Do you use the keyboard for skill casting or the mouse?

Here is my setup for reference, cause I like to be able to use the wsad keys and cast skills at the same time:


Edit: Sorry for not putting those options for "both" or "controller", when I made the thread I was aiming it more at the ongoing "keyboard" vs "mouse" setup when it came to casting skills on PC. I did not think those from console would be interested in participating in the poll, and for that I apologize.

by moving my thumb...you can have your thumb on both buttons. Just tip it toward the skill you want to cast then bar swap to cancel. It's not hard.

And light attack animation cancelling is easy cause It's just click light attack - > click skill.

animation cancelling is actually a lot easier with this setup than you would imagine.

Use the Naga Trinity but with the 12 button thumb pad for skills and for gear swapping. Left hand I use the Orbweaver Chroma for direction, interaction, jumping etc - I honestly have no idea how I played before I bought it.

I have same mouse. Trying to slowly add options so the muscle memory kicks in. My bar swap is on the scroll roller. Bend it to the right = weapon swap

Same mouse right hand for light and heaveys bocking bash... the buttons ..jump. roll dodge. Bar switching.

Keyboard is more than enough for a game with 6 skills.

I use the following setup:
Movement: WASD
Skills: QERCXZ
Consumable: Tab
Dodge roll/weapon swap: Forward/back buttons on mouse

I have no problems using WASD and casting at the same time with this setup.

Besides, MMO mice suck for shooters, so you're basically buying a mouse for one genre.

I use an Xbox controller.

I tried using mouse and keyboard after switching from Xbox, but it has become so ingrained into my muscle memory that I decided to just stick with using a controller. So I use mouse and keyboard whenever I'm in towns or just wandering around since the UI is better, but when it comes to combat I switch to a controller.

Mouse buttons, the Naga with 12 side buttons. The small buttons aren't optimal for hitting the middle buttons, so I program button 6 to be #5.
My bar swap is on the mouse wheel side movements ( both ways), which is great for me.

I use a regular mouse with a regular keyboard. Changed a couple of keys only so I don't drop my ultis by mistake, but otherwise it's a matter of practice.

Also double tap for dodge.

Yeahh sorry, when I was thinking of the poll I was thinking it would be more of a keyboard vs mouse thing. Didn't really think about controllers since it's like a whole different playstyle. My bad

I have some of my skills on my mouse, including barswap and dodgeroll, and three skills per bar. + ultimate I use E and Q for other two abilities on both bars.

Agreed. I have a 12 button MMO mouse, which is great for skills, but I agree its no place for the bar swap. I need my skills and bar swap on opposing thumbs.

Using this M95. The forward tigger button is skill 5, and working backwards along the top are skills 4, 3, 2, 1, and the ult. Bottom two are weapon swap 1 & 2. The center arrow shaped button is my dodge roll.

exactly, coming from wow especially it was super easy getting used to the keybinding here.

Naga Chroma + Orb Weaver

Though, I've almost entirely ditched the Orb Weaver and primarily use my Black Widow X Chroma because I hate moving back-and-forth to type replies

My key layouts are identical on the KB and OW so I see no advantage to one over the other.

I could *NEVER* go back to the KB (or OW) for Skills after having purchased my first-gen Naga in 2012.

*EDIT*

On the OW my "Bar Swap" is right where my thumb rests (not the space button). On my KB I changed "Bar Swap" to ALT and have bound ALT to the #10 button on my Naga.

3 = 3
4 = 4
5 = 5
6 = R
7 = Weapon Sheath (RP!)
8 = Quick Slot
9 = Toggle Walk (RP!)
10 = ALT
11 = Mount
12 = Free Mouse

I also use Middle Mouse Click, Middle Mouse Wheel Left, Middle Mouse Wheel Right, etc. for things.

I've been using this layout since Beta. Never hit the wrong button.

The keyboard is basic movement and typing.

I use a PlayStation 4 controller and my Mac keyboard. It could be better because I don’t have quick access to all my abilities. It is difficult going from controller to keyboard or it slows me down anyway.
Some of the setups you all have are fricken cool! I need to huant some game stops to find some of these old controllers, although I have been stung before, plugging old and new together.
An SGI Indigo hooked up to a keyboard switcher and instantly knowing that what I had read on the internet was from some idiot who clearly did not know what they were talking about. As in, combining ps2 with SGI keyboards and mice. Put off an impressive amount of smoke however. That will teach me not to ask my friend the irl computer guru first before doing such things.

Loved the old Nostromo. Have since upgraded to Razer's version of it, but that brings me back to my counter strike days. Haha
