Do you prefer PVE or PVP?

I would just like to get a sense of where the majority of players prefer to spend their time in ESO. I prefer PVE, but have done PVP just to get Vigor or Caltrops. I’m sure some of you PVP’ers have endured PVE just for undaunted

Currently, PvP. I do enjoy vet PvE content, but it just gets old after a while. PvP doesn't really have that problem, so I find myself jumping into ESO for the PvP more often than the PvE nowadays.

In pretty much every MMO, PvP is straight grind.
PvE includes STORY content, and that's what I'm here for. I'm not here for PvE grind like doing dungeons or trials over and over again.

I was to Cyrodiil for more then Caltrops. I also got all PvE, including the last four shards, done and bought most motifs. In those months i was in many battles as stamden healer-buff-dps. Build was like impen battle acrobat and medium impen brass. I got a few skill points from promotions.

But i wont go back. Some people are weirdo's to say it polite. And the modern mmo battle royal mindset is not my cup either.
I am now 100% PvE. If i go back with an alt i ll just do the shards.

Been to Imperial City but this is the cellar of the asylum. BG never was my cup in any game.

I played both equally till this patch, pvp is no fun for me atm. So I'll stick to pve for now. But knowing this game, things will change again, so I might gravitate towards pvp more next patch.

I prefer PvP these days. I have spent years solely on PvE content though prior to becoming obsessed with PvP lol. And I will still do all new zone content/new quests etc at least once. Also trying to get more into doing dungeons, I want them all done on my main for achievement reasons and recently discovered that even vet dungeons were not as bad as I worked it up in my head, so time to knock them out lol

Clear majority support by a long way for PVE, be that more exclusive PVErs or folk who play both (play both but ticked PVE as the question asked which do I prefer). Its PVE that receives the highest player base focus, it seems.

Which begs the question, why does Zos continue to give undue influence to PVP on the game. It seems like so many of the updates, nerfs, buffs, fixes, revolve around PVP and what vocal PVPers want.

Perhaps thats just a perception but reading the forums then seeing the changes, that is what it feels like. Of course, there are plenty of changes that no one seems to have asked for, but thats another matter.

PvP just means you gotta minmax to not get one shot and I'm not about to read sets and limit myself to 3 of them that will be useless next patch because of modern game devs thinking fun needs a nerf.

PvE is just annoying right now, at least for End game players. Necromancer ultimate is beyond broken and it doesn't work correctly, i don't like at all playing the class.

It's typically twice a year. Three if you count the weird mid-year event we had in January.

You see a poll like this pop up every now and again, but you can guarantee seeing it when there's a PvP event.

But I guess I would be more inclined to PVE.
Just slightly.
Like %60 PVE and %40 PVP.
Because of the great quests and storylines.

My mood decides, sometimes I feel like PvP. Sometimes I feel like PvE, both can be a lot of fun.

i play both but more PvP at mo, nice to play when your build comes together and you learn some of the more intricate parts of it, can be frustrating at times but for every 100 deaths that 1 or 2 kills you get in a good fair fight make it worth it

Large scale PvP and BGs with balanced teams can be fun at times.

I nearly voted for the both option then I read this and voted for pvp. This doesn’t help anyone there was a lot of changes that us pvpers didn’t want either.

I don't have that much time to play so I prefer story content and gameplay that doesn't frustrate the f*** out of me. Open pvp in MMO has almost no learning curve, as you are pitted in often uneven combat situations without any prompts on what to do really. I prefer Battlegrounds for pvp as it has much more fair circumstances going on. Also I often meet PvP'ers who are toxic and unhelpful, and their only answer for any gripes is "git gud".

Having said that I don't think that PvP in ESO should be removed or sidelined. It has it's own flavor that suits some people that want more hardcore from their games and want to pursue that.

I wouldn't enjoy the game as much if both options weren't there but I do spend more time in PvE. Imo I think it is easier to jump in and out quickly if you don't have a lot of time.

You forgot to ask about the meta games... selling and inventory management.
