You can nerf vigor when you nerf rapid regen. Both are equally as strong. And don't give me the dumb reasoning that "Hur dur i need restro staff hur dur" when every stamina player in the universe needs to slot 2h. Especially with new 2h ulti and new executioner. Oh, I can already see people who will say "but 2h has a better skill line, uhhhhh it has an execute, uhhhhhhhh it has strong offensive ultimate" yeah, what about restro giving the best restoring heavy attacks in the game (which also gives major mending), healing ward and a pretty damn good defensive ulti?

If you really compares resto to 2H for a DD role backbar, then we have few to talk about.

In PvE in anyways you will slot bow as backbar. So a fair DW/bow DD will get plenty of DPS and still be able to slot a great selfheal (and range DPS for those who talk about range). A mag character slotting Resto will have just one less bar for DPSing. And considering the new skills, every skill slot will be really, really needed.

There is already enough gap between stam and mag toons to widen it up using a Resto backbar...

Sorry I was talking about PvP, though I didn't feel like I needed to specify it.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

If Vigor was tied to a specific weapon, you'd have nearly every Stamina player going nuts about the restriction. So just consider that when you keep saying that Magicka have rapid regen.

Yeah no stamina in the builds have ever been restricted by a single weapon line which gives the best form of major brutality and a good heal / snare removal and now has a stronger execute and powerful burst ultimate. Oh wait.

Wow. All that dps from one weapon, the ability to choose whatever other weapon you want freely, and no restriction on heals or major evasion from Shuffle. Sure would be nice to have Resto offer some dps....

What are you on about? Restro is good because of the utility and healing it provides. Every well balanced build needs those two things. Also might I point you to class based skills? The majority of them are magicka.

If Vigor got restricted to a weapon line then all classes should get a serious stamina scaling self heal. Vigor exists in part because that's not true.

Most magicka class ult or not used because :
    - Can be way to expensive on a dps
    - Most heal the lower target around
    - Self-Magicka heal scale on HP so their useless for DPS.

Heal of magicka class often come from DPS skill like Surge, Burning Ember, etc..
Stamina got heal with weapon line : Bloodthrist, Bloodcraze, Rally, etc..

In my opinion, every heal who is not a dps-skill effect or hp scaling should be link to a specific weapon skill line or have a different healing stat than weapon/max resource.
DPS should not be able to heal easily in any way.
And yes, A stamina healing weapon skill line should exist to add diversity to healer.

    That just my point though.

What are YOU on about? Your the one saying that “if they nerf vigor, they should nerf rapid regen” But they are not equal when you must use a Resto staff to access it. Many magicka builds don’t want to be forced to use a Resto staff for pve or pvp. The utility and healing it provides? Lol.

Vigor deserves 67% nerf like Healing Ward got.

    Don't @ me!

No. It doesnt. Healing ward gets a massive shield plus a heal. And an accompanying staff that grants major vitality on cast for 3 secs. When my vigor does all that. Sure. Yours was healing 13k a sec in pvp.

Lmao what? Give me a single viable build that heals for 13k heal ward ticks a sec in pvp (it doesn’t even tick every second iirc lol). It hardly ticks for 5k with a br resto now, meanwhile vigor crits upwards of 3k, isn’t tied to a weapon line, is cheaper, comes with stamina which has a way easier time sustaining with heavies than mag, etc etc.

I don’t wanna say vigor is op, but your comparison between the two is just ignorant lol.

It was increased to counter the new dot buffs that have the tooltips like 30k over 10 seconds. If you have 3 or 4 of those on you with the old vigor... good luck.

All of these posts and so few taking into consideration that stam healing is taking a huge hit. Stam healing is already getting nerfed with the removal of the RALLY HoT!

Reducing the new Vigor? Ok, but ..... IF VIGOR IS TOO STRONG THEN REDUCE IT AND PUT THE HOT BACK ON RALLY!

Yea, I think the new self heal vigor’s okay. In the context of it lasting 5 seconds, mitigation’s down and damage is up people will need the extra healing.

If it was live I’d be surprised, in the context of all the damage changes on PTS it’s probably okay.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab

Correct. And also means to compete on mag-whatever you have to add additional dots to the mix next patch.

The argument magicka has no healing skill comparable to vigor.

    List: magicka heals
    dragons blood and morphs
    Burning embers
    Flame lash
    Cauterize
    Inhale and morphs
    Surge and morphs
Unstable clanfear (deals damage as well)
Twilight matriarch (deals damage as well)

    Bitter harvest and morphs
Render flesh and morphs (applies a defile on self tho)
    Life amid death and morphs
    Spirit mender and morphs
    Restoring tether and morphs(no cost)
    Restoration staff skills

    List:stamina heals
    0 class skills costing stamina
Warden has a stamina heal and a magicka skill that heals off light or heavy attacking and necromancer has a free heal although it’s attached to needing a corpse
    Vigor
Rally (burst heal base) hot was removed so base and other morph no longer heal
Blood thirst morph (heals on final hit for % of damage done)
    Blood craze
Absorb magicka(must be hit by a projectile)
    Draining shot
    Ring of preservation(aoe hot)
Blood altar(costs health but synergy gives a burst heal and dealing damage provides healing)

The claim vigor is too OP yet it’s clear to see magicka has a lot more access to healing as compared to a stamina dps. Sure a stam character can use their mag pool and use some class heals but depending if pve or pvp decides if that is a viable option.

Soothing Spores is a stamina class skill that heals and costs stamina. There's quite a few of your magicka-costing listed heals that scale with both stats as well, I suggest you look over your list once more. Remember that stamina has access to their secondary resource being used for such things unlike magicka. Whilst magicka does have more "bursty" class healing skills, it is also trapped to 2 weapons, unlike stamina. I think in terms of self-healing and damage mitigation, coming from someone who has extensively played both magicka and stamina, each is powerful in its own means and playstyle. That does not mean, however, that stamina is weaker than magicka. I'd argue that, besides shield stacking specs, stamina is far tankier than magicka with a much less of a sacrifice.

Your list is very biased. First, many listed magicka heals are class skills and therefore only a few of them are actually aviable in one build. Second, you completely ignore class skills that can be used by stam builds just as well as mag builds, because they either don't scale at all, scale of health, or even scale of stam (yes, those skills exist!). And third, you don't take potency of those skills into consideration. Most of these "magicka heals" are much weaker and not "healing skills compareable to vigor" and having to slot multiple skills instead of one in oder to gain the same amount of actual healing is a huge downside, because bar space is limited.

Amount of skills existing in the game is completely irrelevant and does not tell whether stam or mag has better healing. Quality > Quantity. Can't state this often enough.

Yes I noted when I wrote fungal growth and morphs that one morph was stam based FYI. Yes class skills cost magicka and stam can simply use that for a heal but starting with a dk also uses magicka in pve for a skill FoO using class heal reduces amount of times you can cast FoO in pvp some dks still use wings stam dks also use igneous shield costing magicka to buff vigor a class heal reduces the number of casts. Stam sorcs use surge or one of its morphs but even with the rework tht is being done still requires a crit strike. The dlc classes both have decent heal skills. Stam can use their magicka for heals and ik about stam for mag but you realize dodge block and break free drain a stams main resource yet magicka can still be on offensive when using their off resource.

What is biased is asking for a skill to be nerfed that will nerf every stam build across the board instead of idk maybe asking for magicka specifically class heals to be buffed. I play stam and mag for every class and also have 3 tanks and 3 healers. So honestly I have no biases towards either spec I’m simply trying to break the wheel of mag nerfing stam and stam nerfing mag due to complaining one spec is better than the other

Well skill slots matter, a lot, so listing all those skills doesn't mean squat. I might be wrong, but i think magicka could never get out of 2 skills like stam can from new Vigor + Rally.

I honestly don't mind the Vigor changes. Completely rework Rally and Homogenize all stamina heals to Vigor and let Vigor be really strong. Then work on the play-style of each stamina class variant to make them feel unique. This is a positive thing for all stamina classes in my opinion. Remember we lost Rally HoT. People forget how good a 30 second HoT really is for stamina classes, especially nb since we can dip in and out of cloak. Without that, you gotta be careful.

Sure a stam character can use their mag pool and use some class heals but depending if pve or pvp decides if that is a viable option.

leeching strikes costs stam and restores hp. Also cleansing ritual and morphs scale with max resources

    edit: mobile f***ed everything up

+ death scythe morph as a stamina option
But I don't see the point of this list, doesn't change the fact it heal 20k+ in 5sec.. (w/o crit, can be 30 easily)

So still less than Breath of Life in 2s. Hope I dont have to explain why this tooltip e-peen showing is stupid.

Do I really need to explain why BoL isn't as reliable and powerful for a DPS than vigor ?
Plz, read again or use your brain, it start to be tedious..

So vigor and medium armor are garbage after 5.1.4, are you happy now? Ridiculous how the same person who created this thread considers magplar on PTS as too weak (which is hands down the strongest class on PTS right now).
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

This is what happens. Zos makes dumb changes and then people ask for nerfs. You never ever ever ever ask zenimax for nerfs. This is the result.

Sure you could get crazy high tool tips but when it comes to this video this is a DK. Major mending, vitality, healing passives, whatever else hes doing to get it higher. They already have good healing. My vigor tool tips are always highest on my stam dk, I think I got it up to around 25k a few patches ago with ravager and another set. But not all classes are like that.

The ability should have been adjusted but now its worse off than it was. And when something isnt in a good spot, or is the only option that people have (like vigor is for an aoe stamina heal for most players) then it should never be changed in a negative way. Especially if they arent going to add more options but instead nerf the other options we have. Or even when it is in a good spot. No one asked for a buff to vigor, not unless they were buffing damage (which they did lul). It was a welcomed change but not a nerf.

But this guy will be running 7th and fury so hell be good to go. As for us medium players we are in a bit of a different spot.

The big problem is 90% of people aren’t capable of pushing their class to a place where they can accurately assess what is OP and what isn’t and don’t have enough experience across a wide range of classes.
