The second best soundtrack/song in the game imo (after the Craglorn/Cyrodiil theme).

Eyes of polished amber, hair swept like a comet's tail
Soul alight with love and joy 'neath pregnant golden sails

    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    Lost in storm and spray
    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    That cruel fate took away

White swan feathers fluttered from her ivory bridal gown
And unsung vows slipped from her lips, eager to be found

    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    Gone beneath the waves
    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    The sea became her grave

The clouds they gathered overhead, ripping sail from mast
The hull creaked like a coffin's hinge as the captain yelled 'hold fast!'

    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    She never made it home
    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    Drowned in brine and foam

The lightning crashed upon the sea, the wind howled with the swells
I strained to reach her glistening hand, but into the depths she fell

    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
Whose last words were my name
    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
I still weep from the shame

Upon the beach I wander still, to gaze out at the sea
Hoping to see her shining face smiling back at me

    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    Lost in storm and spray
    My star-eyed bride of Alinor
    That cruel fate took away

THIS IS VERY TRIGGERING TO ME.

I literally mute my headset every freaking time I craft in Alinor.

I keep thinking his name is some female body part. Sorry, they really should have re-thought that name. :o

    I.... umm.... what?

I think I only did some deconning in Alinor once, but when I did I was specifically searching for this pesky NPC to see what people complain about, and he wasn't anywhere to be seen. I have run the delve quest but not main quests. Maybe that's why.

He's in crafting, I hear him most often when stepping from the writ boards towards the provisioning station.

That guy needs to go on tour, to a volcano, or maybe an underwater amphitheater.

He seriously gets on my nerves.

Volcano, amphitheater, meat grinder... all good.

Curtaros is actually more annoying than Stuga. At least you can shut Stuga up by accepting her damn quest. He’s not as annoying as that Bosmer by the Grahtroot wayshrine, though. The way she says Yffre... *eyeball twitch*

If you talk to him to wrap up the Wasten Coraldale delve quest, he will go talk to his daughter and you will never hear him singing again.

At the end of the Wasten Coraldale quest, you ask his daughter where he went. You are supposed to go talk to him. Not sure why the quest disappears from the quest log before the player does this last finishing step.

    @YaYaPineapple
    Thanks for that tip.
I looked for supporting info on the details of that, found another thread, and got it sorted out.
I appreciate the help in alerting me that it could be solved.

I have done that. He is still there singing when I log in to craft.

His singing doesn't bother me though so it isn't a big deal.

I only ever see/hear him in Alinor if I happen to log in while already in the crafting area. Is this not the case for everyone else?

You have tried talking to him in the Alinor crafting area and telling him he should talk to his daughter? Or do you mean you talked to the daughter? (You have to talk to the daughter, then talk to him in the crafting area and tell him to talk to the daughter).

I've done that delve quest on 6 alts, and every time I talk to him after, he disappears from the crafting area. If you have done the delve quest, then talked to the daughter, then talked to him... but he is still there singing, then maybe its a bug that you and some others are experiencing. Maybe report it to ZOS?

Quoted myself to bring it to the top, again, because an edit wont bring it to attention:

I've spoken to Curtaros almost every day since I found him and posted as above.
I've done this every day on 6 out of my 12 'toons.

And every time I go to the Summerset crafting area - He's still singing, and all of the dialogue with everyone is always still the same.
Approach him and the crew, have all the dialogue to completion, turn in my writs and return, and they're all gone.
But I go back the next day for writs again, and there he is - crooning that sappy song and ready for the dialogue again.

There's got to be something else I'm missing, or the quest is still broken and unable to register as complete.

    Ideas?
Anyone verify that it completes completely (and finally) for them?

Thanks for any additional help anyone can supply that it works for them or that it's still broken for them.

Curtaros & Co are my least favorite NPCs for multiple reasons:

    1. Obviously, hearing their song/convo every day is tedious.
    2. Their voices are at least twice as loud as all other NPCs.
    3. Even if you run out of the crafting area, their voices follow you and at the same volume.

Talking to them daily is a waste of time. Anyone know of an addon that mutes them, like you could with Lydia in Skyrim? She was sworn to carry your burdens... in blessed silence.
