Haven't run into this problem yet. So the platform isn't off limits to enemy factions? Hmmmm...Intended or is this really an exploit?
Personally I think that platform should be instant death for enemy factions.

There you go your past the zerg
I was there last night. DC base near the door was loud and the floor was shaking. It was clear that enemy players were on the platform. If going into the sewers is your goal, players have options when this happens.
-Go out the door and fight on the platform.
-Take the side door to flank the enemies or attempt to sneak away.
-Avoid it completely by taking the Elven Gardens ladder and dropping down to the sewers from the manhole.
yeah, not a big fan of enemies camping by district doors or the sewer base entrances...
I remember the last couple of IC events was really happy to see that not happening so much...
Had a few groups (both EP and DC) camping the AD sewer base tonight. There were a lot of PvEers porting in to get tickets, and they kept running out the door and popping back up a minute later at the transitus.
After a while, everybody grouped up, and we made a strong push.... drove the campers back and eventually sent them all home. Some people were saying how much fun it was, as we were fighting for 10-15 minutes nonstop. So we rolled through the sewers, about 12 of us, killed some minibosses, got tickets for everybody, and made our way to the center.
There was minimal resistance at the Simulacrum spawn point, and we engaged Molag Bal. We had him almost down when a group of EP raiders tried to take him from us. Everybody fought valiantly, were rezzing folks as they died, and we got Bal down and were working on the enemy players, but then a zerg rolled in and overwhelmed us.
It was cool because here was a group of mostly PvEers and a few PvP, and everybody was excited and having a blast and talking about how much fun our pick-up raid had been. The ones that were just there to get tickets and get out came with us all the way to the big fight, and were talking about coming back tomorrow to do it all again.
So, don't just turn your nose up at that which you haven't tried, you might just find out that it's really a lot of fun. Throw on some Impenetrable gear, temporarily move your CP around to anti-player buffs, and you may find that you are better at PvP than you think.
