My guys are getting close to 30 and i've yet to unlock ANY of the summonable minions besides blastbones, which is bugged and does no damage

They are pretty underwhelming. I tried them and after a few times I never used them again.

I made a necro to check it out and i wasnt enjoying it tbh, not because the class is bad, but because the playstyle is not my thing. ive had my 1 nightblade character since console release and thats what im used to. I got the character to level 16 before i decided to delete it.

I felt like the necro skills are more for support (which isnt my thing).

The Flesh Colossus ultimate looks absolutely sick though! And is the best ultimate.

Suitable for some, but not for me.

MagNecro has nothing of which is important in PvP:
    • MagNecro has NO class execute.
    • MagNecro has NO class mobility.
    • MacNecro has NO class shields.
    • MacNecro has NO class invisibilty.

If you want to play sitting duck with buggy skills, play a MagNecro.
If you want to play competitively with usefull skills, play a StamNecro.
Playing Magicka sucks more with each chapter.

I love the necro so far. I made an Argonian healer (lots of potential with names this way) and I also plan to make a magicka Khajiit because of it being Elsweyr. And maybe a tank. Really, I've been enjoying this new class more than the Warden when it was released.

I almost think that analyzing it too deeply (why it's fun) could take the fun out of it. :P I would say I enjoy the skeleton/bones/corpse theme, and I enjoy the fact that there are viable class abilities.

I have only done PvE with the class so far and have no experience whatsoever on the PvP side. I will say I read in several places that the healing doesn't feel very different but to me for whatever reason it is different enough to feel fresh and I'm enjoying it. So... if you are curious and mostly play solo my guess is you'd get enough enjoyment out of the quests and the different abilities to make it worthwhile.

Really good death knight class. Wade in with heavy armor spamming that scythe. Go evil Templar on their butts.
"Never go in, miss. Never say a prayer at its door. If you are angry, do not seek revenge by the Laughing Maiden Stone, or at the threshold of the Tombs. There be those who listen for oaths and vows...What may be said in innocence and ire becomes flesh and blood in such places."

I've always wanted a shadowknight type character so it's the theme that's making it fun for me. Stamina dk was the closest but actually having a 2h warrior who dips into death magic, heals, dots, some class based range works for me.

MagNecro has nothing of which is important in PvP:
    • MagNecro has NO class execute.
[ Don’t need it, you passively gain really high crit chance in execute ]
    • MagNecro has NO class mobility.
[ Not meant to be mobile. Corpse tethers deny melee fighters from getting close to you ]
    • MacNecro has NO class shields.
[ Class has lots of healing we don’t need more shield spamming magicka classes, again don’t need it ]
    • MacNecro has NO class invisibilty.

If you want to play sitting duck with buggy skills, play a MagNecro.
If you want to play competitively with usefull skills, play a StamNecro.
Playing Magicka sucks more with each chapter.

Only problems imo are the lack of major brutality/Sorcery in class and major fracture/breech being tied to a ground dot.

Even magicka is more of tank than a healer, debuff fun with resto . Needing the dead to heal at it best relies on preferably not your team dying when your res is down. stam dps is pretty typical just the shizz has a different skull face, except the current obnoxious bash. all just my probably doing it wrong scrub opinion.

the rotation is pretty unique and satisfying. i'll definitely level mine to 50 but i don't think i "love" the class or anything. i feel it's missing a few things like built in major sorcery/brutality and is a bit incomplete.

It is not fun to play at all. Try to remember any single necromancer you faced in game, the armies of unded guarding them, ready to attack you. Even the weakest ones had their cohorts. And then there is you... you can throw a skull and summon a skeleton for 15 seconds.... a necormancy school drop out....

It's fun cause it still has its class spirit. Skills feel enaging and worth picking up. That's till Nerf season starts again

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler please keep class fun.

    My thoughts.

Doesn’t really feel like a necromancer to me. Sure there’s dead stuff but it’s missing the core feeling of a Necromancer. The pets aren’t really pets. They are just abilities disguised as pets. They are incredibly short and you have no permanent summons. They are as much of pet as the nightblades shade thing. This is a pretty common opinion I see being shared. 8-16 seconds ruins the pet feel it should have. Up it too a minute minimum eso..

Stamina is pretty strong and magicka is a hot mess. The diffrence of the two are terrible. I personally feel magicka concept if it needs some serious reworks as they are just worse stamina morphs.

Do I think the class is worth it? Yes
Did eso butcher the idea of what the necromancer could have been? Also yes.
Does the class need a lot of work and changes. Oh yes..

I give it a 6/10 as a class. It’s not terrible, but it feels like it fell short of what it means to be a necromancer and could have been executed a lot better.

I hate to look around for corpse while in combat to cast skill that need it. That should auto use if corpse is in range of skill.

I personally find them to be great Max HP Tanks.

They also have one golden passive that increases their penetration which is OP considering we can already achieve over 15k Penetration using the most commonly used and exploited gear sets for PvP.

They get some damage bonuses to critical as well when certain abilities are being used. Thry can also activate their own synergy which is extrmely beneficial for tanks and healers when using TWILIGHT REMEDY gear set!

    :)

I have a DK and a necro tank, and I think I'm starting to enjoy the necro more.

For trash packs in particular, I pre-cast Beckoning Armor and Spirit Guardian, then run in. Lay down Elemental Blockade and Agony Totem, watch as archers/casters get chained in automatically, and Hungry Scythe as needed (I'm also wearing Leeching Plate). If I feel like turning into a Ravenous Goliath for the lulz, no big deal, as I can use Necrotic Potency and be ready for the next boss fight (Warhorn or Goliath, depends on the group).

Notice that most of the above are class-specific skills. As things stand now, you can put rather a high percentage of those on your bar. Probably will be steamrolled by the We Hate Fun In Games Club later, but for right now, it's rather nice.

Similar thing with stamcro; at the moment, so many class-specific skills are good, it can be hard to find room for the weapon skills you want on your bar. Though from what I hear, PvE bars are going to have plenty of room next patch, since we just need to lay down one DoT and then spam whatever's best...

Second account, CP400+: Breton magicka Warden, Nord Nightblade healer/solo vampire, Bosmer stamina Templar/werewolf, Dunmer magicka Necromancer, Orc stamina DK, Argonian Warden tank
