Seriously, give raiders a bit of a bone here. Undaunted Plunder doesn't even start to make up for all the potions we end up using. We need more incentives to raid outside of cosmetics locked behind achievements.
Bah. The vAS polymorph is a showcase of everything wrong with RNG. I know people who have never gotten it after dozens of clears. And someone who got it on their first clear. People who have gotten two in the span of a week and people who have gotten zero after months of clears.
The chances of a drop is so low that I have a hard time believing that anyone runs vAS to farm for the polymorph. Granted, it's a nice reward if you happen to hit that jackpot, and the possibility of hitting that jackpot might be a mild sweetener for some, but does it actually motivate people in a substantial way? No. Well, okay, maybe for the type of person who flush money into lotteries...
If there is to be a reward, it should be free of this nonsense of randomness. Want something to be very rare with a drop rate of 1%? Fine, then break the damn thing into 100 fragments, and give each player 1 fragment per clear, and when someone collects or buys a stack of 100, it can be turned into that shiny something. Come to think of it, that's more or less how the new Cyrodiil cosmetics work. Good job PvP devs!
Or, on the PvE side, the Welkynar motif is a good example of a fair way to reward content (why is Militant Ordinator exempted from the carnage of the Anniversary Event motif wipefest and Welkynar is not?) Fun fact: according to my Raidificator logs, I've cleared vAS +2 more times than I've cleared vCR +3. Yet I've made more gold from Welkynar motifs (and this is after having consumed a full set for my own personal use) than I have from vAS polymorphs (I'll leave the reader to infer from the tone of this post how many of those polymorphs have dropped for me).

BoE trial drops doesn't equal giving raiders a bit of a bone, it would give raiders millions of gold each run depending on the trial. If raiders do veteran runs, they get golden jewelry that they can deconstruct, undaunted plunder and the 10k golden item from hardmode for each run. You get plenty.
However, all this only works when you complete the (veteran)run. An evening of wiping won't be very lucrative.
