Okay, the first time I posted about it some 6 odd months ago, and the first time I received no replies, was fine. Maybe you saw it, but didn't want to respond, for god knows what reason. The second time was a little less fine, but still fine. The third had me scratching my head. The fourth had me getting flustered in pent up frustration. The fifth had me seething in rage. But this, this is an utter joke.
In the last 30 minutes, I have had to endure the 20 minute penalty because of your *** useless group finder, not once, but twice, on the same *** character. I've made multiple threads over the span of the last 6 months, pointing out this bug, but to no avail. Whether you never saw them, despite the fact that I've pinged everyone relevant to the discussion, or whether you just don't give a damn, I don't know. But this is getting to be beyond a joke, and it's seriously making me question how long this game can continue going on for, especially when you consider the other things going on (just look at that thread about PC EU performance, that's just sad).

At this point, you have to be aware of the bug I'm talking about. You have to be aware that the battlegrounds group finder can sometimes fail to find a 3rd, which means the match is unable to start, even if you wait upwards of an hour. If you aren't aware of it, then you're living under a *** continent, because the forums have collectively yelled at you for at least the past 6 months over it.
Both of these images are 23 minutes apart, taken in two different matches (despite the same map and red being the team to not get a 3rd, one was a domination, the other a deathmatch), and I got a bugged match twice in a row, on the same character, forcing me to endure a 20 minute penalty, where I can't play the content I want to play, because of the game's *** up. A workaround for this is so damn easy, literally involving just checking if the match is still in the "finding players" stage before giving a player the penalty for leaving, and yet you can't excuse a PVP dev for 5 minutes to throw 1 line of code in to address an issue that has plagued Battlegrounds for years. I genuinely don't know what to say.
Changing gears for a moment, if we take this gamebreaking bug that has been a problem for years, on top of all the other bugs that have also been a problem for years, then look at them alongside the recent server issues across all platforms, I have two questions for you, Zenimax.
Firstly, to mirror another thread, do you actually care about the state of the game, Zenimax? You are, quote, "killing it", and yet you can't put any resources back into the servers, let alone address bugs more than every 3 months, let alone let a developer have 5 minutes away from the latest shiny to fix gamebreaking bugs. Your blatant negligence has led to probably the worst, period, ever, period bout of performance issues this game has seen in the last few years, if not the game's whole lifespan. So, once again, do you actually care about the state of the game, Zenimax? Because your inaction kinda shows you don't.
Secondly, as an extension of the first question, how long do you think this can last with your blatant negligence, Zenimax? Unless you make some rather big changes, I foresee the game imploding in 6-12 months, as more and more newer players come in causing the servers to be more and more overloaded, and a good portion of the classic WoW community inevitably comes to ESO when the nostalgia wears off. To every player reading this, and to Zenimax, if you think the performance is bad now, imagine what it will be in the next 6-12 months, if nothing is done to remedy it.

It's locking me off from doing the content I want to do, especially when I get it back to back like this, so therefore it is gamebreaking. Just as gamebreaking as "somebody declined the invite" bug.
Downplaying bugs like this is also not a good thing, and I feel is part of the reason Zenimax can continually get away with it. This bug is destructive to how I play, it should be looked into ASAP.

Fairly often. But, again, downplaying bugs just because they're not common is not a good thing, and we should stop doing it. It's a serious bug that needs attention, as you said, so we should treat it as no less.

Even if you didn't have a direct response from the devs, we've had official communication on the LFG tool not being "up to standard". They told us they were actively working on it, and I'm pretty sure your problem is one of the things they are aiming to fix. Because it's mostly an issue of how the LFG tool works, right?
I totally understand the frustration, but look, you have something to hold onto, you have official communication on the matter.

I believe they have been promising that for a few years now... Just wake up people! This company has some greedy idiots in charge and they won't allow the dev team to spend resources and time fixing things that a smaller percentage of the population uses. They make new shiny stuff to get new players and older players to buy more dlcs, this is why we get so many each year. Other mmos usually don't get so much new content as ESO lol

Except this is not some endgame specific issue. A lot of people use the finder, they do care, and they are actively working on a new tool, it's not some vague promise.

During prime time hours, it takes close to twenty minutes for my StamSorc to get a match. My StamWarden averages about 13 minutes to find a match.
I don’t have hours to play, so I figured I’d dust off my MagDk and MagPlar. Takes them a 3-5 minutes to find a match. Sometimes instant.
I get this MMR idea, but it’s just fvcking up the limited amount of time I have to play. Sorry ZoS, I can’t play 6-8 hours a day.
Every team is full on ps4 and queues are no longer than 3 mins usually...

Time is a valuable resource, even more than money. Imagine what would happen if all the complainers realized this? They'd play less and the game will start declining. ZOS should do everything in their power to appease their customers, yet lately it seems they are doing the opposite since entering the "big stage." Ir's not surprising to see frustration begin to grow...

It's an annoying bug - no doubt. "Game-breaking" may be a bit of a stretch. What I do when it happens is just eat the penalty and find something else to do for 20 minutes.

It's an annoying bug - no doubt. "Game-breaking" may be a bit of a stretch. What I do when it happens is just eat the penalty and find something else to do for 20 minutes.
What I do when I get the penalty is usually logout lol

Can't really blame u there. I logged out when it happened to me while I was leveling my alt doing battlegrounds as well.

Now I just stopped playing BGs or random normals altogether. They already said they wouldn't make another event before fixing group finder, then they did exactly that. Now their "fix" is to keep click spamming for group finder to work, and if anything goes wrong in BG queue you still get a penalty. At least pve doesn't really have a significant penalty.
