Read thread title. Overland veteran. It's quite obvious

No it is not since the OP didn't even bother writing anything worthwhile there.
    It could be Craglorn style.

And even a vet instance would be wasted resources for the reasons I stated.

It will be wasted resources only from your point of view. There was megathread with same title couple of months ago and there were ton of people who supported idea.

    When?

Hopefully soon. This (more than anything else) would make me enjoy this game more. Because the overland is just pitifully easy on this game for veteran players. There needs to be a more challenging alternative for high level characters so they can have fun exploring and questing in new zones too.

Expecting veteran players to spend all their time in a single zone was never realistic. There needs to be a veteran version of every zone - that way players can access the content at their own pace when they get to it. Otherwise players are going to avoid Craglorn not because of the added challenge, but simply due to the fact they haven't got that far yet or are busy finishing the content in other zones.

Though I believe the intention of Craglorn was for it to be an adventure zone for groups.

The old vet zones were just right imo - the difficulty tuning told you where you should be at that level and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of challenges in clearing each zone.

I’d have to agree though - the further you got into old Caldwell’s you got the more it was a solo game lol.

I’ve rolled alts without applying CP - the base difficulty is super easy. The game has been seriously nerfed since release.

Maybe ZOS wants vet players in with casuals so they can get help :)

They had vet zones until One Tamriel. They were empty. I remember spending hours in Auridon (EP gold) without seeing other players. All the veterans hung out in Stonefalls being jerks to noobs. I think (and I believe ZOS would agree) vet zones would be empty after the newness wore off.

I would not mind having a CP300 or even a CP810 version of overland zones. I don't think it will ever happen.

    Probably never.

Think about it. Whatever ZOS did to create veteran difficulty for overland would take time, effort and money & wouldn't satisfy everyone.

Much cheaper for ZOS to just let you debuff yourself if you want some challenge.

Wear white armor, or no sets, or no CP, or all of these. You'll be debuffed enough that you'll have a challenge even against bantam guars. Problem solved.

A better option would be a food or drink that severely disables your character. Different foods and drinks could nerf different sets of traits or skills.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

The reason why in the beginning most areas as you are talking about was empty was because most people of alliances didn't want to progress past their home Alliance with one Tamriel they could have worked this out to keep the leveling system of the world but putting as all into one instant like it should have been to begin with but zenimax or eso development team *** that up by lvling everything the same and WAY TO LOW

Absolutely required and has been for some time due to the never ending power creep.

My idea was to simply increase the health, damage and or number of enemy in certain areas of a region, to create a de facto more difficult "veteran" area. The content is not locked off, it just gets a bit harder.

The alternative is to simply set, in game, our own difficulty, which would adjust the damage you personally receive from enemy. Other games manage this fine. For instance Ghost Recon... you can be in a 4 man team each playing at a different difficulty level.

So please lets not have people saying it cannot be done, it can and is done in other huge open world games.

Why do players want more challenging content?

When they don’t play the challenging content that exists in ESO now??

Because all of the challenging content is group content.

There is NOTHING to do in this vast game on your own once you reach endgame.

All I've been doing for years is decorate my house and spank target dummies. That's not worth a subscription.
