How are you going to level your necromancer(s)?

My usual method---zone clearing while Qing for the 1 random dungeons and rand BGS per day.

but i really don't see, or feel, characters being powerful until i can equip a monster set and a gold weapon on them.

I'm going to quest through Elsweyr.

Then I'm going to get a bounty for raising the dead in every province of Tamriel, and then I'm going to do the Main Quest.

Burn through lv1-10 farming public dungeon bosses for skillpoints. Then, a slow climb to lv50 in below-50 Cyrodiil and BGs as a mag necro. Unlock each and every different skill as I go, and enjoy seeing what works with what.

If I buy the chapter when its on sale, I'll create a necro pick some gold from bank and park it at stable for riding skill in case I want to try that class some year.

I have 4 level 50 characters and I tend to ignore 3 of them now that they've hit max level because I kind of rushed it with dungeon runs and exp boosters from the daily log in rewards. I think I will refrain from using CPs, food, crafted sets, and so on with my Necro to get a more "back to basics" experience.

I have always wondered about this.

Those of you who have already got max level characters, how do you level up your new ones? Do you skim through the quests because you know them all, or do you still take your time and go through them one by one, reading each quest a long the way?

I ask the above because I only have one max level, and I do want to play a necromancer but not sure how I want to play it yet. On the one hand I have done many of the quests and feel I don't want to go through all of that again, and as in WoW I tend to just go from quest to quest as fast as possible, or do I continue to take my time like on my last character.

Varies. The first four or five I went slow through quests again. Then just sped through for a batch. But then later it had been so long I slowed down again in places.

I will likely play the new chapter first with one of my current characters. Then I'm thinking about playing through the main story and all the dlc chronologically with my new necro.

The companions will have to be crazy to select another necromancer as their fifth companion.

Dolmen grinds until around lvl 30, then I will get bored and promise myself to continue the next day. Of course I won't return to the Alik'r and do dungeons with my friends instead. Eventually we stop and I continue leveling by doing delves to unlock dyes that I don't have yet. At some point I will reach 50. Takes longer than 24 hours but that's usually how my leveling of an alt goes.

From creation to level 15, fast as possible for the bar swap. Probably dolmen run with my last 150% scroll. Then gear him in crafted gear and head out into the world to gather skyshards to put skills in place then go to Elsweyr to begin leveling him the rest of the way through questing and whatnot.

For me the biggest issue in leveling characters is skill points. If I do enough public dungeons, delves, group dungeons (on magicka characters queuing as healers) and so on, character levels usually take care of themselves, all the more if I wait until a double XP event.

Riding skills (speed, bag space) I level immediately.

Craft skills level quickly, through a combination of daily writs (when I'm in the mood to bother) and item breakdown.

But getting enough skill points to level main combat skills, alternate combat skills and crafts is hard.

I'll probably start by joining all the guilds, then take him beach-combing around Khenarthi's Roost a couple of times - xp, basic gear and xp for legerdemain all in one go. Nothing is really dangerous there, so it will give me a chance to try out the new skills as I go.

I plan on making my Magcro my new main, so I'll be doing everything with them. All alliance quests, DLC, chapters, pvp, dungeons, you name it. Been taking a long break ffrom ESO to prepare myself for this. Not long to go!

I'm gonna throw on some training gear, pop some of the xp scrolls that I never use, and then start by doing all the public dungeons in order EP -> DC -> AD -> DLC. Then I'll do all the group dungeons as tank because *** waiting on dps queue. For the Stamcro I will have to do some BG's to unlock alliance skills. By the time I get to 50 I should have plenty of skill points to tell if I want to continue playing the class or make it into a crafter.

There's an area that offers better XP than Skyreach. One of my guildies started 3 weeks ago and with the XP buff is at 400cp. The *** did vMA already too lol
