Like others have said, week 5 for the whole event. Let people do what they want to do for all 5 weeks.

    HOWEVER

I’d gate the style pages behind the activities that they’re assigned too, so at no time during the event can you get a Lyris page for crafting writs, you can only get Prophet pages. This way it still encourages people to try out the different aspects of the game and encourages trading of pages between people who specialise in different parts of the game. You’d probably see a lot of Tharn pages being trades for Sahan pages I’d imagine.

Also make the PvP portion of the event actual PvP, so we don’t have to put up with the constant barrage of threads from people who are getting ganked in Cyrodill towns. Get the boxes from the rewards of the worthy (with a limit) and actual PvP quests.

I like the way it is being done this year. The only change I would make so far is the PVP week. Since their has been a few threads about people having trouble trying to do town quest in Cyrodill make it so that you get a box after every random battleground match and not just the quest the battle master gives.
    .
This way PVE people could still do regular PVE quest while waiting for the queue for Battlegrounds. Once in the battleground they would be exposed to fights thus PVP and not just getting attacked trying to do a quest like they do in normal PVE. Just make so you have to come in at least 2nd place to prevent some from even trying.

    So more story?

Story would be great. Something that brings more immersion into Tamriel. When I think of events and festivals, I think of special quests like SWL's Halloween quests w/Baron Samedi or GW2's Mad King's events. Relics of the Gree in SWTOR. Thimgs that really are a change of pace. Jesters and New Life are a start, but I'd like to see them developed more and have something similar for this event.

Huh? Eating cake every day is a problem how?

For me, it adds a layer of PITA to everything. I'm not doing the indrik, so dealing with tickets is useless bureacracy. I eat cake for the buff, but now I'm opted in to managing tickets. I bought the pet during Jesters, so they're useless to me since I don't need style pages-- or actually want them, for that matter. But even though I've let my tix build up to max, I have this annoying, nagging feeling every time I eat cake that I'm wasting opportunities by not cashing my overflow in.

Grind is a separate issue-- you're doing the same stuff you might or might not do regularly for boxes. Over and over. Booooring. Doing writs for week 1 reminded me why I quit doing them. They're dullsville now that I'm financially established in this game. They're also not special OR festive, just like killing bosses in delves for Witches' isn't festive.

It wouldn’t change one bit. See every other PvP related event ever held. Players seem to think they’re entitled to getting rewards the easiest way possible, and anyone who interferes with that is “toxic”.

For the entire anniversary to be like Week 5 so we don't get a repeat of this week.

This would be a good change. That way we players can choose for ourselves what daily quests to enjoy during the anniversary thingy. I'm personally not interested in getting the Indrik mount, so the currency for that isn't something I collect. Though I guess it won't be a five week stint again until the game approaches 10 years...

For the pvp questing event, have a small area around the quest giver (and the door of the ones inside houses). Once you enter the area, you cannot be damaged, be healed or attack. Your stamina/magica/health will not recover, you cannot cast any spells/abilities, you cannot be affected by any outside skills. Everything goes back to normal once you're outside the area again.
Still be possible to camp players by quest givers, but players can aquire/turn in quests if they get into the area. Basically removes the unsporting practice of attacking someone talking to an npc.

Go back to the way it was last year.

Also, it seems like the drop rate may be weighted towards the oldest motifs. If so, reverse that. I don't need any more Glass or Dwemer pages ever again.

Please stop doing things to funnel PVEers into Cyrodiil. It's bad for the PVEers. It's bad for PVPers whose queues are longer. It's bad for factions that can't get anyone to show up to defend a keep even though they're pop-locked. The only people it benefits are lowlifes who get their jollies out of farming easy targets, and it's completely indefensible ever to cater to them.

And, perhaps most importantly, space out the dang events.

I would say the best thing to do would put the PvE and PvP parts of the event alongside each other. During the time when rewards are given for activities in cyrodiil, make the rewards for one of the PvE activities happen at the same time. Don't try to force players out of their comfort zones and into activities they don't enjoy doing by hiding the rewards behind those activities. ZoS knows there's a great divide between PvE and PvP players, so let's have the world boss/delve event happen the same week as the PvP event. At the same time, there's a divide between players who enjoy doing things with groups and players who like to do things alone. As a matter of fact let's make the delve/WB part of the event last the entire time of the event. One week add PvP. One week add crafting and fishing. One week add group activities like pledges and trials. That gives more time to do the delves and WBs so maybe they won't be as crowded. Let the PvP players get rewarded for doing what they love during Cyrodiil week. Let crafters get rewarded for doing what they love during crafting week. Let group dungeon and trial runners do what they love during their week. And let players who don't like to do do any of those things do WBs and delves throughout the entire event. Then you won't have the urgency people feel to do activities they don't like during a limited time, and hopefully the lack of this will keep some of the PvP griefing and kicking out of the dungeon parts of the event. I don't like the contention we have this week, and if ZoS wasn't trying to force PvE players out of their comfort zones it wouldn't be happening. Stop trying to force players to try new activities on your schedule, ZoS! When they feel they are ready, they will try them! But there will always be people who will never ever ever be interested in PvP, crafting, fishing, or grouping. If they want to give different rewards each week, fine. But let people do both PvP and delves/WBs (using my event structure example) to get those same rewards. I think there would still be people upset by this arrangement. "Why is my activity limited to one week while delves/WBs get the whole event?" The answer is because the largest number of players enjoy delves and WBs as compared to grouping, crafting, fishing, and PvP. I don't know. What do you all think?

How would you improve Anniversary event next year?

I wouldn't. I'm not getting paid to do that.
Someone with better qualifications and experience is currently being paid to do that work.

The major problem with this years's events was too many players for an already struggling system.
Existing posters have given suggestions, or taken independent action to remedy the underlying cause of that problem.

You can't fix the Seal-Clubbers in Cyrodiil. This game attracts psychopaths.

Where do I send the bill? After all, I am not a communist.

By improving what actually constitutes a daily other than the scant info that we have regarding week 4 and earning boxes from trials.. people are still asking without confirmation how this will work with trials and also have daily crafting writs as a given for every day rather than the 1st and final week, it gives people choice particularly those with limited playtime.

    On PvP

Make the rewards all PvP related

Have a BG group finder that works - I am fed up of both getting a 20 minute deserter penalty when I leave an instance where my team hasn’t got beyond 2 people for 10 minutes AND being fed to premades. Create a matchmaking system that works.

If the objective is to encourage people into PvP do something to ease the tedious ‘just learn by dying’ experience. Make the tasks and rewards help new players get better at PvP

    Remove PvE from Cyrodiil

Cancel events = less maintenance and more time being able to play the game. I mean the events they hold are grindy as hell and become a chore and what do you get at the end? A hat, a pet, a mount or some other piece of fluff that you don't really need.

I would rather have less maintenance (Event Caused) and more playable gametime, They can up the rewards for logging in during the time that the 'Event' would have taken place.

Just have all possible activities that give reward boxes to happen at the same time instead of each getting there own week.

This has nothing to do with me being lazy and wanting to collect the reward boxes on mass with my writ crafting alts ;)

Have it so that once a motif / style / recipe that is unique drops, and your character / account has consumed it, the drop rate is reduced by 75%.

The problem with these events is guild stores just end up overloaded with garbage. Or give them a vendor sale value of ~1,000 gold. So if they ever fall below 1,000g on the guild stores you can just vendor them.

i dont think the devs are capable of any legitimate effort towards events, they are very lazy, they would rather charge 20 dollars for us to be able to do a competent event

if you need good examples of whats a MMO event, look at other mmos.

it really isnt difficult, as all the other mmos do it

ESO's strong point is voice acting, story telling, lore, etc. the anniversary events should be landmarks in story to prompt whats to come, a simple story quest, simple reward is all they needed

what we have here, is like the worst kind of lazy

But yet, here you are, taking part. The snide dig at the devs is uncalled for too - a lot of people are thoroughly enjoying the Anniversary Event.

Maybe some kind of random events, like dragons flying around base game and dragon fights in base game zones. Perhaps every hour a different zone has a dragon fight. Doesn't have to be all zones. There are some zones that have a big open area to make a dragon fight easier to design. Like craglorn, alikr desert, stonefalls, reaper's march.

I think it would make the game feel adventurous and get people to bring real liveliness to the zones.

I don't think this is really a question that needs asking; next year the Jubilee will likely go back to being a two-week event where any repeatable daily/weekly counts towards the Jubilee boxes, like the event always has been. We won't be seeing five-week long Jubilees after this, considering the only reason it's even five weeks this year is because ESO turned five.

Next year will be six weeks... 😃

    Hopefully!

Unless they make the PvP events require you to PvP, they're pointless. Campaign get full just because there's 100 people running around towns.

They don't PvP, so what's the point? Next year, tie it into the quest boards. Or tie it into the rewards for the worthy boxes like midyear mayhem is. Both would be ideal.

The long double XP is great, its long enough that at least from what Ive seen, the typical grinding areas arent overcrowded. Ive been able to delete multiple characters on different alliances and rebuild them all on the one alliance I actually play. :)
