Dear Zenimax, What are you not telling us about EU servers problem?

Since that ominose server maintenance I have all the issues described here and in other topics. During the weekend the game was literally unplayable, even interactions with NPCs or the bank has been killed by lag spikes. And still haven't seen any official recognition or any attempt to eliminate the issues.
As the level of service provided by ZOS reached the "not fit for purpose" state in my book I just have cancelled my membership - I'm sorry if money is the only language they speak though.

Playing on both EU and US servers from the UK, the only time I've noticed any difference between them recently was last Monday between the two maintenance sessions. I suspect there's something going on with the network routing, hence some players are affected while most aren't. Those affected need to start a topic with some detailed specs and traceroutes so they can see if there's a common cause. It would also be worth testing add-ons, it's perfectly possible that a particular addon has compatibility issues with whatever was done in this last week's maintenance. Also check your ISP's forums to see if there's any common problem being experienced there. If it was simply the server then every single player would be affected.

After updating all my addons, seems like it helped abit, friend said it helped him too.

I noticed that tracerout to EU ESO server (located in UK now) was done from my home (Poland) through 14 chops by USA.
Routing by NETWORK ATLAS.
MTR ping: 100-150ms, and game mostly unplayable in PvP zones.

I asked my ISP to solve the problems. ISP switched/chenged my connection to TELIA NETWORK.
Now routing by 8 chops.
MTR: 25-55ms, and game much more playable most time but at prime time and crowded zone (like 4 full blue groups in one zone) still unplayable.

So, yes. There is something with tracerout, and maybe location of EU ESO server witch is in UK and many people here thought is in Germany.
Maybe they switched server to other place/provider?
ESO is dying so maybe they just bought chipper server.

I can confirm the full day maintenance wrecked the game for me, completely unplayable.

Megalong loading screens, log in & log off times, delays on barswaps and basically everaything else. After login within 5-10 minutes my ping will spike spike from normal (60+) to 999+, the game becomes completely unresponsive and I visibly lag for everyone around until everything freezes and get kicked out the game after minutes of being frozen. After relogging the procedure repeats itself, 5-10 min until complete lag shutdown.

Before the last full day maintenance I had none of those problems, I live in Germany and my ping is usually between 53-83. My internet seems to work completely fine in all other applications and/or streams. I tried playing with updated addons, without addons - it doesnt make a difference.

I really hope this gets fixed soon, because at the moment it doesn't make sense for me to log even in, I get frustrated already when waiting for minutes just to log in.

It would be highly appreciated to get a message from ZOS informing what has changed with the update and whether they are aware of the issues it has caused.

Actually I start to think what ZOS did last Monday was not a software update on PC/EU but a hardware downgrade and they needed the added maintenance time for the data transfer (would also explain why they couldnt understand what happened later when the server was not responding at all and why they needed two more shutdowns to reach basic functinality).

No way back from that ofc, so they behave as if there wouldnt be any issues at all and ignore all complaints.

200-300ms ping? I'd KILL for 300ms ping. I'd be that excited if that were my ping I wouldn't be able to leave the house without getting arrested!

Funny thing is even though I am in EU I have same ping in NA server... just shows how much EU need better servers.

Dont worry people, when all those "leet players" that are ragequitting over race changes and that their race is now 0.05% behind, issues wil lresolve itself.

There is definitely something going on with the Servers. Both Vivec and Sotha are absolutely unplayable in prime time. BG queues are broken since the double AP event (in prime time only, try to queue in the afternoon - accept will work without a problem which means the potato servers simply can't handle all the players in the evening...)

Maybe they finally applied all security patches for Intel CPUs which can downgrade performance of those CPUs by 50%.

Sadly the only way to talk to ZOS is with our wallets about this issue, but im afraid the community are not united enough to do such things.

I play on EU server from NA, but man is it terrible. 300-400 ping base. Now before someone says "ah well you're across the ocean, so that's why..." Just a few months ago, and even during the New Life festival I only had 100-200 ping. From what I've seen and heard on the EU server everyone there has lag. Even the dungeon instances bug out in ways that you rarely ever see in NA.

You know something is wrong when a trial instance full of people go poof. I haven't even bothered stepping into Cyrodil for the last few months. I can imagine what that's like already!

There is definitely something amiss with the EU server - they just tried to transfer the EU chars to PTS - it was offline all yesterday - failed so reapplied the NA chars and said they would try EU again next week!

I wish more people would come to the forum and expose this situation. I see people complaining on /zone chat everyday so it shows that this problem is affecting alot of players.

It's really sad that ZOS is not giving us any information or even an apology from all this mess.

It's sad because i have met many ppl who want to play the game and they quit because the problems.
Last Sunday cyro and bg's queue was broken until late night..
Personally I will cancel my subscription until zenimax take care of their servers and costumers.

I’m also UK ant the last few evenings I’ve noticed terrible lag spikes and general ping spiking from 250- +999. Ended up having to just log off and mess around on the US server as eu was unplayable

Took us 15 minutes to get into scalecaller dungeon.
