Just curious, I'd love to hear what is other peoples favorite cities, villages or towns in this game.
For me, from the vanilla ones I'd have to say Riften, although mistly because of how much i loved it back in skyrim. still, love the looks, the wodden bridges the autumn trees, the water, it's very beautiful.
From the non vanilla ones it's probably Abah's landing, mainly because of the thieves guild quests, and I've always loved corrupt cities where I've had to escape and hide in small places andtravel in roofs to get where I want to be. :)

Windhelm. I have the house there which I now never use since I bought the Snow Globe home. Although, I would say it’s more the zone I like, rather than just the main city. The snow is pretty to run around on.

Tied with Windhelm/Eastmarch is Alinor, and all of Summerset. I love the beauty of Summerset; prettiest zone in the game IMO. 😊

    1) Kvatch - always makes me sad to think of what will happen to that beautiful city later in the timeline.
    2) Stros M'kai - I have spent (or will spend) so many hours running around that island, fleeing from the governor's guards...
    3) Daggerfall - walking around this city at night without being hunted (and haunted) by Lysandus' ghost feels precious.

So it's all due to nostalgia, actually xD.
Oh right, and another mention goes out to Ephesus. I know it's not a city yet, but I have visited the place several times just because my Daggerfall main will buy a house there later in the timeline.

In TES II: Daggerfall, the city streets of Daggerfall were haunted at night until you solved the case of Lysandus' death. You could walk around unharmed by day, but not after sundown.
My favorite way of spending the night in old (or rather, later) Daggerfall? Hide in a store until the owner left at night, then steal everything that wasn't chained to the walls.

Kvatch is #1 for me, too. As I stare at it from a distance on the castle walls of my Linchal Grand Manor, knowing what's to come. :D

My favorite cities in the game are Rimmen, Mournhold, and Kvatch.

    1) Rimmen - I love the market area as everything you could possibly ever need for your character is there. The Khajiiti architecture is gorgeous though I wish that the city had a stronger "Imperial" feel similar to Hakoshae. Nevertheless, it's pretty much the place where my main character spends most of his time nowadays.

    2) Mournhold - My favorite city of the vanilla zones. The market area is quite nice, I love seeing the ordinators roaming around, and the guild stores are conveniently located in the city center. I'm not a huge fan of its bank, but it's cool knowing that your god is also a resident of the city and that the Clockwork city is...

    3) Kvatch - In all of ESO's chaos, it's really nice to see a living, breathing imperial city with imperial style architecture that's not being invaded by the various alliances or wrecked by daedra.

My favorites are probably Anvil and Kvatch. The civilizations on the Gold Coast have always look really good to me. I also love the zone itself - which resembles some kind of Mediterranean landscape by the sea. Then of course you have the cavern areas such as where Dark Brotherhood hangs out with bats, stalagmites, glowing mushrooms and crystals....it's just a cool-looking area generally. I'm not sure which developer was responsible for churning out that zone but they deserve it a lot of credit. It's wonderfully done.

I always liked Haven in Grahtwood. Very low foot traffic, a bank, and all crafting stations (minus jewelry I think). Just need to get rid of all the prisoners of war and it would be better!

    1) Crosswych - just something beautiful about the mountain pass, sleeping mining community nestled away. Incredible view with River and waterfall. Gorgeous when raining and looking over the town.

    2) Daggerfall - because freaking awesomeness and structured order at its best. And I'm a Breton. Love the city.

    3) The Fishing town in Rivenspire. Fell Run? Beautiful vistas and the sleepy courage getaway feel.

Alinor for it's beauty, like a fairy tale married art nouveau and had a glorious cathedral baby.

Vivec for it's feel of Manifest Destiny.

Mournhold. It looks so other-worldly. Such a spectacular view over my garden wall. And things are conveniently laid out, unlike many other crafting and trading centres.

Abah's Landing - I love shady/thief towns and deserts. I also have a fondness for harbour towns so this is a tripple whammy.
Kvatch & Anvil - The Oblivion nostaliga is strong, they are beautiful cities and it's so nice to see imperial cities that is "peaceful".

and a special mention to The Stitches.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Rimmen - Very convenient crafting area, nice Tavern, great bards!

The Bright-Throat Village for that Argonian Bard who sings in Jel, gives a nice touch :)

Root-Whisper Village for the ambience alone (also because I really like Xukas)

last but not least - Lilmoth - for the general feel of a welcoming Argonian Coast-Town :D
