This is definitely worse than the other leveling dungeons.

An alternative, but not a trivial one by any means. Pet sorcs can put out reasonable damage, but health is not one of the strong merits.

The Imperial City Dungeons are the first DLC dungeons, and like the others, they are longer and more mechanically intensive.

I generally prefer WGT over ICP, just because I find ICP to be the longer of the two dungeons, with one fight largely dependent on how well my teammates understand the flesh grenade mechanic.

IMO, WGT's mechanics are a little easier to explain in the middle of the fight, except for Planar Inhibitor. That one I explain if we wipe because we couldnt burn her and then no one took aggro off my tank.

Whilst I normally love pvp, not overly keen on IC. And have little time at present to be able to group up for either dungeons or bosses, so have been reliant on quick sewer boss deaths to get event tickets.

Has been easy. 5 mins tops. In & out. Usually someone else around to join in the kill.

But was funny today. Me & another player killed boss. Got tickets. Heading back to base - but other player not following. Curious, turn round to see them dispatching lone red who had been hiding behind stuff waiting to gank us. Beautiful.

This could be you OP, you could have been one of these chill PvErs who we would have welcomed with open arms, trained you how to wield your weapon against another player. But instead you spit on us and kick us in the ribs before you even tried the event.

Well said. I experienced a similar situation a few years ago. I had such a great time learning, that I started to PvP more often. Now I find myself helping others who need it.

I am probably a hopeless case on the "doing well at PvP" part. I could still have fun and dying is not the problem. Continually dying with no chance to win is more of an issue.

Have to disagree with op. I run 14 characters, 2 heal, 2 tanks and 10 various. I converted one of the tanks for PVP and I'm loving it. Yes I've been ganked, bullied, group ganked and generally killed big time but guess what? My gameplay has improved massively, I've never missed an event token(think they're a waste of time anyway). Basically I'm really enjoying PVP and I might find it hard to revert to PVE when this is finished

I have a character parked at a boss neared to alliance base. I just logged on this morning, waited a minute with a crowd of DC around, killed boss, got 2 tickets, and logged off with my character still at the boss spawn location. I will do the same thing tomorrow. 2 tickets, no PvP. Well, there was a little PvP when a few enemies showed up trying to catch us distracted and quickly died.

Some days I have to wait longer for the spawn. Once someone was trying to farm people at that boss. Anyone complaining about PvP is too busy complaining to think about solutions.

This is one of the easiest events yet for getting tickets. I ran ICP the first day and was reminded that the dungeon takes too long for quick tickets. Just camp a boss in the sewers.

I could care less about the event tickets. I am in IC during the event purely to gank other players. That's were the fun is. If you don't like what I said here oh well. I am not the only one doing it either. See you in IC.

The ganking does kinda suck. I'm a good sport about it and all, but it's definitely a bit tedious. My alliance owned the entire map when I went in just a while ago for tickets. All except for the one just above EP base. -_- Blue had it. And where were they? Camped near our door, and all along the path to the mini boss I kill for tickets. Got ganked, respawed in base. Okay, fine. I had no TelVar, so they gave me 300 of theirs, so I guess I got paid for them to kill me? I didn't know I got paid when they killed me? Has this always been a thing?

Anyway, waited for a few other EP players and followed the group to the boss. A lot were low level too, like 20's and 30's. I'm max CP but I'm not built or geared to PVP; only have Impen on 2 pieces of my armor. We all went into sneak to wait for boss to respawn. Boss spawned, and as soon as we killed it, a bunch of blues come out of stealth and instantly slaughtered the low-level babies. I tried to avenge them as a kinda tanky DK, and managed to last a minute against the 4 or 5, but no contest, I am just as dead as the babies.

We were all sitting in our death screen, staring longingly at the glowing boss that had our tickets, since none of us were able to loot before dying. I stepped away from the game for a second to go help my 4 year old with something. When I came back....joy! A fellow EP had rezzed me and the others! We got our tickets and started back to base....and all got killed by more lurking Blues just around the corner lol. And all that was to say...

PSA TO GANKERS: Please wait until after the people you want to gank kill the boss and loot it, and you will get more TelVar out of us PVE lambs to the slaughter. I'm happy for you to kill me, just let me get my flippin' tickets first!
