I used to work in the gaming industry, on mmos as it happens, I may sound jaded but here is mine coin for what it’s worth.

Consider this, it is obvious that the bulk of the game is getting easier every year, why... isn't it clear yet?

ZOS has a vast amount of data to draw on, far more than any of us, since the game swung towards its current laid back state its done almost nothing but grow. So much so that the servers and the game itself are starting to freak under the load. I’m in a network of guilds and we are overflowing with new players. They play because it’s easy. It’s relaxing, looks gorgeous, awesome voice acting and has great stories... they don’t seem that fussed about the difficulty... these days neither am I.

The game started out hard, very unforgiving. Many of us left a trail of zone quest bosses behind us that we couldn’t kill until we got higher levelled. I enjoyed the challenge, most did not and it nearly killed the game. Look at craglorn, one of my favourite zones, started as quite a challenge and guess what... it failed, even after the revamp its still full of deserted bosses and silent locations haunted only by the odd mats farmer

The vet content is not there for 99% of players, it’s there for the fraction of 1% who care that it even exists. One day you might get a nerf me button, but you definitely won’t get a set of vet zones. It doesn’t matter to ZOS that most players can’t do vet dungeons because ZOS has no need for them to be able to do so... it’s as simple as that

I don't think the normal dungeons need to be tweaked, the players who want to learn will take the time to do so. I left the game well before the one tamriel change occurred and since coming back it's effectively a different game. Running the normal dungeons are a fun side diversion and a quick shot at loot. Before attempting the vet version I make sure to run the normal version and watch for the mechanics. Admittedly you can't learn all of the mechanics, but i've yet to pug a group that didn't have someone knowledgable willing to explain what to do and after knowing what to look for we get it almost always on the second try.

I like that fact that I don't have to play hard mode 24/7 just to farm keys while working on putting my gear sets together, the challenge is there for those that seek it out which I think is a good balance.

I can't speak for consoles, but if you can't seem to find pugs to do the new vet dungeons it would be worth looking for a guild that advertises running that content and going in that way. These dungeons and trials are always more fun with a guild than pugs usually.
"It is a time of strife and unrest. Armies of revenants and dark spirits manifest in every corner of Tamriel. Winters grow colder and crops fail. Mystics are plagued by nightmares and portents of doom."

Why cant people do vet content these days ? It seems everyone blows right on pass normal content but once doing vet and mobs and boss have mechanic work to do everything falls apart why . Can we get harder normals so as to force players to use mechanics even for normal to get prepared for that correctly

Heres where you failed "force players".

the failure is the mechanics themselves.

They should put much more mechanics to quest bosses. Don't necessarily make them oneshot you if you miss the mechanic but make it so that you can't continue the quest before doing it correct.

And this kind of mechanics should happen all the time everywhere to make people used to having to do things.

On Console guilds only want players for their numbers not to help them I could go to five six maybe seven guilds a day they say they are social groups here to help players put in a app getting accepted putting in chat "hello thank you for accepting my app" and never get an response not even from the play whos job it is to accept apps i know this because I've tested it so NO TY ILL STAY SOLO AND PUG MY WAY THROUGH THE GAME TY

One Tamriel did 2 things to the game. One great thing and one terrible.
The great one was that it put the players from all 3 alliance on the same world. No more empty maps for Silver and Gold.
The terrible thing was that it scaled all zones to the level of the players. That destroyed the learning curve of the game and took away the feeling of anticipation and progress when completing overland content.
So the result is that new players just don't learn how this game works and old players get absolutely bored in overland because with each new zone they have no goal to reach and they face no real challenge.
I am more than 1300 cp. Gaining xp and completing overland content has lost any meaning for me since Morrowind, maybe earlier.

Exactly we need harder overland !! I spend a lot of time levelling then getting the perfect gear, earnign money etc. But what I was always looking forward the most was doing the quests (of course I did some fór the skills), And I got bored of it in like two days cause they Are just soooo easy! You can't even imagine how dissapointed I was. Questing after cp160 with good gear Is just a reading simulatior nothing more :(
