    By class identity, ZOS apparently means that they are working one skill to give you an effect that is already in the game somewhere else (Warden: minor vulnerability from Flies, DK: stun from Stonefist, Sorcerer: proc from X light attacks from Bound Armaments).

    Not exactly what I'd consider class identity.

    The way the class identity article reads, you'll know your a sorcerer because you'll have blue colored powers maybe? Possibly orange or purple? It definitely didn't read as class identity meaning an actual identity, just s different colored source of the same skills as other classes.

    Class identity for ZOS seems to be the animations and how a skills looks with the theme of a class. It has nothing to do with how the skill actually works and can be a straight rip-off of another classes' skills.

    Well, at least stamdens finally got their stamina flies. I've been asking for that since the release of the class.
    Pugging. Pugging all the way to victory.
    Imperial Dragonknight --- male, stamina, heavy & medium armor, dual wield, one hand and shield, two handed.
    Breton Templar --- female, magicka, light armor, restoration staff.
    Redguard Warden --- female, stamina, medium armor, bow.
    Breton Sorcerer --- male, magicka, light armor, destruction staff.
    Imperial Templar --- male, stamina, medium armor, two handed.

    I feel like maybe they overstated it. Class identity hopefully \= one more class skill for the stamina side.

    But they did do three "one more class ability for the stamina side"s at once. I guess that's a theme. It does sound better than the DOT nerf and cost increase patch. Kind of saps the hope that magblade might get to come out of the basement when it's NB's turn, though.

    All nb needs is mending back on swallow soul, make funnel viable again, bow change is great.

    And I really hate. I know its strong word, but hate dark cloak. With the hot redo it is by far the worst skill you could possibly slot. Even with 30k hp in cp it is the worst hot, the 8% mit does not make up for the horrible hot and bar space issues

    I would like the result if Dk got a real buff on igneous weapons instead of this stonefist fiasco honestly.
    (Edit: did stamDk even needed a spammable at this point?)

    At least that way I would have one new ability to try out and add some unique Dk flavor to my build. But not with how useless this ability is right now.

    Stonefist was so much of a highlight for its meme potential that I feel like all the other opportunities they missed are not even talked at all.

    Didn't we all praise this new dev team? Like seriously what the ***. These guys are horrible. And even the cyrodil changes, the hammer? Like really? During and off hour a 6 man group in discord I was in took the hammer and traded it off. We managed to wipe the entire map and take like 3 scrolls? Yeah way to add balance and spread the population. 6 man coms group followed by 40 pugs wipes map.

    (Pvp perspective) Why are you always complaining about sorcs being weak? I main sorc and I have played every class except Necro. I can tell you from 4 years of experience that mag sorc has never been in need of serious help. This ball of lightning change is a big deal too. It’s giving sorc the only thing it’s ever really lacked, excluding tankieness without shields.

    Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t like it when sorc gets nerfed and the shield nerf recently hit us hard, but you have to adapt. Stop complaining please

    Stam and Mag Sorcs have always been top-tier for pvp. That unblockable stun is just as stupid as Living Dark.

    IF these skill changes were their "grand master" plan for class identity than their idea man/woman behind the scenes needs to go before their lack of creativity and class identity concepts further harms the game.

    Yeah this was a really weird interpretation of identity. When I read that they thought class identity meant you being able to recognize easily which class you were fighting against or using I was like wow, a lot of things make sense rn. So basically all these years the community has been having one conversation and the devs have been having an entirely different conversation. To all of us class identity has meant that classes retain unique skills and flavor and excel at certain types of combat (ranged vs melee, fast vs slow, in your face vs attrition etc). But now it makes sense as to why we are seeing this homogenization even as we yell for more "class identity." It doesn't mean to the devs what it means to us.

    I said it before, during and after, but:

    zos: new gameplay elements!
    me: you mean something like a unique mechanic or playstyle to each class, like one class is good at dots, one is good at aoe, one is good at kiting, there's a unique mechanic to the class like corpses with necromancers but way more interesting and actually useful and involving?
    zos: ........ Stamdks get a spammable! And stamsorcs get a pet!!! and uh.. *looks at smudged writing on hand* mag...blades... get an aoe that's as strong as an execute!!!! that makes sense and is in line with the past 4 months of horrendous patchnotes we've written up about standardizing aoes!!!!

    Kinda? The warden was a cheap fast easy way to make a hew class, they ripped the name from Vvarden[fell].- the developers are lacking imagination.

    The warden has abilities that dont exist in Vvardenfell, ice and bears. Is warden supposed to be a gardner or an ice cube? This cheapo class feels like a quick way to make $.

    so this is the new and improved animation ? you set your poop on fire and throw it ? im sure i have seen this in a move xD

    pls zu just rework this skill to be a flaming/stonesword with some interesting mechaniks, for example you could move the molten whip morph to this mechanik (using the sword 3 times will increase the heat for the last blow with deals xx% more dmg, as a mag dk i wouldnt care that the effects of this spammable were moved to another skilline since the whip doesent benefit from the ardent flame passives.
    thaaan you can rework the molten whip for the stamina whip that every stam dk wanted, it would be a win win situation (not for those who still try to play a ranged dk xD).

    A Sword would alos fit the dragonKNIGHT aspect
