I'm certainly not against some nerfing of the damage-oriented heavy armor sets, but Heritance was made utterly worthless for both PvP and PvE.

I've said it other places, but 7th change is ok... it just needs a small adjustment to the duration (15 seconds). Otherwise it's a brawler stamblade only set (assuming it procs off their passive).

4 of my PvP stamina builds used Seventh Legion, one of them was even a Medium Armor build, but honestly I'm not too bothered. I think I'll stay in Heavy Armor (on my StamDK at least) but I'll switch to Hunding's Rage and throw an Infused WD trait on one of my rings. It's about 200 less WD, but I'll have a bit more crit and the WD is present all the time instead of being a proc. It's not that big of a deal imo. Average WD won't change by too much, except when you're in the middle of an AoE or DoT heavy fight.

My StamSorc will probably switch to Medium Armor with 1 or 2 protective traits since it might be much better with the buff to Shuffle.

Seventh might be good on Brawler NB and Sorc maybe, but the other two sets are pretty much dead if they go through with the changes. Ravager would probably only be good on StamNBs.

Will Surprise Attack proc Ravager? What about a Crusher enchant? Maces/Mauls? Mark Target?

Interested to see how the stacks work. Like, say you're on a NB with a 2H Maul frontbar with a Crusher enchant. If you Mark Target-->LA-->Surprise Attack->LA ..., do you hit max Ravager stacks and gain 500 WD?

Or can you even just cast Mark Target 4 x to pre-stack Ravager before engaging?

I like the fact that I can now proc Seventh on demand on my StamDK with Stone Fist or Volatile Armor offensively instead of waiting to take damage defensively. Yeah lost 150 weapon damage but one glyph will make that up.
On my Stamsorc hurricane will proc it.

Yeah I'm interested to see if my gold ravager stuff that's been banked since murkmire might be usuable again lol.

I've seen a lot of people say this about stamsorc, but honestly I'm not even considering it for stamsorc because the duration of 10 seconds directly conflicts with the duration of hurricane (15 seconds) and it's increasing damage. I know it's still usable, but the anti-synergy between the set and the ability doesnt work for me. It would be a solid choice if the duration was 15 seconds.

Going by the pts notes, mauls shouldn’t work because they do not reduce the target’s resistance - they don’t apply a debuff.

You're all missing the point of 7th, which ZOS buffed. Back bar it. Activate as part of your rotation with up to 100% uptime. Use a +129 weapon damage piece or Master DW or Asylum 2H on the front bar.

I hope to. Have you seen the changes to DW's Dagger. The bouncing dagger alone can give up to 3 interrupts of casting per throw. I literally can not wait to unleash that on mag toons.

I wasn't talking about the old version at all, I was just saying the new 7th doesn't work well with hurricane. Hurricane doesn't do much damage until the last 5 seconds, and if your weapon damage drops off when hurricane is hitting it's peak, the ability is partially negated by the functionality of the set. There are better options available.

Most Magicka classes aren't using abilities that can be interrupted. The only two exceptions that come to mind are Dark Conversion for Sorcerers (which they're often going to do either when they have LOS or CC immunity), and Dark Flare for Templars (which is a spell I don't see very often right now in BGs). Other than those two spells, you may occasionally see someone using the Psijic meditate skill, or Snipe when already out of stealth.

There just isn't all that much interrupting going on in PvP most of the time. Is it really better to have 5 seconds of +500 Weapon Damage after interrupting a low level player that's trying to rezz someone in his/her zerg, than it is to have +300'ish Weapon Damage at all times from Hunding's Rage? Or the 100% uptime on penetration from Spriggan's? Or the ~33% uptime on > 650 Weapon Damage from Clever Alchemist?

Veiled Heritance is a downright awful set if the currently listed changes go through.

Ah too true. I was recalling that they'd added cast times to many Ultimates etc. But upon reading the fine print:

"Adjusted the animations and cast times for many Ultimates that are meant to have high impact to better synchronize their attacks to their animations. These abilities cannot be interrupted, ..."

Spamming daggers into a ball group to prevent Ulti spamming would have been to nice a thing.

I have fully golded out sets of Fury, 7th Legion and Ravager, and I'm totally ok with these changes. I don't necessary 100% agree to the changes, but at least I can see why, since it's just a matter of time till these sets get nerfed.

I’m waiting for the testing and then the shouting and then the changes that make it worse on week 2 and 3 of pts

The only thing I’m not keen on with 7th is the health regen I would have liked a heal over the 10 seconds but that’s only because my nightblade that will be running this is a vampire so I will have to wait for the final version

Ravager is a bit confusing I’m guessing without over casting on a single target that it might take about 10 seconds to get to full stack, multiple targets might be within seconds to full stack with caltrops

    if it's a projectile, it'll be reflectable.

too bad they took the stun away, there wasn't anything wrong with it.

I dont think you really get to cry that much.

7th legion was allowed to exist in its old state for WAY too long unchanged. 1200 healing every 2 seconds, 500 wep damage at 100% uptime. It was *** nuts. You got to enjoy it for years, now time for it to die.

From a pve standpoint and actually pvp too, the veiled heritance change has me baffled. It was a nice underrated set for stam builds, where you either didn't have advancing yokeda or were too lazy to change gear all the time. It gave you a nice buff when you used the set as intended, dealing damage. Being an overland set it wasn't hard to farm either.

Maybe it had it's uses in pvp, not sure since I'm not a hard core pvp player, but I would imagine there were better sets which didn't have crit in the four piece slot that would benefit pvp more. Which makes me question why it's purpose was completely changed to be an "interrupt?!?!?!?" set. Interrupts are rare in pve except for very specific instances. I imagine that interrupting is rare in pvp. Maybe someone can enlighten me if i'm wrong.

Anyway, why take a set that wasn't that popular, at least in pve and make it completely useless? I've combed the forums for this answer and haven't found anything.

    *balancing OP sets

The heavy armor meta has been undeniably one of the most significant metas in the PVP scene for years now. This wont remove the meta, but its damn-well a step in the right direction.

Heavy armor sets should not provide more DPS contribution than a full medium or light DPS set.

Nobody's crying mate. Just voicing my opinion as are you. Maybe they do need some changes but the ones to heritance and ravage just seem ill conceived. Seventh is still workable but the others I cant see ME using. Guess we will see when testing.
