Back in the day a few months after the game released on console. The sword you get for offing Sai was one of the best around. That’s why I chose him, pure and simple.

You know the forum will soon be flooded with angry posts about ZOS breaking lore/immersion by bringing back Sai. Even the Necromancer class announcement was met with outrage over being lorebreaking.

Let's be honest, when forums are not outraged? At this point you can either uninstall now or wait to see how exactly they break lore and then uninstall (or not). I'm going to wait.

If Akatosh bestow Dragonborn blood to him, then it will make sense and interesting

No it won't; if Sai were Dragonborn it would completely prevent the vanilla main questline - the lack of Dragonborn is a good chunk of the problem. That's why Tiber Septim showing up was a big deal - wearing the Amulet keeps the Daedra out, thus no invasion from Coldharbour.

Also being Dragonborn doesn't make you immortal. So it wouldn't even explain how he came back.

SInce we are stuck in the never-ending year of 2E 583, maybe they will pretend that Dragonhold comes before the Main Quest? Plot order is a bit of a mess at this point.

Perhaps Akatosh think Molag Bal invasion is nothing so he did not bestow Dragonborn blood to anyone back then.

And perhaps Dragonborn blood just use to reborn Sai once.

The rebirth of a mortal would require a soul or a body of some sort.

I think both parts are destroyed in the process of the sacrifice to Akatosh. The soul is split, main chunk goes to Akatosh, smaller part gets fused with the Vestige.

Maybe Elsweyr is supposed to happen between rescuing Sai and the end if the Main Quest now?

That being said, I feel like I just watched the first 10 minutes of The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies.

If that's the fact then I guess this new Dragonhold DLC happens right after Coldharbor but before the final battle with Molag Bal
    wonder how that works out
Varen "We must finally defeat Molag Bal meet me at the Harborage"
Sai "yeah about that me and these Dragon Guard guys gotta go to Pellitine to help save the Vestige and Abnar Tharn so peace out old man"
    Varen "WTF"

the lore ESO gets more complicated all the time there's only so much that can be hand waved away I hope if you sacrificed Sai Lyris comes to your rescue instead that would be amazing and the trailer we see is just for visual effect and to hype everything up.

o well I sacrificed Varen so this doesn't ruin my immersion one bit.

I hope they have modified the main quest so you can no longer sacrifice him then. The decision didn't really have much impact anyway. Prefer lose an option than cause a head scratching moment for new players.

That, or have a really good explanation of how he has survived for those that sacrificed him.

If the canon is now that the 'prophet' was the one that was sacrificed, make that set in stone, remove the choice to avoid confusion.

    Maybe.
But knowing ZOS and the complications of different players choosing different people to sacrifice, it’ll be likely it’ll be explained away in one line of dialogue when you first speak to him, they’ll be an option on the dialogue with your guy saying “Sai? What happened? I thought you were dead” then Sai Sahan saying “Yes, but {insert one line explanation here}” and it’ll never be brought up again.

This is Soi Sahan, his lesser known twin, who has taken his brother's name to honor his deeds and carry on his legacy.

If you sacrificed sai, perhaps necromancy brought him back? I sacrificed varen, fitting that the emperor sacrifices himself to take down a daedric prince. Like Martin.

Perhaps, however the planemeld predates you by quite some time. Sai had been captured for years.

And yes by reusing caracters they mess up more and more.
I found that you could not start The Tharn speak with the prologue active :)

I have the prologue active & have done The Tharn Speaks on one character completely, picked it up on two more.

I would also like to see Darian again.

I sacrificed the Prophet, not because I liked the other two better but simply because the whole thing was started by him AND he was already dying. He righted (as much as he could) the wrong he made by attempting to become something he was not. That said though, when my hubby found out Sai was returning he said, "People love that guy, I wasn't really impressed with him."

Would be doubly amusing if it were Lyris.

Seriously though, that's about what I expect. As much as I love the freedom of 1T, it really messed up the story and these inconsistencies with continuing storylines muddy the waters even further.

I'm wondering if Sai returns if he was kept alive, Lyris if he was sacrificed and I'm kinda hoping both he and Lyris come back if you made the only right choice and sacrificed Varen.

I just finished the Covenant quest line where do you get all your Darien stuff from? And I’ve finished the MQ from AD’s perspective 3 times...

Anyway, on Sai, I’m sure they’ll do a time heist and make some other really great character decide to jeopardize all of time and the universe to make a selfish decision to play house and white picket fence. You know, something easily explainable like that.

If they had the option for Lyris or Sai to turn up in this role then it would solve all of the problems.

If you sacrificed Sai then Lyris turns up.
If you sacrificed Lyris then Sai turns up.
If you sacrificed Varen then both are available and maybe you get a choice of who you would prefer to work with (or both).
