Remove Rags from 'Ayleid Royal Crown' Hat

Would it be possible to remove the rags from this hat and just leave the crown? It is such an elegant crown, but the rags almost make it not worth using at all.

Everyone of their "hats" with the rags I think look awful. Better off with nothing or just like a string or ribbon like a masquerade mask.0

That's why they put the fine drapery around the crown so when all the kids were out practicing in the flesh garden they didn't all come home with red necks, like white winter hymnal without the scarfs.“Whatever.”
