Yeah, but the problem for me is the NB skills don't fit the Redguard theme IMO.

i think DK templar and sorc stam variations fit pretty well.
its all about feelings.
but i kinda have the same issue like you with some races. my main is dunmer stamblade but i also want khajiit, argonian nb too. but dont wanna play the same stuff over and over again.
made khajiit necro but it doesnt fit really?? i dont know...should i make it argo? hmm. but the khajiit i made looks pretty cool. cant buy char slots either...

as an aside I'm toying with the idea of a Khajiit necro. Not lore unfriendly, as I believe their culture is somewhat ambivalent regarding necromancy. With the Argonians, however, necros are few and far between, what with the reverence for ancestry and the quick decomposition of available corpses in the swamps.

I'm an altoholic and I love to roll up a char of @ least one race and class but for the life of me I just can't seem to get behind the Redguard. None of the classes seem to fit organically with Redguard culture for me unless I forego using class skills and just use weapon skills. I've tried it but was somewhat boring for me. I've tried to reconcile it with my head canon regarding their general disdain for magic but the presence of some magic users (necro's in particular) but it just doesn't "feel right". lol what's a fella to do??

They are totally OP for RPing a dumb, silly drunk in a tavern. The race should come with a free Drunk personality, given how they portray them in game. Even so, Rigurt is one of my favorite NPCs and I’m always glad to see him.

What armor is this?
I'd also go templar stamina build, because then the magic is more akin of "holy prayer" and fits well enough with worship of Ruptgar, Tu'wacca, Leki and so on.stewhead2ub17_ESO wrote: »I've tried to reconcile it with my head canon regarding their general disdain for magic but the presence of some magic users (necro's in particular) but it just doesn't "feel right". lol what's a fella to do??

The swordsingers are very important part of the redguard lore in TESO, but unfortunately there isn't a swordsinger/swordmaster class to be played, not even a faction with some skills that will be fitting for a redguard. So this might be an issue, but otherwise, I don't see why the OP has a problem with playing redguard. When you start a new char, his background story is not known, so a redguard char could have been born in Elsweyr for example, captured and sold as a slave for house Dres, then captured by the Worm Cult and sacrificed by Mannimarco (as the story begins). The player gets to Alikr desert later in the game. Stros M'kai is a fun zone with a great adventurer/pirates vibe.
