Return to 2 part dungeons

I'd like this to happen. I get that in the early days v1 was the equivalent of normal, with v2 essentially the veteran level, but the conceptual aspect of story continuation in v2 made it interesting. Currently normal is only used as a casual experience or training run. The original conceit of stand alone, multi part stories would make repeating the content more attractive in my view. This also adds a much needed intermediate tier of difficulty. Maybe even a v3 for older content wouldn't go amiss either.

Lock part+ behind completion of part- to provide progression.

There are plenty of dungeons with scenic doors and dead ends that could easily be extended to add new areas instead of dropping entirely new dungeon locations. Surely this would be cost effective development and provide incentive to run older dungeons - - familiarity would yield better dungeon experience too :wink: just thinking out loud.

    This topic resurfaces periodically since the launch of the original vet dungeons. A number of original dungeons never received this treatment - Arx Corinium, Blackheart Haven, Blessed Crucible, Direfrost Keep, Selene's Web, Vaults of Madness... Even though some of these already have inaccessible parts of the map allegedly designed for this purpose. Guess it's just hard to put extensions of base game dungeons behind new paywalls?

    Well, yes I suggested to put 3 extend dungeon as the dungeon DLC (since most of the map doesn't need redesign)

    But if the story line is continueing, even on other maps, I'm not complaining (like in wrathstone, both dungeons are extending the volenfall storyline)

    Feel free to check the thread in my signature guys ^^. There is something like 30 screen in direfrost II and 30 screens in Arx corinium II ( + Arx corinium III/mazzatun draft). The second part of these dungeon have been waiting and hidden since 2015.

    Im predicting now that on the next dungeon update this will happen or we will see it begin to happen, The next dlc dungeon pack will give us 14 DLC dungeons which is too many imo ( shoulders for any set will be a pita to get ). I reckon a new 4th undaunted pledge giver will arrive and in his/her rota will be V2’s and the newest DLC’s

    I really want a continuation to the Selenes Web storyline that Warlock guy is a legitimate bad guy he got his entire party of mage guild people killed, tricks you into fighting Selene just so he can absorb Selenes power after you weaken her and then hes all smug and he thinks he a tough guy theres an option to intimidate him but nothing really happens and honestly Selene was just trying to protect the forest we the player are actually the bad guy and I want the opportunity to make it right i guess

    For the dungeons in the base game I think Zos might feel at odds of creating a continuation of some of the dungeons that never received a second part to their story since it would be continuing the story of a base game but it would obviously be in a DLC.

    I think that is a reason why we have not seen a second part to the Cold Harbor dungeon. Some of those original dungeons would make for a great second part to the story.

    Beyond that, I would not suggest a second part to the story, and especially third part, just for the sake of it. I think the plan for this year is a great plan, to tie the dungeons into the story for this year. it makes sense.

    Agree! Especially Vaults of Madness! O M G - so much room for awesome expansion!

    I’d love love LOVE it if we could still properly experience the original mech and power of the final boss.
