PTS Update 22 - Bug Reports for Elsweyr (Zone, Quests, etc)

I force quit, but then struggled to connect back to the server. After 4 attempts, I finally logged in again, but my game must not have saved correctly; it returned me to where I started when I first logged into PTS this evening (in Riverhold with finding the Defense Force Outpost listed for my quest).

I cannot teleport anywhere via the wayshrines I can log in but as soon as I use a wayshrine I get stuck in an infinite loading screen. I know I could just not use them, but I was questing and was disconnected and ended up in Glenumbra and I cannot teleport back to where I was questing in Elsweyr.

I found a few more issues tonight. They are as follows:

It appears that mushroom type alchemy materials are unable to be harvest regardless of their location in Elsweyr.

There is a red, runestone glow on the upper part of a mountain above the Tomb of Serpents, but all that can be seen is the reddish glow pouring out of the rock. Images of it and my map location at the time are attached.





Neither the outer city, nor the inner city doors to the Rimmen Outlaws Refuge would allow me entry. I tried entering about 3 times, but each time I tried: it sent me to a generic loading screen without hint text, acted as if it was loading for a few minutes, and then disconnected me from the server, asking me to log in again.

I also cannot enter the Rimmen Outlaws Refuge. Tried 3 times. Each try resulted in 2 load screens and a server disconnect.

I can confirm this too. I also died inside the safe zone on that fight, and the enemy just ignores you when you rez. You have to abandon the quest and start again.

Can not get into the Outlaw's Refuge in Rimmen. It starts to load then kicks me to the Bleakrock Isle load screen then disconnects saying it can't find the server. Others reported the same in zone chat.

The bosses at Red Hands Run (Zav'i and Akumjhargo, at the middle south of the map) despawn when they kill me, and I erroneously received the "Red-Handed Vigilante" achievement for killing them (they still had 99% health).

I confirmed by dying to them a 2nd time, and they both despawned the 2nd time too.

I was on the quest "Battle for Riverhold". I was at the part right after killing the dragon, I turned that in and then got the quest "Talk to Abnur Tharn" who is apparently supposed to be in the room in K'har Zhab Hall. He is not. I reloaded and relogged then restarted the game, nope he's a no-show. Also when I tried to go out of the building I got a Dwemer ruin load screen and kicked to character selection. So I tried one more time to restart the game and see, nope he's still not there, in fact no one is now the room is empty.

Nothing was working so I just abandoned the quest but to be honest I am simply not going to do it all again from the beginning, sooooooooooooooo yeah. Yes that means he's there now offering the quest that begins that chain.

Has anyone been able to complete the Ashen Scar quest? I'm on "The Moonlight Blade" and every time I try to enter the Hidden Moon Crypts I get booted back to the login menu.

During a side quest called Scars of the Past, I get kicked off the server every time I try to enter Cicatrice caverns. I've tried restarting the game(as well as my computer) and abandoning and restarting the quest and I'm still having the same problem.

This is also happening to me, when I try enter the caverns during this quest (scars of the past), I get the caverns load screen, the I hear the main menu music for a bit then finally I get booted from the server. I'm writing this here but also submitting a ticket.

I just tried one last time after submitting a ticket and I noticed that the loading screen is not for the caverns but for the Rimmen outlaws refuge.

Earlier today I sent a bug report about not being able to enter the Rimmen refuge, (kicked from server) the same thing is happening here.

Just thought I'd bring that up here because of the same load screen, could the two bugs be related to each other I wonder.

Found some runestones, ingredients and drops not behaving correctly. Runestones were not highlighted or accessible. Ingredients such as flowers and shrooms were not highlighted or accessible. The biggest notice was the drops times. For example, the torchbugs were giving bug parts but no thorax except every 14-18 chances. Drops (what you get after defeating) are giving low items, example public dungeon I defeated other players the boss and only got 14 coin and yes I worked for it.

Major: Starting the Defense of Elsweyr quest from Rimmen caused a crash and a rollback. My character is now stuck forever on "Requesting character load..." No idea about where to submit bug report so I figured I'd put it here. (moving it would be nice)
Major: Entering Merryvale Sugar Farm Cellar crashed my game and caused a rollback.
Major: The Tangle delve also does not show as completed even after killing the boss. Notably prevents completion of Savior of Elsweyr achievement.
Minor: The Tangle: the south west strangler, on the corridor leading to the boss, grabs you out of the map.
Minor: Abode Ignominy, north west corridor, just before the first room associated to the quest, if you walk a given way you can cross the walls.
Minor: Beware the Purring Liar Quest: for all 3 boxes, R click does not work, one needs to hover over the item and use E.

Other quests/places worked fine for me.

Quest: Bright Moons, Warm Sands (Tutorial)

Bug: Quest stalls at 'Spar with Ma'Jha-dro

Followed the tutorial, talked with Ma who insists I spar with him to test my condition. Asked him if it was the best test and he said yes, but after that he stands unresponsive. Does not spar, cannot be hit, cannot interact with him at all.

Quest pointer points beside him rather than at him.

Would be disappointing if Mai'q is not in Khajiit homeland.

Character creation for the very first time - changing anything from gender to race makes the character model disappear and you can't get it back, save for restarting the game client or logging into any character and out again.

This might have to do with the free character slot being added at this point, because after doing one of the things I mentioned above and trying to create a new character, the model didn't vanish anymore, no matter how often I changed things.

Furthermore, the clothes displayed, when you selected starter gear or champion gear, seem to be randomly selected from one of the new (khajiiti themed) motifs, instead of the actual starter/champion gear.

EDIT: the gear is not random, but rather depends on the selected class. It's still strange to have khajiiti style gear (and not even the standard one) displayed for all races.

Please, if you prefer this method, don't automatically close feedback tickets.
It's really hard to add additional info that might come up during further tests, or even simply add meaningful screenshots, if all tickets are automatically closed. I also can't imagine it to be easy to group follow up tickets together, if they all come from the ingame /bug reports, without any reference to each other.

Tried alchemy with the new ingredients, and this poison is not Minor Sorcery but should be Minor Heroism:



Also that effect of restoring ultimate procs like every 2 poison fire.

If we are at it, both Dragon Bile and Cornflower has effect of Detection, but I'm unable to make Detection-Heroism pot.

Part of the main quest Jode's Core is totally bugged. Can't fight the dragon to complete it. The mobs stop spawning and the dragon doesn't do anything except hover over the other dragon. Tried a couple times, then gave up.

I'm stuck in the ceiling of the doorway in the Star Haven Catacombs. I walked backwards to not be spotted by a NPC and found myself trapped in the threshold of the doorway. Had to port in order to get unstuck.

Defeat overland dragon achievment is not working... done a few now, and still don't have the "kill 1 overland dragon" achievement

I was able to enter Cicatrice Caverns and kill the nereid before starting the related quest "Scars of the Past". Based on the plot of the quest, the fumes inside the Caverns would have killed, poisoned or otherwise afflicted me without the antidote, which you don't receive until part-way through the quest, and killing the nereid is actually the quest's final objective. So I'm assuming it's a bug that I could get into the caverns before taking the antidote during the quest, and also that it's a bug that I could get into the Central Chamber before the quest requires me to.

Enodoc

The zone loading screen, quest journal, and most dialogue refer to the new zone as "Northern Elsweyr". The Map screen and zone entry gates just say "Elsweyr".

BrokenGameMechanics

PTS Patch notes state that Adv Yokeda was fixed to proc correctly from several skills, including from Rapid Strikes.

Ravager, Adv Yokeda (Berserking), Knightmare, Ward of Cyrodiil all proc from "direct melee" damage.

A helpful person tested all 4 of the above sets on PTS and indeed all are proc'd by Rapid Strikes/Flurry EXCEPT for Ravager.

Therefore we have one of two possible BUGS.

Either:

1. Ravager's Set description is incorrect and needs to be corrected to read "direct melee damage."
2. Rapid Strikes/Flurry is not procing Ravager correctly.

The quest markers for Mizzik Thunderboots and Iraya both show the arrow regardless of if you are inside a building or outside one.
