    What makes you believe it would be removed? They just added a loading screen hint explaining it exists.

    ...this is a silly question. Of course not. Removing animation cancelling at this point would require a significant overhaul of pretty much every major system.

    Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

    It should be. Along with heavy attack matching actual duration of heavy attck istead attack lasting 1s while animation plays for 2s.

    What exactly do you mean with 'animation cancelling'? The ability to break an animation while it is running and start a new one is a vital part of most games. If you are speaking about light attacks not being bound to the normal global cooldown that's something completely different

    The one that lets you use a skill and then quickly block an incoming attack without waiting for the skill animation to finish?

    Or the one that lets you bar swap to use skills after the GCD has passed even if a longer animation is still playing?

    Or light attack weaving, which just got a loading screen tip explaining how to do it to go with the level up advisor tip explaining how to do it?

    Right. None of those are changing anytime soon.

    No clue...but some of these guys.. Jeez....its like youbstart taking damage and you hear something like hyper speed scissors cutting.

    You die...

    And your death recap amounts to half or less your damage and wonder why you dies so fast!

    Good questions, and no they can not make cast time on all spells. So fun with cast time on healing spells, trying to heal tank as he got hit in the face trying to cast an debuff.
    Now talk about PvP then all skills are telegraphed and can be bashed.


    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    I don't think it will be remove given that some of the devs themselves might use it. The fact that it hasn't been removed or changed even when they could do it. The number of players reliant on this for dps in content. Plus it would require a overhaul of the system, and changes to how abilties work possibly even cooldowns on abilties to match their animation times. Given individual cool downs is something they don't want to do. I don't see it ever happening and the uproar over this would be a lot worse then the Bosmer Changes with the latest update.

    Last year I sat in on a meeting with the ZOS Combat teams and the community representatives. Guess what they discussed? Making Animation Canceling better. What was not discussed was removing AC.

    Animation Canceling is a thing for this game. It will be tweaked, it will be polished, it will not be removed.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Probably not. It does not make sense that cutting off an action lets you reap the full benefits of the action, but a lot of people like it and ZOS seems fine with it.

    No. They tried once and failed, hence why they made it a 'feature'. My guess is it would require a lot of core coding changes that would be far too time consuming and costly. No point.

    I honestly couldn't give a damn that it's in the game. What I do give a damn about is content and balancing being designed around the damage numbers that animation cancelling can achieve. If people who abuse it want to do so to reach said numbers, then go right ahead. Just don't whine and cry that content is too easy because of it.

    i have to agree with this ^

    although, it is possible it will be removed, but that would take alot of recode-ing and money, time, and resources.

    Animation cancelling is embedded into the game at this point. There would have to be MASSIVE overhauls to the core mechanics of the game to remove it at this point.

    As long as you're not able to bypass the global cooldowns (that would be exploiting) then everything is fine right now. The last thing I ever want is to have to wait a second for my block or dodge roll to kick in. Every mechanic in the game would have to be adjusted for this new delay.
