Hello and welcome to this beautiful thread, my name is Codestripper, however, you may call me Code. I've been pet sorcing it up since 2014 and I'm delighted to bring you some Racial details on the Pet Sorc DPS parsing for patch 4.3.3. This idea was inspired by @susmitds and his testing in the past, although I don't exactly have too much time on my hands after work, so this is an accumulation of data for a few days. I also was not exactly able to find someone to give me raid buffs, but I think the results are still fairly solid.

For your added benefit I will also be including the raw parse data from each parse in the following location:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/11tTrKPc8u_5BeF-j6qRYQwvDHZdSllPD/view?usp=sharing

Here is a breakdown of each race's damage per mundus stone. The mundus stones used were the Thief, Shadow, and Mage as these are the only stones that scale pet damage specifically.

Also, this is an overview of the build I was using for all of these parses:

salum9h6yoh3.png

Note: All parses were done with the same enchantments / gear / rotation. No races had sustain issues due to the heavy attack rotation, therefore I did not see a need to change anything in the build accordingly. (Any parses where several light attacks or skills were missed or double cast were discarded)

Here is a video of one of the parses I was particularly proud of for your viewing pleasure:

If you have any notes, comments, or suggestions please feel free to comment down below and let me know! I hope some of you find this useful.

Thank you for this. Just have one question, why do you have crystal shard on your bar? Is it for the group minor prophecy?

Stuff like this might well be more important than the race re-balancing.

Not currently working unfortunately. Hopefully they'll get that fixed for the next cycle, I just have him slotted because I didn't feel like re-morphing it into the matriarch again lol

    Her* if I may.
And what will you do when there is opposition ? I guess you will just die ?
You have no protection at all. So I suppose you are hoping a healer will carry your entire carrier in ESO.

This is all nice in theory. But what about reality ?

    Nice work!

Since you are using shock enchant and lightning blockade, the parse is somewhat inflated by Minor Vulnerability and Exploiter passive. But anyways, nice numbers.

I think that Shadow Mundus may be worse than Thief when Major Force takes place.

This is just a trial setup. I use this in most trial content (albeit I do use the matriarch). For instances like 4 man content where I need my own protection I swap out inner light for either a shield or power surge depending.

Interesting, though a bit disappointed that Shadow will be the clearly best Mundus next patch. If Mage could've worked anywhere it's for petsorc.

Also, voted awesome for choice of music.

    why wasn't lover mundus tested?

I play mostly solo and i have found via my own testing that lover beats mage, apprentice, thief and shadow.

Did you change CP to account for change in mundus? Also yeah with major and minor force Shadow becomes worse. So if you got those buffs it would even out a bit more. I like how close they all are.

Because when you don't play solo, you don't need that extra pen, it is provided by your tank/healer. You can run what ever you want when you are solo.

So the Breton parses less well because their sustain passive isn’t useful in the heavy attack rotation? Makes sense.

How come the gap is so big between altmer and dunmer? Altmer should be very slightly ahead, but I’m surprised that you can see the difference at all with the passives being so similar.

I think the main reason for Thief to be rather low is Mother's Sorrow. When you combine it to Thief it's just too much relying on the crit. It'd go visibly higher with say Siroria.

This might be a nice Altmer build as the raw damage sinergizes very well with the HA rotation. Even better if the channeled HA counts towards Altmer's defensive racial passive.

Very interesting results, thanks for sharing. You should’ve made Altmer the yellow line, Dunmer gray, and Breton blue though.

I’m surprised to see Altmer and Dunmer doing that well since their Spell Damage doesn’t affect pets. Khajiit Crit Damage does and synergizes well with Mothers Sorrow. This combination should be very strong, since Sorcerers are lacking a Crit Damage passive, which is what your data shows when they supplement their low Magicka pool with the newly-buffed Mage Stone. Even with Thief, Khajiit May come out on top for a pet Sorc.

I don’t understand how Dunmer could outperform Altmer in any of these, I assume that’s just noise in the data. The 2 of them being top DPS in Shadow Stone makes perfect sense, since it makes up for the lack of class or race Crit Damage.

The fact that this is a heavy attack build negates the impact of sustain, which underestimated Bretons effectiveness for most builds. It also means that Khajiit is often slightly better than shown because they have more Magicka recovery than Altmer or Dunmer.

I still think that there is something weird in the shadow tests. Nothing in the class passives should give altmer over 1.3k more dps than dunmer.

Randomly better timing of heavy attacks with offbalance maybe? The two races should be near identical on this build given their passives.

    Altmer not being Yellow
    Breton not being Blue
    Dunmer not being Red

is really getting to me. But gg on the tests these are very useful to see.

    Very interesting!

It's funny that Khajiit, Altmer and Dunmer each make up for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the parses whereas Breton always is 4th. Might be due to the unnecessary racial sustain and quite frequent use of HA resource restoration

I am pretty sure one of the patch notes said that pets will be affected by spell damage. Therefore u might want to test another stone.
Now seriously though, as a main pet sorc, keep it secret. Keep it safe.

    nope.
All pets will now inherit your bonuses and derived stats. This means your Critical Hit Chance, Critical Hit Multipliers, Champion Points, and other % damage or healing amplifications will be applied to any pet you summon. Item sets that summon pets will continue to not inherent your Critical Strike Chance.
This was aimed at making the stat scaling system easier to understand in the long run; when you increase your own damage, your pets will now follow in scale as such. This is part of an ongoing process to make pets clearer and more enjoyable to use.

@codestripper in the parse video you seem to be recasting dots early a lot. Would getting the 6 second morphs of LL and Blockade be worthwhile? Or fitting in another skill or spam or something?
