Opinions on the Stick Mounts?

I couldn't care less about any of it and I'm DEFINITELY not surprised.

I'm happy with the speed not being mount speed but not using the stick while sprinting is disappointing.

I am fine with them going at the speeds someone on foot can, but going full mount speed would be silly.

Exactly, you have ways to make your feet move faster than average with magic. So why shouldn't you be able to do the same with a stick mount? There's no reason why this mount shouldn't be a real mount.

You can buy the white mane horse in the crown shop for 900 crowns, which is a real fully functioning mount. So that argument is moot.

so what? its just a video game and people want some fun. you can drink a potion during combat to run faster, you can cast a spell to run faster, you can use a magic broom to run faster. their decision to limit speed is an epic fail as for me.

I've wanted all 3, but 350 gems for a joke-stick is too much. Especially when new crates coming next week.

If it used your mount speed like a regular mount then it would be worth crowns. But with how it operates now it should of just been an achievable item and its not worth the amount of crowns they are selling it for. But hey to each their own.

crowns? tell that to the dragon stick which costs almost same as apex mounts.

No it consumes mount stam, but it will be your character speed, not riding speed. Your character will also not really 'ride' the mount and instead just hold it over their shoulder while the run normally.

It use mount stamina. Just speed is like 0/60, not your actual training.

If the flame mounts can leave smouldering footprints, and the frost mounts can do the ice equivalent, then why don't the stick mounts leave a trail of spent matches?

It would of been better to have them in an event box (in pieces to put together) or not at such a high cost for what they are.

Disappointed all around. If they aren't going to work like mounts they shouldn't be priced like mounts - period.

Course the fact that players STILL will buy this means - no lesson will be learned.

But does mean I save my money!

Indeed. If they would get the same speed as a "normal" mount and everybody would use them the game would become a silly version of TES.

I think they are still overpriced though.

Mounts are more usefull. You can use it as mount for both long and short time, both staying in place and moving (much more than with mementos and emotes!), and also you can use it for decorating house, as any mounts (and that's very nice and quite unique item).

I was wondering if it was going to be animated as a floating stick where the character stood then floated during movement in a way similar to the sep adder and the tiny bone dragon pets... Or if it would be animated as the character galloping along at a totally ludicrous speed:

Either of those would have been cool.

Now I hear it’s nothing more than character sprint speed. They could have had a small pouch appear for capacity, a wheel appear at the bottom for speed, and a wood cross piece tied where the character could sit/lean while stopped for stamina and let it be a full mount. But no.

Super-ludicrous letdown.
