Is there a way to know who I sacrificed? It was 5 years ago after all.

    Did you kept the weapon?

    Most likely I didn't

Heh, I'll find out on my Khajiit, I guess. I'm making them take turns. Lyris hasn't had hers yet and Varen was first.

I killed him so I could have Lyris to myself. Sadly that didn't happen though. Far as I can tell, nothing happened.

The only impact killing him has that I've been able to tell is you get a sword.

If you sacrificed San, you will find out non of your actions and choices have a real impact on the world.
The red choices don't mean squat, except you could miss out 3 skill points at one quest which is probably the biggest impact for a quest choice for some people.

I thought it was 2 skill points.

Is it two, but I find those skill points are never worth foregoing the other result. The Folium Discognitum would be better off being used as fuel for a fire, or as a stop-gap to running out of loo paper.

As to the actual subject matter of this forum, it feels like, to me, that there's awful lot of what appears to be guilt-tripping going on over who sacrificed whom. You know, "the only right decision" and all that. I find this to be the case each time a thread discussing that part of the main quest crops up. There's no right decision, there's no wrong decision. Each of the three want you to pick them, and whichever companion does get sacrificed becomes a part of you, Cadwell suggests, in a rare moment of lucidity. So, in a way, one of them lives on, in the Vestige. *If* there is a right choice, it's really Abnur Tharn, though he is quite a good character, but someone had to complete that ritual to make things work, as he said, and he was the only one who knew said ritual.

I've only ever finished the main story twice, and both times, Sai became a part of my character. Of all the three who'd begged to die, I found Sai's case the most compelling, by far.

Now, considering the recent devopments, it should be noted that Varen says this regarding Sai's fate: "His spirit has been dispersed into the Aetherius. He is not dead, neither is he alive. His essense is outside the cycle of the Mundus."

So, that being said, it really will be interesting to hear how Sai made it, after all.

Yeah, 2 skill points are not worth it, at least for those who want to play as good character. Even I almost max all my crafting skills, I have enough skill points for my combat active and passive.

It doesn't matter because every person you ever helped during the game, doesn't seem to remember who you were towards the end of the game anyways. " let me meet this champion of yours!" Dude, I literally saved your kingdom like 5 hours ago :#

Yeah, some writings are really not necessary. As if NPC and player( especially player ) has amnesia or hit their head recently. For example i met Naryu a lot of time and she recognize me, But every time I has option to ask what organization she joined or ask her are you Morag Tong. *eyeroll*

Sacrifice Sai, it's now a free sacrifice that is Guaranteed to be revived, Profit gets to live a bit and it seems obvious that Sai and Lyris didn't work out as she is no where in that clip

This is not the first time this has happened. I killed Raz in that Reapers March quest. Then he suddenly reappeared without explanation at the end of that zone and continues to hang around everywhere......... just saying.

They teased a “secret” if you did so.

Someone tweeted asking the question and they said you will have to wait and see.

It does sound like if you did this, the beginning will be slightly different and u will go through a quest line maybe the chick he knew during the quest line replaces him

I sacrificed Lyris on my main (For the axe). Guess he's going to be pissed.

Maybe they did something off screen where the prophet exchanges his life for the life of the one you sacrificed.

Lol, he can't even explain why he dumped 20 years of Bosmer lore for a minor PvP tweak, surely there's no explanation for this gaffe coming any time soon, either.

There's obviously going to be an explanation. When the Prophet shows up at the end of Orsinium the conversation he has with the player slightly changes depending on the player's action, addressing how he is supposed to be dead if he was sacrificed.
Whether the explanantion is going to be satisfying/good is another matter entirely.

As for how Sai could be alive if he was the one choosen, he was sacrificed willingly in the name of the divines, in particular Akatosh, a literal divine intervention would not be outside the realm of possibilities. I mean they do do stuff from time to time, as was showcased in Oblivion's DLC, the Knights of the Nine.

There is an explanation. He tells you that he found a backdoor or something iirc.

A better example for a supposedly dead character coming back would be
    Veya
    .

Tho I think it's fair to point out that in both of those cases the player haven't witnessed the death itself, while in the case of the MQ it happened right in front of the player.

They'll say it was Sai's long lost twin brother Groen that took his place to be sacrificed, while Sai was conveniently tied up in Lyris' basement.

But while we are at it
can we have Darien and Leythen back please?

Don’t get too excited it’ll probably just be something like “Oh, {Insert divine or daedric dude’s name here} saw fit to grant me a second chance for my good deeds” or something along those lines.

It was all just a dream,... :D

I can believe twin brother, possibly of the tryhard variety, since we don't see him do anything even remotely spectacular in that cinematic.

Of course, he could just be warming up, and a commander of troops might not be reasonably expected to do quite so much of the fighting.

Remember Abnur Tharn wrote about Sai Sahan, in the Chronicles of the Five Companions? All those Reach warriors killed single-handedly, Sai's a tough act to follow.
