Jewelry is supposed to be expensive so as to not trivialize vet content and the gold jewelry you can get.

Not everyone cares about vet content or wants to bother with trials.

and that is why there is an alternative way to get the gold jewelry. Both statements are true. Jewelry is suppose to be expensive and not everyone wants to do vet content.

No, what you are actually asking for is to screw those of us who farm and trade so you can have a cheaper more easily obtained supply.

You would take from one player to give to your self. We all have the same chance and methods to get golds. Either farm more or buy them. I have no problem having enough golds, I have stacks to sell, feel free to buy some.

I'm pretty sure at this point the OP is mainly talking about Gold Jewelry mats. Then again it'd be nice if people like you, who claim to have stacks sitting around, would list them at not so bank breaking prices. The average joe player doesn't have millions lying around collecting dust, I've seen many players say they emptied almost their entire balance just to gold out some gear.

Yeahhhh and when I *do* try to farm, popular areas have been bled dry from farmers like this....

Mostly jewelry, but I liked previous iterations of the game where gold mats were easier to acquire before the trade guilds and community put a damper on solo play.

I think its very unnecessary to gate basic things like upgrade mats behind an entire trade system.

Id like to see them become easier to acquire.

I would like to know what previous iterations your referring to. Gold improvement items have always been up there in costs. And it wasn't trade guilds that have done anything regarding that. The game has always had a group based endgame. Whether its pvp or pve

Not everyone cares about vet content or wants to bother with trials.

Their comment was not related to trials in any manner. They merely stated the what Zos has said the intend with jewelry crafting.

And trials vet content is where gold jewelry drops.

I said I dont care about trials. So I do not care if it cheapens the perceived "rewards" of trials.

I also said I dont care about what others do.

But again, that has nothing to do with the statement you quoted.

Further, you can get it from doing writs and as the comment you quoted indicated, Zos does not want it to be as easy to upgrade jewelry as it is to upgrade armor and weapons. It really is that simple.

Theyre terrible at making money, it would bring more people in and get rid of the bloody bots.

This makes no sense. It seems Zos is making pretty good money.

Unless you are complaining because you do not make good money from selling gold jewelry matts, which seems to be what you are talking about, then I would like to point you to the OP and title of this thread. It is not about jewelry crafting gold matts itself but gold upgrade matts in general.

No, I want a drop increase so I can gold out my gear in a sufficient and timely manner.

Why though? The only reason to gold gear is if your into endgame group content. The stat increase is minimal. Also ZOS did boost the drop rate. You just have to complete top tier daily crafting writs to get it. Also those writs if planned properly only take a few minutes per character. I can easily go through an entire roster within a reasonable of time

No, I want a drop increase so I can gold out my gear in a sufficient and timely manner.

and that is not an issue. I easily obtain enough gold matts from running 4 characters through writs and I probably get a little bit from the hirelings on each one. Ofc, in that I end up getting a bunch of raw matts via surveys that provide the bulk of the gold upgrade matts. It is really fast to do this.

I tend to keep 500 of each type of gold matt and sell the surplus. When I upgrade new gear (obviously on demand) I find I quickly get back up to 500 matts. Of course this does not include jewelry but as I stated above Zos has JC setup to be less common.

I keep multiple characters in gold gear so this would work well even if you have only one character. Of course it takes time to build up a storage of gold matts but wanting anything easier would seem more like entitlement.

Your process is too bloody much time for upgrades.

We should be able to go farm for a few hours and be done with it.

If I work 8 hours in a day, sleep another 8 thats 16 hours. That leaves me 8 hours in a day, Im not spending all of that time grinding gold upgrades. Thats craziness.

They're already ridiculously easy to acquire, even for a strong, independent solo player who don't need no community.

So frequently I feel like I spend more time grinding for mats and new gear piece then I do actually getting to use them for end game content. Every quarter the rat race just starts over. I get MMOs are loot driven, but that shouldn't feel like the entire game cycle is built around getting the gear to spec. Most of the cycle should be using the equipment after it is there. In my opinion.

This has been one of my concerns as well with the constant, drastic changes. Often the changes mean my orange suits are now garbage on more than one toon. This is extremely costly when it's every 6 months or so due to the heavy change. Idk if that's what you meant, but its how it looks to me :P ignore if it doesn't.

Well I have about 4 to 6 hours of playtime max and I still find the time to farm and get my own and improvement items. Enough so that I still have leftovers to sell to other players. So I really dont see a problem with the general drop rates, except for jewelry, and they will address that at some point but to be honest I wouldn't expect anything until 2020 at the earliest

On average its not even a whole hour per day, and with how boring ESO is atm its the only thing that I log on for, pre-investing time for future patches.
If you wanna have everything and do nothing for it (ingame) either spend real money and sell crowns or just go play on the PTS :) youre gonna have an infinte supply of gold materials there without ever having to do something for it.

IDK, 18 chars crafting writs is like 45 minutes a day, crafting surveys I do like once a month which take an hour and listing stuff and checking traders for good deals takes me 5 minutes a day max.

Sounds like you are describing household cores not a gaming experience.

If youre looking for a genuinely good gaming experience in ESO youre wrong here anyways.

Aye, its the constant and abrupt changes. I just wanna get my upgrades and move on to what I enjoy.

New patch, new gear. Can we get an increase for gold tier drops for the solo player?

Mostly jewelry, but I liked previous iterations of the game where gold mats were easier to acquire before the trade guilds and community put a damper on solo play.

I think its very unnecessary to gate basic things like upgrade mats behind an entire trade system.

Id like to see them become easier to acquire.

They're already ridiculously easy to acquire, even for a strong, independent solo player who don't need no community.

If that's too hard you, well, tough luck.

Im thinking like a solid 10:1 ratio. My time is bloody precious.

If your time is so precious, maybe you should buy crowns, sell them for gold and buy the mats in no time.

Playing the game should be the norm for getting there, not being a wallet warrior.

And it is the norm. And it doesn't take any ridiculous amounts of time some people are saying in this thread.

Do you not read? I want an increase in drop for gold upgrades for raw materials. Yes, it does take an insanely long time.

I guess people here are unemployed or have no life outside of this game.

I also guess time management is hard for some, hell if I know.

Salaried 50 hours a week min, teach people how to fix nuclear power plants. I also rehearse for dinner theaters in the evening, typically 6 to 8 hours a week. I still find time to play and have made myself pretty darn rich in this game.

I think you might need to work on your time management.
