DK Looking Okay on 5.2.2?

    Well its definitely a step in the right direction. My only complain right now is that stonefist still has that very ugly animation. I'll be brutally honest Its probably the worst looking ability on the entire game for me. I know there are like 2 people left on the planet that enjoy the looks of this ability however Dks always had very cool and iconic abilities like wings, claws, leap, spiked armor etc. So this looks like a downgrade you know...

    I would very much appreciate a new animation. Heck, I would appreciate if they made it a melee ability. ranged Dk builds already have the bow poison abilities available while melee poison builds do not have a spammable of any sorts. It would be really damn cool to see a poison spammable , preferably one thats melee instead.

    But hey, thats probably the opinion of the vast majority , so who cares, right?

    Hey , that would be basically ''poison whip'' :P and I would love it.

    Could even be a 12m gap closer, nothing too absurd, but still helps DK's closing up and not letting go of the target.

    I would like an exceptionally strong but short ranged gapcloser honestly, that sounds fitting to stamDk. In other words If I had to be stuck with current stonefist(as far as looks goes), I would rather have it as anything else than a spammable.

    Can burning or poisoned proc on the same target while it is still ticking?

    i think you can put as much astatus as you can. I've seen elemental weapon proc of chilled and concussed

    Don't forget about the fact that they increased the cost of Searing Heat so this sustain buff is a pseudo buff, you spend more resource but recover some of the amount now, there is no actual gain.

    It's good they are upping the DoT damage from the previous level, which will make them slightly better than they were in U22 (for example, something that did 10,000 DoT damage in U22 got upped to 13,770 in U23 then with initial 5.2 down to 8,630 and upcoming will bring it to 10,350). However, considering that means they will do a tiny sliver more than in U22, they still haven't addressed the astronomical cost increase of it.

    Better. If they do as they're planning and dial back the general DOT nerf next week I'm going to be fine. Adjustment-period fine, not "Oh did they increase costs or something?" fine. But fine.

I'll pass.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    Claw tool tip is 8500 so no nothing has really changed stonefist is still a *** skill that u have to land multiple times for a single cc (dumb mechanic) and we get told to just wait longer.. I wont spend another 3 months of bad combat I refuse I'd rather kill the same bosses over and over on borderlands 3 than give these people anymore of my time

    my claw tool tip in double damage sets fully buffed was just over 8500... Poison Inject on a medium armor double damage set stam plar was 6366 over ten seconds someone base hp regen can outheal that

    Perhaps, but I haven't played much since May. Can;t say I agreed with what they did to Flame Lash, Burning Embers, or Reflective Scales. Or their first change to Engulfing, which was silly that it became a spammable. Maybe it's me, but I don;t see this latest set of patch notes restoring the feeling of playing a Dragonknight. But then again, I'm one of those pesky players who were around since Launch so milage will vary.

    The strenght of stone giant is not the CC, but the fact that every attacks on the staggered enemy increases the dmg done. if you combine poison status + claw dot + flurry, the dmg is huge. And I've not even mentioned glyphs, proc sets, passives (dw axe apply another dot, while each sword increases the extra dmg done)

    In fact, you are rewarded for being offensive.

    Amazingly, the stacks also seem to work with mDK,

    They will, if its strong enough. However, nobody will do so because it feels/looks good, which is the real reason as to why this ability failed the goal they striked for this update.

    ironic - magdk's that usually carry destro staves get up close and personal in melee range to use the iconic whip. meanwhile, stamina dk's that usually carry melee weapons like swords/mauls have a ranged rock throwing ability.

    it begs the question: is anyone awake up there? why aren't the magdk's throwing molten fire and stamdk's using poison whips.

    i dunno... i guess obvious isn't so obvious

    Guys, you are too early to celebrate. Compare tooltip on Live vs PTS 5.2.2. This 33% I guess is applied exclusively to dot part and 10% from direct damage part is gone. This is no-CP, same character.

    If this is not bug, and it is intentional this is another nerf :D

    This should be an ability that both mag and stam get but as an ultimate and replaces leap and keeps the range of leap and the damage. Because it looks Cool AF. I've wanted it since they firsted added it in DSA. We'll keep our dragon flair because wings, it can have a stam morph too but it shouldn't be poison, stamdks need that awful green crap taken away and given FIRE but scaling as physical not elemental.

    It looks nice when used once. But now imagine spamming it. That would just look silly especially if You would stand like 2 meters away from enemy.

    They did not increased base tooltips for DoTs yet. They'll do it later. So if the base value go up then 33% out of that higher base value will be also higher then it's now. Maybe tooltips wont be that high as they're on live server but they'll be definietly higher then they're atm on PTS.

    It's not looking bad and stonefist might actually be okay now, but no matter how good that skill can be i refuse to be seen throwing turds at people. Also, even if it gets a visual rework, it still has nothing to do with the dragonknights theme, it'd be better to just get rid of it completely and add something that fits in

    I'm especially interested in trying the new Combustion along with guaranteed Searing Strike status effect.

    Even with no cd on Combustion, you can barely sustain 21mil on bistat food with Charged staff. I'd rather trade the 2s cd back for reduced cast costs. Especially 6k on Eruption is ridiculous - I can exchange it for Mystic Orb or Entropy but then I generate ult slower.

    That is why this needs to be a DK stamina CC with a secondary effect and CC grade dmg.
    Forget about stamDK spammables.
    And no, why make it green.

    Get your sht together or else I see us stuck with poop fist for another 3 years.
    StamWhip is not they way to go:
    It will be weak
    It will look silly seeing your weapons dissapear and a whip appear
    Zos will never do it.


    We need to get this animation and make it work.

    Yes Ik this but a reverse execute fits the theme of a dk more so than an execute

    I think a visual rework that fits the idea dragonknight considering the akaviri style of fighting would be more or less a concussive force as in thrusting ones fist with enough energy the force of the punch is driven forward impacting the enemy and actually kind of would make sense with the stagger mechanic.

    Basically it’s a melee skill with range and remove the rock animation give it something similar to dragons fus ro dah

    Question: why is the status effect guaranteed?

    Question 2: There is no cooldown on Combustion anymore, is there a cooldown on status effects? Meaning, Poisoned is a 6s DOT, burning a 4s DOT. Can they overlap? Will the status DOT go for all of 6 seconds before the status effect can proc again?
