ESO Pro would hypothetically cost $19.99 or so a month.
I can already tell you that the last two things are improbable, as they would luck features behind the Subscription.
I can also tell you that ADDING anything to the current ESO+ concept Is absolutely ridiculous. You think ZOS will keep ESO us the same price and just throw in 30 free crown crates? That's 10k free crowns. The amount of money that would cost ZOS is insane.
The idea of another tier of subscription is interesting. But again, there is no way ZOS would give you 60 free crown crates... That's 20k crowns. 21k crowns cost 120€. And you want them as a GIFT, ontop of other features, for 20 bucks. Please think about those numbers.
Who on earth would want 30, let alone 60, crown crates per month?
Good luck with performance if you have unlimited crafting and housing storage plus housing items and collectibles. Did you mean to omit inventory space?
Not being a PvPer I have no idea what PvP island access is, then again I have no idea what exclusive horse track house is either.

The argument is indeed dependent upon the crates being exceptionally overpriced filler.
I don't know the number of subs at present date but this would give nonsubscribers more reason to buy in and current subscribers a incentive to upgrade. I'm not aware of the crate sales numbers but the method described here would increase gross profit exponentially.
Lowering the prices or increasing drop odds had occurred to me previously. What price would you think for a single crate? 300 perhaps? I was picturing 100 and people just spend the same amount total in that scenario, considering that drop rates are so low. As for the gem price being adjusted it begs the question how many for an apex reward.Avariprivateer wrote: »I can already tell you that the last two things are improbable, as they would luck features behind the Subscription.

You're still underestimating how many people buy crates. There are people who buy 100+ crown crates to get radiant mounts. A lot of them. Most people who already pay for ESO+ also buy crown crates. Giving them crates for free, and THAT MANY, means at least half of those people will stop needing to buy crates as they can get most of the small stuff and probably a few big prizes for free.
Again, adding anything to current subscription model would just be a waste of money for them. I assure you they'd rather have someone spend 70 bucks on crowns in single purchases. Right now they get people to do that AND pay for ESO+. Their big incentive for ESO+ us invo management, which is why most people sub; that pull is strong enough.
Adding exclusive Zones is against their business model and would cause insane backlash, especially from PVPers.
Your idea would in no way increase gross profit. It would lose ZOS a lot of cash money. In order for your idea to be profitable, ESO+ would have to be AT LEAST 30-50 bucks a month, and ESO++ I don't even know. And that's just ignoring the potential relation between raw crown value (currently from crown stipend alone) to RL money being applied to your crown crate idea... Oh and crown store discount, so people will buy even less crowns. Your ratios are just way way way off.
Sub rates in ESO are very high, and the people that don't sub do it for very different reasons. Cosmetic and loot incentives aren't the best strategy to draw them in.
Edit: To try and tone this down to be more realistic: if ZOS were to find it reasonable to put some teaser crown crates as an ESO plus bonus, it would probably be around 3 per month. You're suggesting ten times of a realistic number.
Edit: Just to clarify, most end-game people sub, and those people are simultaneously the biggest source of crown sales. More casual players prefer to buy crowns for specific situations and have no need for a subscription. Your idea is just already doomed to only affect a tiny niche of players.
In the end you're basing this when thing in the misguided belief that ZOS in any way needs more subs or income. But the truth is they have plenty of both. The current system is very successful in that regard.
Personally I think a small adjustment to crown pricing (either what items cost or what crowns cost) would actually increase sales as it is one of the most expensive premium currency I've ever come upon... But even then that's just my speculation.

My inspiration was Core Crystals from Nintendo's Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which come with the game but a few extras come with the expansion pass. Your idea does nothing to end gambling practices unless ZoS simply quit selling crown crates. In fact it might make things worse for some people.

That's 10k free crowns. The amount of money that would cost ZOS is insane.
