    You named it : cities.
Not everyone lives in a city. That's the point.
I have recently moved from a small city (no fiber, but still VDSL2, 30Mb/s) to a small village. While it is rather close to a bigger city, it's still a village, and now I have 4Mb/s. No Stadia for me. (But space, nature, landscape, etc.).
I'll keep fighting for better internet (it's considered "public service" here in France, but there's a lot of fight between the government and the private companies such as ISP, etc... about who has to pay what for the infrastructure investment). I'm afraid, however, that until all current generation of inhabitants (mostly over 70) are gone (which, obviously, I wish to be as late as possible for their sake) and a new generation has moved in, there won't be a major change in broadband quality.
Even knowing that services like Stadia won't be accessible to me anytime soon, I still think such services are a fantastic development for everyone in the future, and will revolutionize the way we play together and build up communities around gaming (or other aspects of life/work, but we're talking Stadia here, hence gaming).

    Stadia is a joke.

Stadia is a streamed console with insanely high bandwidth requirements. Even the free 1080 service won't be usable for vast numbers of people who don't have 20Mbs. Yes, you read that right:

Lots of people live outside the major cities in the US, nor is the US the only market in the world.

If they allow account transfer from console to Stadia on launch, I'm in.

Can you tell me where these announcements are?

There have been only 2 official announcements from Google regarding Stadia so far, the rest is comment and/or speculation.

The 1st one was on March 19th at GDC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7hc4R8JAJY
The 2nd one was on June 6th https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-BbW6zAjL0&feature=youtu.be

Maybe we'll know more at E3.

Well, that was thoroughly disgusting. Pretty much confirms the fact that Google is the cancer of the internet.
The only redeeming feature is that whoever will take the bait and release for Stadia (let alone exclusively) and thus help Google to suck players will eventually be at mercy of Google and it will have none.

What is really disgusting is you using the word cancer. You are worse than what you claim. Is Google killing people? Is Google making people suffer? I am sure if it wasn't for Google you wouldn't be using or having the luxuries you have.

Me sensitive? Or you just ignorant? I guess it's both. I hope you never have to deal with it.
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

    ??? Care to elaborate ???
I know there are many things one can hold against Google in general, but Stadia in particular... ? What do you think is so bad about it ?

I think it is classic Google pitching candies in exchange for helping it fill a gap in mass surveillance and take over videogambling while at it.

Instant access is hands down killer feature that will make it difficult to compete for both not streamed games (or versions of games), because they do not load, let alone download in under 5 seconds, and alternative streaming services, because they will not be one click away like Stadia games on Youtube, in Chrome.
Cross-platform play, in combination with the above ease of access, will make spending money on native ports less efficient than ever, because most players on platform X will load games through Google anyway (if they are still on that platform at all).
What Google did not pitch during the presentation, but every corporate overlord in the room was surely thinking about all the time is "okay, but will you give us a hint when a whale logs in? will omniscient Google tell us how to and how much milk it"? That is the ultimate candy and if Google is pitching that behind the scenes, Stadia is going to snowball.

So, assuming Google can (?) deliver without crippling lag, Stadia games will largely displace, not complement other games, in which case problems of games depending on some central servers, like:
    - that they can be shut down by developers, even games that would otherwise be impossible to shut down, because they would run on player's computer
    - that they can be shut down by Google, even ...
    - that they can be updated/degraded later, e.g. by adding or expanding microtransactions, even games that would otherwise be immutable, by virtue of running on player's computer, out of reach
    - that it is not possible to create mods, emulators or remakes without 100% rewrite
    - that Google can spy on players and due to the above, it is impossible to interfere
    - it can even insert ads
    ...become pretty critical.

In general I like the idea of Stadia. The idea to be able to just send a friend a link to the game and he can instantly join it via Stadia, is great to bring more players to the game or even friends.

Especially for games like Baldurs Gate 3 this could be pretty amazing. For ESO I expect there will be mixed feelings within the player community, even because of eventual lags, etc.

I think the problem at the moment is, that most of us can't really imagine how Stadia will work together with ESO. The fact is just that you need a good internet connection (10-35 MB/s) to enjoy this new feature.
