@ZOS_GinaBruno there have been quite a few changes to Imperial City in this Update, not least the fact that it is now its own Campaign. Will we be able to test an Imperial City campaign on PTS at all before launch? The CP/No-CP balance has been a common reason for wanting to test the new IC as well, but that aside, it would be good to at least test out entering, leaving, rezzing, porting, etc to make sure everything is working as intended.

    Yeah, this is really important. We need to test IC before it goes live. Especially the new methods for entering the City!

    I am also eagerly waiting for the IC test phase.
    The changes ZOS intend will have some interesting result:

    * IC instances will decrease from 4 to 3
    * Boss damage and health will increase (BAD MOVE IMO)

    UNKNOWN
    * if the district system will remain the same in terms of Tel Var bonuses
    * if you will gain AP for capturing flags.
    * if AP will count toward rank.
    * if the spell & weapon damage buff from campaign emperorship will apply, if at all
    * how IC will be entered and exited

    SUGGESTIONS:
    * As IC population and boss difficulty will increase the boss respawn timer needs to decrease from 15 to 5 minutes as nightblades amd gankers will simply check every single boss spawn in the time it takes a small group to drop the boss which is grossly unfair on the Tel Var Farmer.

    * The Tel Var droprate, scamp spawn, flag boss (generals) for the sewers and imperial city needs to be the same as above ground to envourage players to venture below ground. It is ridicilous that a general who is more lethal than an above ground boss only drops 300 Tel Var.

    * ZOS REALLY needs to revisit the decision to make bosses more difficult, making the bosses easier, as in keeping with all other dungeons etc. will draw more players. Making boss harder will just turn IC into a highly toxic stalking ground of elite gankers. At least reward the Tel Var Farmer with more incentive to open themselves up to having to fight a ganker and a boss simultaneously with them dying more often than not

    A HARD MODE / VETERAN MODE IC instance
    * IF IC is its own DLC now then surely there is scope for a seperate instance where the difficulty is significantly higher with increased REWARDS such as double the Tel Var and motifs. This will draw the elite players to it and open the other instances of IC to new, non elite and levelling players.

    It will also have the effect that there are 4 IC servers again thus:
    Non CP below 50
    CP standard above 50
    non CP above 50
    CP standard above 50 Hard Mode

    This most definitely needs testing as Non-CP Imp city is already a brutal and volatile environment on live. The only way to earn meaningful Tel Var is in small scale groups, we need to know if the bosses got buffed too. It is already very difficult to get one rotation around the city without any deaths in no CP.

    I completely agree!! With only one CP IC instance the tel var farming will be horrendous. I would love to see the amount of tel var that can be earned completely equal between sewers and city, this would encourage more players to play in the sewers and would lead to an overall healthier gameplay experience in the IC.

    I just hope we don't repeat scadal that happened with storage boxes. It was previous attempt to help ic.

    While I agree that we should be able to test IC before release, a couple points here have already been addressed in the patch notes:

    -Entering the IC campaign will put you in your alliance’s Sewer base “as if you had entered from Cyrodiil.” I don’t see why they would change that. It seems the cleanest cutoff point to hive off IC.

    -There are only two IC campaigns, per the initial patch notes, not three. There will be CP and non-CP. Unless I missed it somewhere, there won’t be an under-50 IC.

    Of course testing everything is still important, and I hope we do get to see it on the PTS.

    I had not given this much thought when on the PTS but yea. It would seem the new IC campaign should be tested to make sure entering it works fine and how it impacts (from a character level) access to regular campaigns.

    it would seem to have been a no brainer to have this on PTS. As it is they seem to be planning to go live with major changes never tested on the PTS.
