINKING OF QUITTING!10 -

✭✭✭✭Been playing other games that have less bugs (like many skills that have been broken for years, so good luck with a timely Blast Bones fix), better server performance, and aren't constantly shift the ground under my feet to make balance changes. Are you starting the group or are you waiting for people to form it for you? Either way it's nothing out of the ordinary. I also wanna point out that you complaining about declining trial population and saying you don't log in anymore..........wondering if maybe those two are related. Seems to be a you problem.
Ok so it won't hold people's interest forever. I'm still waiting for how this is different from any other dlc for any game ever. Yes it will bring people and yes they will eventually leave.....around the holiday season. Ya know because people can't be on the game 24/7 so you can pug trials. I'd maybe suggest getting a trial guild or two. That might help you out.1 -

For me, it's just coming down to performance.
I push a button, and the thing that's supposed to happen actually happens in other games.
Right there, that's miles above what ESO currently is.
Tired of being in a trial or Cyrodiil having skills with a 2 or 3 second delay. Something that only is happening in this game.
Not to mention the rollercoaster of changes every three months. The fatigue is real.19 -
LongMaySheReign✭✭✭After 1 year without a new trial we got a boring trial like vSS(all recycled mechanics except for tank mechanics basically), and no other trial or arena with the coming patch. Next week the max dps will be nerfed a lot, so it’ll be harder to get the achievements people already have gotten by cheesing with full barrier rotas or stacking full necros in groups.(at this point some of the achievements just became kinda worthless and godslayer kinda impossible for many endgame guilds-also for some of the ones who had gotten it this patch. No new trial, less motivation to do achievements.
Don’t get me wrong, I fully support the maj vulnurebility nerf, it was the most ridiculous debuff that was ever introduced. It’s just that the only new-ish trial bosses have tons of health just because of that debuff, and it will make the fight significantly longer than before for organised groups. Which-most of the people weren’t enjoying already even with maj vuln. These kind of things discourage a lot of people who have given a lot of their time to progress eso endgame. Not really surprising that people would want to leave. Eso was never this dull before. There’s literally nothing interesting to do if you’ve been playing this game for 2-3 years...8 -

I really like the tes world and alliance war aspect of the game but it is starting to getting on my nerves. I am trying to activate powers and can't, I even get a warning "This person is busy"
Yes, this person is me and I am supposed to be busy fighting.
If you don't activate my shield, I die. If I get stunned by my own streak I die. It is supposed to stun the enemies! Not me!
Letting alone getting non-laggy pvp server, right now can't even log in to do my daily crafting writs because PC-EU server is broken.
I am really annoyed at this point.
