Upgrading Housing by individual NPC

Hey,

following suggestion of a new aspect for Crown Store and additional housing functionalities, which, once implemented would be fantastic for immersion and also would give ZOS a nice plus for crown purchases.

I would find it fantastic, if I could fill my houses with some NPC, not only Banker or Merchant...but as example service personell but I do not think about fixed types of NPC which can be purchased, like banker or merchant. It would ugrade housing a lot, since even if some people enter a house, it just looks empty and dead without people in there. This is how it goes in my mind:

* Each account gets a limited amount of NPC-Slots in that tab, where u can also see your mounts, hairstyles and so. Lets say 3. Every user is able to increase that slots by crowns (2.500 sounds like it would fit with the current prce politics) up till an amount of 15 slots.

* In each slot a user is able to generate an NPC like in the character editor. Race, Skin Color, Hair and so on just as he wants to. Next to that that NPC can use the costumes which are purchasable in the crown store. This also upps the interest in costumes. In my opinion they are less interesting for me, since the motif system grants a huge variety of awesome gear for my own characters - and since they are fighters/tanks/healers and so on, I wont let them run around in a cook costume. Also bought hairstyles, facial paint and tattoos can be used on that NPC. A next level idea would be - that we could use colors on that costumes for that NPC. Actually it would be also cool to use the clothes you can steal from chests and so on on those NPC, especially since most ingame friendly/village/city NPC use that clothes as well - as a basic function for newbies, which wanna start with it. They have become pretty useless in current situation. See spoiler

* When setting up that NPC into our houses, we are able to give them a loop of actions - max. 3 - also crown purchases are applyable on them then as well + movement of a specific route through house. Like if i set up an NPC in a tavern-like house I could make him play /lute or /drums, an NPC in service personell clothes can clean the floor on one point.....move to another point...cleans there and moves back to first point... -> action + movement + action + movement + action + move back to spot a and restart loop.

I am pretty sure, ZOS has already everything necessary to build this, since those are things, ZOS is doing to create the ESO world anyways. There are NPC playing a loop of activities in individual clothing and optics.

So benefits:

* more life in houses and more attractive houses
* it can make existing crown items more attractive, as example dyes, costumes, actions and personalities
* adds a new income for ZOS on NPC slots
* adds possibilities for more crown items which have a more legit cause then, since they can be used with a wider range, not only by own user characters

    I love this idea.

I am making the Topal island into a resort (The Last Resort) and it has 4 public areas with counters/bars in them (so, already two too many to staff with the existing two NPCs), a restaurant and a luxury apartment.

Plus it has three boats in the sea (including the original boat), which act as taxis to ferry people on and off the island.

There is a fourth one, but it's currently in use (so, in the middle of the channel, somewhere).

Most of this stuff is, currently, unstaffed - I just have the vendor as the gift shop employee and the banker as the bartender, in The Lizard Lounge.

The Aerie, the Serpentine Restaurant, the apartment and the Topal Taxi boats are, obviously, deserted.

Yes, I have named them all... xD

Personally, I would like them to go further with it and to let us earn a living from our furnished houses, by allocating a business type to them (bar, hotel restaurant, shop, museum [+combinations of the above], resort, university etc.) and then them bringing in a weekly wage, as long as we logged in to pay and manage the staff a bit (via a couple of weekly quests).

Then, you would have staff NPCs that you created and dressed (following your idea) and random, game-created NPCs, as customers, wandering about, all the time, using the facilities.

But, even if they just went with your idea, for now, that would still bring life and interest to housing and would be a step in the right direction.

So, that is an awesome, from me.

OP that sounds like a good idea. I would be willing to spend crowns on NPCs if they had features like pathing.

@Tigerseye - Where is your Grand Topal? I would like to see it if it is on PC/NA.

Like the idea a lot, though still would prefer to place alts in homes.
