It's your call. I almost always report, unless it's very mild. Ignoring bad behavior to appease the nerdbros only emboldens their idiocy. They get angry about so-called sjw's (a term coined by and primarily used by morons) because it threatens what they see as their right to misbehave with impunity.

Just ignore, that's what the function is for. To report people they would have to actively grief me (kill me in PvE through hacks or something). In the past I used to report bots but I've given up on that (and hardly see them anymore anyway).

The person who is acting like a idiot and attempting to insult their own team mates is really just a mediocre player trying to blame others for the group not doing well.

Unfortunately it is to common that people hide behind the anonymity of the internet and berate people like this but it is usually the case they are not very good players themselves or they would be grouped with others more often plus they likely are very sad with their real lives and take out their frustrations on others.

While that is an opinion, it is pretty much accurate and we see it in other areas of the game as well. Look at most of the posts complaining about others they find in dungeons via GF. If they were a decent player they could carry others through most dungeons. More importantly they would have no real reason to complain as they could easily form their own group or get into one via their guilds.

So in the end, I feel sorry for the halfwits OP has described and consider myself blessed I have people to run with in all aspects of this game.

Think about it for a moment, If they are complaining during the match, especially if they are typing it, they are not focused on what needs to be done while typing.

What is funny is in another game that is better at filling empty spots when they are vacated I have seen a number of times someone constantly typing complaints about the group. Most of the time when this happens and they drop we end up coming from behind and winning with the replacements.

It just goes to show what I said in the previous post and those who are berating others are not very good themselves. They just think they are.

It depends on their behavior. Unless someone indulges in some kind of stalking, or particularly abusive nonsense, I just block them, port away, and do something enjoyable. Reporting is seldom worth my time.

If it bothers you report it. You getting an automated response doesn't mean they are ignoring the issue. ZoS is very clear they will not respond to let you know if they took action. The way I look at it is if I am the first to report probably nothing will happen. If several people have reported similar incidents then some action may take place.

Stuff like this doesn't matter. You won't ever meet those people. None of them is in any position to actually hurt you. They are of no consequence to you. They're just background noise... a part of animated backdrop that only exists to fill this pretend-world with some semblance of life.

If you actually go out of your way to report puny stuff like this, then you're wasting more time than they're worth (and worse, you're wasting time of some GM out there who has to deal with your report). Stuff like this can be easily ignored. Eventually, your brain will learn not to register it. "In one ear and out the other," as the old saying goes. Reporting should be reserved for threats of violence and similar criminal acts, not for an in-game equivalent of "Waaaa, he's making ugly faces at meeeee!"

@luizpaulom17 @Oakenaxe I've been in dungeon groups with Spanish speakers (I know Brazil is Portuguese) and have seen derogatory comments towards me that I'm sure were made with the assumption I couldn't understand it. I only wish I could see their faces when I responded in Spanish that they shouldn't make assumptions about we Anglos. I'm not trying to justify the behavior towards either of you just pointing out you aren't alone.

Let me clarify for you. I was explicitly talking about mere words offending people. There is a difference between words and racist or sexist behaviour, for example when someone kick you from trial group or dungeon group because you are latino or irish - that is report worthy racist behaviour. When someone kick you from a guild because you are a women - that is unacceptable sexist behaviour. On the other note, when someone takes you into trial group just because you are a women is acceptable sexist behaviour.
There is a difference between actions and words. I would not report someone who is calling me "filthy slav". Whatever, big deal. But if i was to be treated differently because im filthy slav, that would be racist action. You see my point?
