Wow, such skill required to get 24 of your former-emp guildmates together and camp the DC Base! I'm totally inspired to gang up and bully people now! PvP is great!

Thanks to the groups last night that at least let us have a boss for tickets! Though I noticed you kep the scamp room. Guess this is why I still don't have any scamp achievements.
I miss being able to PvE in IC, it's my fav PvE zone.

*In b4 all the "just organize a counter zerg!" - hahahaha, this is DC we're talking about. We may have pop cap but no one wants to group, can't even keep districts. Underdog bonuses are useless. It would be nice to have a group to scamp hunt, but it's been 2 years since I could PvE in IC during off hours. Yay.

If you want to focus on the PVE in PvPvE, and avoid the PVP, maybe try doing it when its not the busiest time of year in Imperial City.

Otherwise, group up and fight the campers. Their method of playing during the IC Event is just as valid as your desire to play your way - that's what generates conflict, an essential component in all PvPvE zones.

I was there last night. DC base near the door was loud and the floor was shaking. It was clear that enemy players were on the platform. If going into the sewers is your goal, players have options when this happens.

-Go out the door and fight on the platform.
-Take the side door to flank the enemies or attempt to sneak away.
-Avoid it completely by taking the Elven Gardens ladder and dropping down to the sewers from the manhole.

Individuals in those kinds of groups are the most satisfying players to gank.

It's too bad those same players also zerg on the forums. They get ZoS to make certain there are less and less effective ways to counter zergs.

Huge numbers in Cyrodiil means a long horse ride for solo types. In imperial city it makes playing solo all risk with little reward.

When solo, not many options outside of bombing.

So, the groups in non-CP were running between the Elven sewer grate and the rooms by Gatti. Would have had to go to Nobles to get around, and then if you could survive the other groups waiting at bosses.

I have a problem with the mindset that grouping up to bully others is “pvp.” Ganking at quest items/bosses/choke points is only fun for the gankers; which the devs are, so it isn’t going to change. It would be nice to gave a “neutral” campaign, as all the existing ones were camped.

You are saying 24 former emp EP gate camped DC across all four servers at the same time? I kinda doubt that, but impressive organization if they did pull it off.

in non-CP, yes 2 groups (maybe 1 that switched campaigns when all the DC did) of all emps camped the DC gate. One AD, one EP. Probably not coordinated, but annoying as ***.

From the responses here, it seems the same thing went on in CP as well. Totally cool and original idea.

I've always had the most fun running with a small group (4 or less) just killing IC bosses and scamp hunting. I don't mind the PvP, but not when I'm dying constantly. If I want to die constantly I'll go to Cyro and at least have a 15 minute horse ride inbetween deaths.

OK, so you got your event tickets. Sounds like a win to me. But I'm only doing this event for the tickets. Maybe just me, but I figured the gankers would be working in groups, so trying to get anything else done in IC during this event would be both frustrating and non-productive. Unless you were in a large group and could kill the gankers by force of numbers. So far, I am getting event tickets every day, so I'm good.

I know all about the sewers. I've probably spent more time down there than any other player on NA PC. The gankers down in the sewer are typically terrible. Use detect pots and bring a friend to rez you.

First day for ic event I whipped all but one ad Zerg. By kitting 2 to 3 Pve’Rs around at a time because they aren’t good at pvp so they don’t know better. I learned how to pvp in ic before dueling on ps4 ic had a decent amount of groups so I learned how to kite and use all the buildings and bosses

The EPs I saw camping us outside the spawn last night there wasn't 24 of them they had like 6 at max maybe we had them outnumbered 2 to 1 but because half our DC didn't want to jump down and get some target coordination going they got farmed instead.

Then the few who thought they could stay on the platform and just range attack from safety im glad to say those EP plars put a stop to that real quick when they used toppling charge to get on the platform and start farming the range specs.

Granted I realize a lot of my DC out there were probably pvers just looking to get some tickets but if yal havnt figured out by now events in PVP maps draw PvP players and the more people you bring that look disorganized and clueless the more you are going to get farmed "Period"

To be clear I died quite a few times my self during the exchanges but before the EPs turned tail and left a few of them had met their fate thanks to my ganks.

The sad reality is the bigger numbers yal roll in when it comes to these events the more likely it is you are going to draw in EP or AD in organized groups who want to farm you a few may chase down solo players but....

The vast majority of the EPs/ADs were looking for the groups of DC to farm and they hit the jackpot when they saw yals correctly labled "clueless zerg" imo yal had it coming

what type of build are you playing?

played DC on both severs on CP IC today...both cases red had larger groups and yellow had better small man groups roaming around...

was able to meet up and shadow a few small groups around the flags...lots of times had to cloak/slink :( away when larger enemy groups came to run us down...

best thing about playing a magblade - you can mostly choose your encounters, and when you die...hardly anyone slots magelight or runs detect pots...

my na characters (each race, stam/mag version each class) are all cp 810...I started some new toons though during summerset on my sister server (ps4/eu)...

I like doing quests solo...took my level 45 (no cp on any of the characters on this server) magblade and just finished 4 of the district quests...got really lucky with defeat molag bal's temple forces in the temple district...

there's this daedric titan with wicked ranged attacks you have to fight inside a fairly tight space ...got lucky and two enemy players were doing the quest and mostly let me hang on the outside and fire away without trying to kill me too many times...

I already know that one quest where you have to defend the doors is gonna be torture doing solo :#

about the most irritating situation I ran in to was the quest where you have to draw a seal on a wall - sounds simple enough right...

the wall is dead smack in the middle of the district, right in front of the district flag and ran in to both enemy alliances at different times camping the quest location...that didn't make me smile...finally was able to get enough time while this one camping duo was fighting some npcs...

cloak is a beautiful thing for getting out of bad situations...as well as potions...remembered why the buildings were so important - sustain can really become an issue there - particularly if you don't have champion points helping you out, and, your gear isn't completely optimized...needed to spend time occasionally hiding inside buildings recovering resource pools...

not really making a ton of tel var, about 1.5k per district mission, but, having fun avoiding "deadly" situations...got the ambiance, footsteps, music, and dialogue levels all turned up :p

trying to remember to look for all the skyshards in IC...

camping dc area? like NOT actually on the platform at the door itself? don't wanna hear it. EP stayed unable to leave their base basically all day yesterday because an entire RAID of AD exploited up onto the platform to the door itself. the platform that is SUPPOSED to be like other safe areas and keep walls ourpost upper levels and NOT be chained or gap-closed onto. Tonight we have DC at least keeping their butts on the ground camping the tunnel itself where we have a chance at least of finishing our load screen to enter the stupid sewer to fight back. I have screenshots of the AD I've already mailed to ZOS. (nameplates were on and i can't black out that many players and still have a legible shot or i'd post it here for you to see) like an entire AD guild decided it was camp the door day yesterday. THAT is horrible behavior and NONE of the alliances should be getting away with exploiting up onto that platform!

Had a few groups (both EP and DC) camping the AD sewer base tonight. There were a lot of PvEers porting in to get tickets, and they kept running out the door and popping back up a minute later at the transitus.

After a while, everybody grouped up, and we made a strong push.... drove the campers back and eventually sent them all home. Some people were saying how much fun it was, as we were fighting for 10-15 minutes nonstop. So we rolled through the sewers, about 12 of us, killed some minibosses, got tickets for everybody, and made our way to the center.

There was minimal resistance at the Simulacrum spawn point, and we engaged Molag Bal. We had him almost down when a group of EP raiders tried to take him from us. Everybody fought valiantly, were rezzing folks as they died, and we got Bal down and were working on the enemy players, but then a zerg rolled in and overwhelmed us.

It was cool because here was a group of mostly PvEers and a few PvP, and everybody was excited and having a blast and talking about how much fun our pick-up raid had been. The ones that were just there to get tickets and get out came with us all the way to the big fight, and were talking about coming back tomorrow to do it all again.

So, don't just turn your nose up at that which you haven't tried, you might just find out that it's really a lot of fun. Throw on some Impenetrable gear, temporarily move your CP around to anti-player buffs, and you may find that you are better at PvP than you think.

If you are talking about No-CP IC campaign, you are right. 5-6 AD players were terrorizing the DC base area and very few DC players were trying to kill them. All I see was a bunch of DC (which is also my faction) players, trying to attack them from the gate floor. It was so hilarious, 14-15 DC on the higher ground, light attacks the AD folks. The ones brave enough to go down and tried to kill the AD players left alone by fellow DC players... It was maybe 1v5 in numbers in favor of DC, but DC did not fight. After a couple hours, finally some guild groups (incl. ours) were online so they cleared the whole area.

You only had to push the enemies. If you stand near the gate and light attack them, they will not go away.
