Can anyone post an image of the new vma bow? Now that endless hail is 1sec instead of .5 i was wondering how the set bonus changed.

    The Thunderous Volley bonus was doubled. if you go to notes and Ctrl F thunderous youll find it.

    If you scrolled down in the pts notes, they stated they doubled the damage and rounded the numbers slightly so it has the same damage multiplier as before, but Endless Hail duration was increased by +2s, so you get 2 extra ticks vs live for the set bonus, kinda offsets some of the dps loss.

    Messes with stam rotations, instead of 12s, it's really 14s (due to Volley delay), trap is 18s, Razor Caltrops 10s or Anti Calvary Caltrops 15s.

    From the notes:

    Thunderous Volley: Increased the damage bonus of this set to be nearly double the original value, since Volley and its morphs only tick once every 1 second, instead of every half second. The values are slightly less than double, since they are now on prettier numbers.

    Haven't done the math but it seems to be not worth slotting for anyone without the bow but still viable with vma bow

    What about arrow barrage? Is it not worth it even though it seems like it got a 20% buff? Or is it too much to sustain? I know testing just started so just trying to see what some people have been testing so far.

    Just tested it, same setup as live, hail has lost roughly 3k dps with a VMA bow

    Have done the math...the bow alone took a 14% nerf.

    For ST Fights and parses Masterbow oout dpses the vMA bow by about 2k DPS.

    For AOE vMA Bow + Barrage is the highest DPS option, however when struggling with sustain you can swap to Hail instead of barrage, and loose bout 5k DMG over a 24sec Period (about 220 DPS) (3x Barrage vs. 2x Hail)

    I think that the PTS is cutting hail off 2 seconds early. The tool tip shows 12 seconds but the skill itself only seems to be going for just over 10

    Yup, have to wait for the fix. I think that, while hail itself is nerfed, the vMA bow is actually buffed compared to live. And since it's a flat bonus on top of Hail, I think that Master bow shouldn't suddenly start outperforming it.

    Yup, have to wait for the fix. I think that, while hail itself is nerfed, the vMA bow is actually buffed compared to live. And since it's a flat bonus on top of Hail, I think that Master bow shouldn't suddenly start outperforming it.

    overall the vMA bow lost about 14% dmg compared to live, when using Hail as skill (not including the skills dmg,)

    So like. Can we all agree... this is a good thing.

    vMA bow in all its tyranny - and bows in general - are or where a required pick for backbar stamina DPS, regardless of class.
    EU: Magden, Magknight, Stamsorc(*2), Magsorc

    It looks like you're just calculating the damage added per tick. Old volley ticked twice as often so you would need to double its tick to find how they compare in average damage added per second.

    It looks like you're just calculating the damage added per tick. Old volley ticked twice as often so you would need to double its tick to find how they compare in average damage added per second.

    That's why I'm multiplying by 21 tick for live, right?

    you made the mistake to not take the ammounts of hits per second into account.

    while the new hail hits once per second, the old one hits twice:
    heres a picture from the excelsheet I've made for the math.

    The Difference / cast, only for the vMA bow, not including the skill is 16317 on old vs 14170 on the new bow, both over the duration of endlesshail respective to their patches

    No problem, did this excel sheet like 5times till it was to this stage.

    the douuble tick / second makes the difference here in favour of the old vMA bow (skill realated ofc)

    yes and no, in AOE fights and bossfights with adds or minibosses there vMA will shine in overall DPS

    if you only focus on a Single Target like the Serpent Endboss in vSO, there Mastersbow might be stronger.

    You’ll still want to use hail to proc your enchants on cool down.

    The Vma bow buff seems like it might be slightly higher than master bow with single target DPS when there are full stacks of hawk eye and some distance between you and the target, like you would have with a Bow/Bow build.

    Otherwise I like the master bow since I don't have to wait for the endless hail to land. I can rearrange things onto the front bar and have higher uptime with the precise trait. The rearranged build deals almost the same DPS as live with all the trials survival kit In place.

    this plus poison injection nerf that nobody talks about, yeah, seems like bow tyranny will end. or youll be expected to have vma bow in every pve content.

    on Live:
    +260% In execute: 1 damage increases to up to 3,6 damage

    On PTS: + 78% on all dot ticks, +100% in execute
    1,78 damage increases to up to 3,58 damage

    You barely lost anything in execute while gaining a lot above exeute threshhold....
    What nerf are you talking about?
